Just as I was starting to lament the absence of our troubadours from the 60s and 70s, I stumble across this video. You are one of many voices that helped me through the rough years of Vietnam and the civil rights struggles of my youth. It saddens me that we don't have more activists and singesr like you and Woody and Arlo and Bob (among others) willing to stand up to the Nasty Man today.
I miss you, Joan Baez. I love this song!

She is a truly caring, loving person who has spent her life struggling to help those who suffer from those who hate, abuse and oppress. She is a true American and world hero who is loved and respected for her work not only in the States but around the world! A courageous and loving person who has put herself on the front line going back to the Civil rights movement and all the other movements to make this world a more just and better place to live! Again, thank you Joan Baez with all my heart for all you have done and still doing to help this world and it's people!

We need to bring back the folk music scene and fight those looking to hurt us be it politically, mentally, physically, psychologically and sexually. Fight racism, sexism, discrimination and backward ideology. We need more like Joan Baez, Pete Seeger, Buffy St. Marie, Bob Dylan, and Phil Ochs.

Its SO good to hear Joan again! Joan was an inspiration to me and one of the reasons I play guitar to this day. She has shamed me and inspired me - shamed me in that I have not written a song like this, or like Woody Guthries "Old Man Trump". - and inspired me to get out the old yellow pad and a pencil. Her voice is still pitch perfect and, she looks great! Our generation stopped a damn war. Peace and Love

what a beautiful room, so full of light and care! She could certainly be enjoying her life and resting, but instead, she comes out again with all her courage and civil responsibility and tells what she thinks with her beautiful voice !!! Go on, we need you!

About time and so fitting that it is Joan. A dear friend I met in grade school introduced me to Joan. I have been hooked every sense. She has always been there to defend right from wrong. This administration has given her much to write about. Thank you, Joan.

I needed to hear this. My favorite line is "when the dirt on this man finally hits the fan......he will be finally and forever obsolete." May this be a prophesy! I think it will, and the tip of the iceberg was Helsinki when journalists Jonathan Lemire and Jeff Mason asked the questions heard 'round the world.

Great song! The guitar reminds me of Mississippi John Hurt a lot. Thank you for doing this, Ms. Baez!
