One this that these idiots never ever ever ever tell you and it’s so important is what????? What type of fuel, 600 hp reliably yes I agree only if it’s tune on E85, however a lot of people would love to have a daily turbo case serious so how much power can you make on pump gas that’s the real question!!!! So when everyone ses yes these engines are reliable every engine on this planet is 100% reliable if it’s tuned on E85, but if it’s tune on pump gas you can’t make that much power and the life of the engine won’t last as long with hi horsepower, so to everyone is these comments becarful what you believe these don’t tell you that.............................. your welcome
Building a reliable 1.6-2.4L 500HP engine on pump gas isnt advisable no matter how built it is. That’s completely irrelevant to stock k24 vs built b18. It should be common sense that anything past 400 needs to run on a higher octane fuel. Once again, whether it’s a built forged internal B18 with sleeves or a stock k20. Reliable 500 in a 4cyl isn’t going to happen on pump. The real crime here is your name being ‘fast guy’ without owning anything fast.
Humble Performance not a lot people have access to E85 or maybe they want a daily driver but still make good power just be sure to state what fuel these engines are using to make 500-600hp god bless you
I’m sorry that you arent intellectually capable enough to discern this video isn’t a comprehensive guide to setting up your car to making power. The next time I make a video as a suggestion or an opinion, I’ll be sure to include a 120 article table of contents and spend 500 hours making a wiki to answer every single question that might arise despite the concept of pump gas limitations being universal across all engines and understanding a majority of my audience are intelligent enough to understand fuel has an effect on on how much power a car can make.

I just picked up a full K24A4 with the engine harness and a 5 speed transmission for only $750. 144k miles. It ran great in the 2003 Accord we got it out of. My B18C5 sleeved block cost me almost $2500 alone. All I need now is the K20 head. So excited to get it fabbed up in my car

The mistake I made buying my RSX was not looking into it more I didn’t know about type s or anything. I ended up with a base, had it for 5 months, couple months ago it seized due to oil leak. We all love and know the k24a2 and k20a2 as the k series kings. I think it would be great to see some lower end k series motors be pushed as well. K24a1/4, k20a3 can be had for extremely cheap and it would be cool to see you guys push a couple of those to the limit and show everyone where they begin to fail or peak power compared to the almighty k24/k20a2.
They fucking suck man. I boosted a k24a1 based on the hype. 20psi on the a1 bottom end lasted 2 months and absolutely destroyed a rod and cut the whole bottom end in half. Put another stock block in on 14psi and it lasted 4 weeks and squashed a rod without breaking it. Now on 9psi and it’s fine. The rods are weak as piss. If you don’t have an a2 engine do not bother trust me.
@@rotorpsi9873 I’m not trying to say they can hold up to the k24a2 or k20a2 but just looking for actual info on the less desirable and extremely affordable options. It’s well known the rods are a lot weaker on the a4/1/3 motors. The same thing was known about the ls(non vtec) b18 and b20. Yet people used them over and over again for boost setups or all motor where we got the b20v and ls vtec setups. I would like to see the same come from these low end cheap k series. You have your answer nemico 20psi = destroyed in months 14psi = squished in a month 10psi = Alive , that’s all on a gt3076 so a1 is only good for 50% more power on the rods and all the others are the same as the rods are the same

