I found some nice agates and a few jasper.
The agate featured in the last video is shaping up nicely. We're going to be giving that stone away when it's complete.

@@DavidBriggsAdventures I'm very lucky to live very near the Kennet and Avon Canal , there are some beautiful Narrow boats that are lived in all year round.... You would love a narrow boat holiday , plus you can bring your metal detector and find plenty of Roman 👍

I have a bit more work to do on it. The blue in it is absolutely bonkers. It's probably the rarest color of agate to ever be found outside of Ellensburg. Blue is such a rare color. OMG! I'm absolutely stunned by the color. Probably one of my top 10 finds on this river.

I learn a lot from your videos, thank you. I especially like learning about rockhounding away from the beaches. I like being able to look at the ground without worrying about sneaker waves. I also appreciate your remarks about sugar agates. I had someone tell me to stop picking them up because they are junk. I love them though.

Turkeys everywhere! Those are some great looking carnelians you found just lying on the gravel bar. That last agate your working on is really special, I was really surprised to see that, a real top shelf kind of rock :)

Those turkeys really made me laugh! We have tons of them around our place as well. It's really fun when the hands come out with their babies. Those were some beautiful agates you found. That last one is just unbelievable! I've never seen one like it. I can't believe that you're actually going to give it away! I'll be on the lookout for that giveaway offer lol

David, do you ever cut your stones?
Cause an uncut agate is a wasted agate, the beauty is inside!
My saw gave out on me. I do cut stones with a diamond wheel for exterior polishing of stones. It's a fine art to use a diamond wheel for polishing. The sense of touch is similar to learning how to drive a stick shift car. It's a balancing act of touch, angle, and movement. I'm hoping to get a nice flex tool to start carving stones. I currently use a dremel.
