Grow up, we really shouldn't compete in who suffered more, we need to look ahead and create a better future for our children. Believe me, that it's not because of your "stupid" politicians but because of the mafia in Serbia. The state of Serbia has incurred debt for such projects, including similar ones, amounting to approximately 55% GDP. Serbia is constantly taking on debt for roads, bridges, highways, railways, and so on. However, all of this debt must be repaid; nothing is free. Unfortunately, future generations will have to repay the debts incurred by the current government. We can be proud of the train (the only one in the country that reaches these speeds), but it doesn't diminish the fact that we are the fastest and most heavily indebted country in the region relative to our population.

Roughly, this trip would cost about 3x more in a car, and that's just the fuel, not counting tolls or city driving, really. Trains in Serbia were always a popular way of transport, but it has sharply declined in recent years due to them becoming more unreliable than a rusted 1970's car - often, they just wouldn't come, so public gave up on them. If the railway was in better shape (there are sections of railway in the south that have a 5kmh speed limit, you can overtake it just strolling by), and if service was reliable, there'd be no shortage of passengers. Looking forward to connection with Nis, as it's a bit of a longer stretch and people do it fairly frequently in a car, I'm sure most would be happy to do it faster and at half the cost.

Hope they expand this rail in entire length across Serbia that was the plan. 200km is enough and nice speed no need for faster since Serbia is not that big, great video keep it up!

Novi Sad woooow predivan kolodvor, zaista impresivno izdanje.....

It would be interesting to travel all way from Munich or Prague, via Budapest and Belgrade to Athens. The trains are much more fun! I'm impressed with the look of this train, and the price is a bargain :) Well done Serbia! Travelling soon from JFK to Tel Aviv, with a 2-night stop in Belgrade. Not sure I'll have enough time to try that train :(