Great Info!! I actually did a budget excel sheet comparison with building an all motor B vs Stock K, and the price was nearly the same. B20V 240-250whp vs Stock K20A2/Z1/Z3 w/Cams = SAME $$$ It’s a no brainer to go with K20, stock Block with aftermarket Cams will easily get you to 240-250whp All Motor. Why go with K? You’re just preparing yourself for the best future setup, let’s say if you ever want to go K24, you already have the mounts, ECU, everything already, just gotta buy a block, Pistons and rods and such, and you’ll be set. On top of that B series parts are super hard to find now days especially GSR/B16. The amount of horsepower and reliability from Doing a K swap has much potential for power and opens the door for different K setups making good power. Overall, this is just my personal opinion on LONG TERM ENGINE/SWAP INVESTMENT!! Shout out to Humble Performance and for this Video!!
Just rolled 51k miles on my partially built k24/k20 (built k24a4 bottom, stock k20z1 head) and it still runs amazing. Reliable as fuck, affordable as fuck.
what a difference a couple years make, the A2 variants in my area are 3-4k now. And even the a4 variants are around 1k. The only cheap a2's now are beat to shit.
If I were to get a stock JDM K24A and turbo it on pump gas (93 octane) would I be able to reliably get 450-500 HP? I'm looking to build something fast, fun, and reliable. Now I know that those words don't like each other but I see you guys keep saying you make these stock motors reliable, is this true for my goals, or do I need to plan to build a motor?

My dream is to drop a k24a2 in an MR2 Spyder and have it produce about 350 HP at the crank. Is there such a kit?
Someone just gave me a 95’ del sol and dude hit it on the head when I was in highschool in the beginning of the 2000’s I had buddy’s building B16 and B18 with a crv head and all carbon fiber hoods and you know the whole meal deal and I always wanted to do it but I bought a wrx instead and I have a 750whp Dodge Ram that I’d put up against some of these car. But I want to make 500whp with a turbo and so I’m glad I watched this even though a bit tough to understand but I got the gist! K24-A1/A4 will take 500hp with a full engine build when the B18 would need a full build! I got the car for free so already ahead! Where is the best place to try and swoop up an clean K24 block and the EPS 5 speed trans? And who’s got the best tuning? I use EFILIVE for my Cummins and am starting to do my own tuning so that would be cool same platform but I sought life would be that easy?! Any advise would be greatly appreciated!
Hey y’all you probably won’t see this comment but do you think there’s is some power in dropping a k20a head on a k24a8 accord from what I hear it’s the restriction on the head is what really kills the power.

So to have a B18 rebuilt by you guys it's around 4500 to 5k? I have a stock b18c swapped del sol with a turbo and I suspect the headgasket is on it's way out and I'm weighing options on either just fixing the headgasket or going ahead and doing a total motor refresh and also doing forged pistons, rods and retainers so I can up the boost a bit (350/375whp on pump gas would be my goal).
I'm actually in the process of building my first k24 (tsx A2 head with accord A4 block) but wanna build a daily reliable engine putting out 500hp that won't spark up any issues for a LONG time. Should I still build the block as extra insurance? Or am I being too worrisome?
I have a 2018 Accord 2.0T with the 10 speed auto and wanting to mod it. I’m looking for reliability… but have fun! 😊 This video gives me hope! Can I call and get some ideas?
B series prices are already through the roof in the UK and all the engines and gearboxes are worn out. I'm yet to know someone with a B series who has reliably run even 300+bhp
Well sad brother. Unfortunately I wanna B serious built. But the next belt for my civic will be K serious. Thanks for this video. I really appreciate it..
We are makin more than 500hp just on a stock b16a motor on a stock ek chassis and nocking on the doors of the 9sec zone pass after pass with no issues 😐
Hey, love the video but I have a question. Is a stock K24A4 worth the trouble if you just aiming for 300+ whp? I've seen a few guys "supposedly" just put a turbo on it and they hit a little above 350hp. Thanks in advance.
Kenny at 10:18 you say the "crank is the same" while comparing blocks...the same as what, exactly? Other K24's I assume. We have a K20A2 with a scratched crank, and I'm seeing people and photos saying the K20A2 crank is unique and must be replaced with same. Someone get me straight, please?
I’ve got a EG hatch with a B18C5 already swapped into it. I want to build the car to turbo to make 350-400 hp, completely street and grand touring car, no racing. For this application, which will require a significant investment in the engine, would I be better off just selling my B18 and buying a K-series instead?

