Hey, just made an order from u guys. Going to Myrtle beach. Wonder why ur moving? Anyway, don’t see any more of these on your site. Also was wondering if you guys sell the iceman ddr5 ram heatsinks and/or what u think of them. Thanks
This tool works really well but has a fatal flaw. It removed the SMD cap and resistors at the bottom of the CPU. The cutout to clear these components is not long enough. At full extension, there is a 23mm gap between the start of the tool and the end of the cutout. The gap from the start of the tool to the end of the SMD components is identical. The cutout is too short by the width of the SMD components.
i have a question, ive ordered the same direct die plate, is lowering the actual screws enough for a air cooler or do i need to customize my air cooler for the height of the capacitors?
@@TOPVIRAL-m3r interesting. I'm about to get the Delidded die guard and use EK water block on it. I'm afraid the capacitors might be too tall as compared to the die.
You definitely need the protective shroud device between the delidded CPU and the "cooling source" (which includes air towers as well). The contact frame prevents the external cooling device from being able to chip or crack the silicon die.
Can confirm that the top bracket doesn't fit IHS. Tested on 13600k of chinese X batch. The widht and height of the top cover/bracket are 0,2m more than IHS H and W, but the radius of the corners seems to be larger than corner radius of IHS, thus allowing only 2 corners to fin into top bracket. And yes, cpu was placed correct way, arrow towards arrow. So it wasn't possible to get the even/flat top bracket as mentioned at 1m27s. Tried with aligned edge from the screw side, ended up removing IHS but together with the one brown cap closest to the screw since it seemed to be slightly higher that the 3 resistors. Not gonna try this kit on any other CPU - and can not recommend it.
@@best-player-in-the-world Around 3% faster? STOCK 7950X3D has 38500 (stock 14900ks has around 39000 but OK I will compare it to 40000) Now compare the prices 560 usd for ryzen and 690 for intel (in my country) - 19% cheaper
Thanks for answering everyone questions 😉
did anyone noticed that the pcb of the cpu is slightly bend?
please compare the performance of this direct die cooler to competing waterblocks. i’m very interested

Can i use normal AIO or custom block with with this method
no need for heat gun/hairdryer?
If you use a delid die guard, can you any other cooler or aio to cool it?
where can i order it in EU ?

I think you put the cpu in the wrong way.
Where can I buy that sharp acrylic scraping tool?
Just use angle grinder at slow speeds.

Hi did you manage to find out about this?
Not yet i ordered a direct die to test it out myself @@newbnest

Just buy AMD
why do you even need the 14900k xd
anyway good job with that CPU, Like.

Because its faster. Takes threadripper to beat it. 😉
