I am still using a Whisper 3 (60) from 2001. It still runs silent and works perfect. I am using the original impeller and motor. I don't know about the new Whisper filters but mine just runs and runs and runs. I always said I would try the Marineland 350 when mine quits working but it just never dies. As long as you maintain the motor and impeller it just works.

If your running 2 filters only replace one at then wait a couple days then replace the other if you do it will throw your balance off if your running four replace two then wait a couple days then replace the other two and never change filters and do a water change at the same time this will save your fish and some headaches and avoid financial loses
Fill the tank high enough so that the edges of the outflow ramps are under the surface. You want the outflow to cause a current that runs towards the front glass. THIS gives you the Best Oxygenation of the water.
I have this for my 55 and the wheels don't even spin.. the whole thing doesnt even work. Its a piece of crap in my opinion lol. I plan to buy a different filter tomorrow.
my 350 is super loud and the wheels do not turn. it for sure does not siphon enough water like yours to turn the wheels, so what should i do to make it work? thanks in advance!
Rob Here trev2323 trev2323 mine is brand new but nothing I do will make the rollers rotate. the amount of water above the impeller is quite shallow too so probably it's the impeller's fault? Do you think it's worth it to keep and replace just the impeller or just return it for something else?

I completely modded my 400. used cartridges to house ceramic, filled back of filler with sponges, the intake I removed the head and put a round sponge filter. seems to work fine after a week
I currently have 2 rbp in a 75 I run this filter and a 20 gallon aqua tech along with 30-40 percent water changes weekly works good but a single 350 isn't enough I'd use a canister or aT least 2 of these

You don’t use hot water or cold water use the aquarium water to save the good bacteria in the filters

I agree with you I've never had a problem with noise my air pump makes all the noise I actually have 2 marinelander 350s on my 65 gallon tank.

I have this filter my intake line goes to the bottom . my canister goes half way. Should i take the center piece out or leave it touch the bottom

Get a canister filter!!!!!! Don’t use an under gravel filter!!

My wheels spin like crazy and I have 3 cartridges on each side and poly fill