Great Info!! I actually did a budget excel sheet comparison with building an all motor B vs Stock K, and the price was nearly the same.
B20V 240-250whp vs Stock K20A2/Z1/Z3 w/Cams = SAME $$$
It’s a no brainer to go with K20, stock Block with aftermarket Cams will easily get you to 240-250whp All Motor.
I'm the guy obsessed with the intro. Where did it go? I'm a VW guy, but you guys are awesome. I want to K-swap one of my Golfs. Where's the intro?
might as well be a honda guy if you going to kswap it lol
what a difference a couple years make, the A2 variants in my area are 3-4k now. And even the a4 variants are around 1k. The only cheap a2's now are beat to shit.
Good stuff. Im getting back into it after about 5 years coming off b series. Glad i went with a k24 this time. 🤙
I'm buying a eg & I'm going to put a k series in it so I'm absorbing all this info 👍🏼
I'm from the UK and looking to build mr2 mk1 k swap so I found your information very interesting and must say loving the channel so keep it up guys 👍🤙💪
Love!!!! My K series . 210k miles am still fun as can be. I hope to swap for a k24a2 or a c class crate racing engine
I really enjoy watching these new style videos. The tips and tricks to pull out more power that most keep a secret is awesome, that alone makes Evey video worth watching. I've been out of Honda's for several years now and you guys make me want to get back into it. Keep it up!
You got me at 500 hp stock block 👍 my ol lsv blew @450whp
I love the videos .I have 08 civic si sedan I'm trying to build so all the videos are very helpful
I want to build up my k24a4 and would like to get your opinion on my future build
I seriously can't wait for them to have their own budget d series build
Been here since 15k subscribers... AWESOME INFO!! HUMBLE FTW
love for the gsr
would you say a 300hp k20 stock motor is going to be more reliable than a 500 one, what do you think about that. cheers

