  • While the action on track draws the attention of the fans at a World of Outlaws Late Model Series race, a second spectacle, just as unique and mystifying unfolds in the fringes. An army of greens, yellows, pinks, and oranges, ready to do battle, take to their posts in the infield.

    Is anybody else curious how much would actually change (for the worse or the better) if they were allowed to have radios?

      They used radios in the 90s and all I've heard about it is nobody liked them.

      I’d rather see them do away with signals and communication all together. Bunch of good finishes ruined by signals.

      but silvercrowns cars do, and often race on the same 1/2 mile tracks but I suppose it takes away from the skill of the driver to keep aware, of whos behind them, and would take away the need for the blue and yellow flag to let them know they are being overtaken, it is interesting though the sticks or other devices they use till at some races they forbid their use, I never really knew about it till last year and actually saw someone at the 4 crowns using the signaling sticks, there are still though tons of kids the love to practice flag and the one in the glasses that is often seen at kokomo was told by some of the drivers they can see him before they see the flagman above so it was actually kind of a help

      That's not true. I've paid attention to that the last few times I saw sprints in person and there's always several crews signaling.

      @@kyleolson279 yea I know they do, they dont have direct radio spotters though like in nascar indy and usac silver crown signaling is common, that is if your comment was for me kyle

      They also don't run 100 lap features or have a starter, what's your point?

    • @manga12
      @manga12 3 місяці тому +1

      @@imperialmodelworks8473 my point is the silvercrown cars are basicly a foot longer version of non wing sprintcars though its the sprints that were a shorter race take off of the champ cars as opposed to midgets, I was saying the usac silvercrown cars are openwheel and do have spotters

    Your not going to stop signalers, so go to the radio!