Thats 95% of parts. Did it myself. I did spend a little more, i did new timing and gaskets, etc... i also took my time buying parts. Took me 6months to get the car running. If you doing the swap. I highly highly suggest. Buy engine, Transmission, clutch and mounts. Put the engine in the car. It will greatly motivate you to finish it since you see it in the car.
You tell me this as i finish by B series build.... Kinda wish I had gone K
yo this stuff is very enjoyable id love to see more walk-through vids of building engines or something?
I really appreciate this channel. The tech info I learn from you is "mind expanding" regarding the many things that need to be known. As Biggy once said " if you don't know, now you know". My dream is to drop a k24a2 in an MR2 Spyder and have it produce about 350 HP at the crank. Is there such a kit?
Yes they make engine mounts to swap the k24a2 in it, turbocharger it or all motor with nitrous.
I have a 2007 Mini Cooper non-s….everything works down to the a/c and it’s 6-sod….I’ve done light mods but I want to k-swap it. Why is there no channels non -uk for these swaps? This is such a light fun chassis.
More Humble Performance engine building tips ? I approve this message 😁
U should keep doing more videos like these and also tuning videos. I hope I’m not the only one.
Got a k20a2 for 350$. Comp tested and perfect condition.
Dam that was a great deal 🔥
@@dragforlife8660 yea it was. He knew nothing about it. Sold to him as running.
question: i have a k20A euro r motor i recently put spring and retainer and skunk2 stage 2 cams, now a decided to go k24/20 how much power should i expected? ported Rbc head, 80mm TB,3”exhaust,spring and retainer, RBC manifold,1000 injectors sorry no habla mucho inglés
I'm ahead of the game with a stock K20Z3 106k mile just collecting dust in garage corner.. As for price those engines in KY are 2000 dollars..
K-series can also do awd and rwd setup with kits.
07 Honda Element SC , chase car I have Needs improvements.
1. Has let automatic as not all ppl on my camera crew can’t drive manual
2. Want keep it 466 tops but with 2 tunes on VVT Ecoo. Ish then work mood but only keep on Pump gas
Thanks bro... Do a video with the best motor to go all out to do 7sec pass fwd/awd
NEXT LEVEL S**T BEEN READY FOR HONDAS TO DOMINATE THE STREET N STRIP HERE WE GO.........Much Love Too All
Thank you brother you are truly appreciated for the knowledge
I'm actually in the process of building my first k24 (tsx A2 head with accord A4 block) but wanna build a daily reliable engine putting out 500hp that won't spark up any issues for a LONG time. Should I still build the block as extra insurance? Or am I being too worrisome?
PUH REACH it!
I got an K24 A3, what about this motor ?
I have a 2018 Accord 2.0T with the 10 speed auto and wanting to mod it. I’m looking for reliability… but have fun! 😊 This video gives me hope! Can I call and get some ideas?
B series prices are already through the roof in the UK and all the engines and gearboxes are worn out. I'm yet to know someone with a B series who has reliably run even 300+bhp
man i was thinking you was talking kind of slow but it was still cool man good job
i spent alot of money to build my B18C5 only to get 192 whp .. on mustang dyno
You forget to mention the cost of the gears for the K.
K will always cost more in the long run unless you like blowing motors.
Stock K trans is good to 700. Same for B. B series dogbox costs $6500+, K series dogbox costs $4800.
Well sad brother. Unfortunately I wanna B serious built. But the next belt for my civic will be K serious. Thanks for this video. I really appreciate it..
yes Yes YEEeEEEssssss!!!!! Best engine hands down in the world man. As he said BEST ENGINE HONDA EVER MADE! My god so happy I'm honda man!
Very Well Said. Great analogies. Made a lot of sense once you explained the Big picture. Thank You
This is very informational. Great job. Maybe make the same type for B, H etc
We are makin more than 500hp just on a stock b16a motor on a stock ek chassis and nocking on the doors of the 9sec zone pass after pass with no issues 😐
I just want to do a simple 400hp K24 build for both daily driving and weekend rallycross any suggestions on performance parts to get.
Keep these kind of videos coming really appreciate the information
Hey, love the video but I have a question. Is a stock K24A4 worth the trouble if you just aiming for 300+ whp? I've seen a few guys "supposedly" just put a turbo on it and they hit a little above 350hp. Thanks in advance.
What about the hmo motors k24a for turbo build ?
I have a question: K24a2 block with k20a2 head has same 10.5:1 compression like stock k24a2 longblock?
I want to know too
I would but there ain't no manual transmissions near me that dont cost more than the motor.
I like the technical content. Looking forward to similar vids in the future!
I love these videos cant wait to finish my k20/k24kseries supercharged build in my si
What supercharger set up are you going with?
I’m thinking of doing a k24/k20 kraftwerks for my ej2 coupe
Great content I'm new to ur Chanel. Learned good amount here. 👌
Awesome video. Lots of info and well spoken.
Great info!!!!
Thank you for sharing, I’m new to your channel plus I’m starting a new build and you are very helpful!!!
💪🏼👊🏼👊🏼👍🏻
I actually enjoyed the explanation
I’ve got a EG hatch with a B18C5 already swapped into it. I want to build the car to turbo to make 350-400 hp, completely street and grand touring car, no racing. For this application, which will require a significant investment in the engine, would I be better off just selling my B18 and buying a K-series instead?
I've been through so many B Series just from learning ground up his right they cost the same. I'm currently debating on going K20A2
Hi, am between k20 and k24. Not sure which one to go with. Am leaning towards building a reliable N/A setup for now with an AWD swap
@@mvc2177 Go with K24 bro remember patience is key
@@tegnando2697 I will be having a shop build it for me as I have no time with newborn
@@mvc2177 Awesome and congratulations on your new born
What Clutch will be best for a daily 550hp boosted K24?
How can you tell apart the k24 block from a2,a3,a4 ??
What type of compression ratio would you recommend for a built k20z3 with a gt3582 turbo, shooting for 550-600 range. I’ve read 11:1 is ok but I’m not confident in the sources.
K20a2block with k24 heat! working on top?
