Awesome job💯💯💯👍
Thank you for producing these videos! Your videos are tremendous inspiration to visit places outside of all the big cities and usual tourist destinations. I really enjoy following your adventures in such a beautiful country.
Thank you Richard 🙏
@@NowinLao I will be honest with you I have been in Lao 3 times with my girlfriend at the time with her sisters to visit their family and each time was a awesome trip. The first time was over 10 years ago and we have gone back each time each time about 5 years apart. It is amazing to see the difference over that time! I remember the time with the artillery was placed along the runway at the airport and only two flights were scheduled for the week in and out of Laos. You have shed light currently to all the changes going on over there. I almost treat your videos as a documentary of change. I'm not sure I like all the changes similar to the west as it detracts from the beauty of the natural environment that I remember. I know the younger people want more of the things similar to the western world and want to prosper but I hope they do not lose the culture that makes Lao special while keeping the natural beauty. I'm not a fan of all the high rises buildings and the modern stores and malls.
Thank you so much. I enjoyed watching the raw footages. Brings back so many memories of my travel to Laos in 2013.
Thanks Liz
Another great day, thanks for taking me along! Prayers for NeeNee's mum. :)
Enjoy watching your vids and the music so so good!
You roll into Town like two Movie Stars...lol
Yes I agree
Ty Todd for showing my honeland that I’ve never seen before or went there .
I missed my home town can’t wait till this travel restrictions over cuz pandemic
You should buy a house like Todd. When you retired, you can live in Laos forever. Grow your own mango, banana, and raise chickens.
@@LaoSoftware planning on it I got another 10yrs in California and after that I will .
My dad still have 16 acres with families
love your videos! it’s really helpful during this pandemic when we are in lockdown mode in the USA

Thanks for the content. I was born in a Refugee camp near there somewhere. Such a different world that my mom is from.
Moo Par (wild boar) can't beat it.
Emma and I think it's beautiful up there in the mountains - watching it together. Great video
Hey Em' 👋
so quiet mate wonderfull
Just letting you know mate, the last restrictions in NSW have been lifted , The only thing that's in place is 2 weeks quarantine, it hasn't been that bad here compared to other states or countries, stay safe,
Thats good mate 👍 I'll be staying put while ever there is quarantine. Not wasting money on that... plus, there's no flights from here anyways lol 😝
4:20 window sill variety mini garden clusterbomm,,,

Hello my friend. Great to meet you. Will be a few weeks before I get the chance to edit Don Khone..

Sabai Dee/Hello! Thank you so much for sharing your traveling experience in Lao. USA residence, but hometown (Barn Hom, Lao) and about 20 minutes drive time to Vientiane. At least that's what my sister told me. Planning to visit once CO-19 has calm down. Your Vlogs has brought me so many fond memories growing up in Lao. So thank you for sharing! Sok dee der!
My pleasure 🙏

Thanks Thomas, appreciate the support mate 👍
Will do! As soon as anything changes i'll be sure to let you all know.

looks like it wouldbe pretty easy to build one of thought houses. Just make sure you have a very good roof. Not much insulation on them, or siding. I wonder if they have electricity inside?
Denny Zeecko yeah, those house pretty much like chicken coops especially the one in the country side and not everyone can afford electricity even though Laos is known for "Battery of Asia" with dozens of dams and selling energy to the neighboring countries.
I was born in Xieng Khouang during the late 70s. We came to America when I was around 5 years old. It's great to see my home country and the beauty of the people and the areas there. Thanks for showing Laos to us all especially the Hmong people there. The villages, the rivers, the mountains, everything...simply amazing! Good job on your videos!
Thank you MRV. Really happy people like yourself are enjoying these videos. Thank you. Plenty more to come 🙏
It appears to me that Laos is much more advanced than the Philippines in my opinion from your videos and a lot cheaper
Some one paved the road & it looks like a new bridge over the river. It is one of the better looking villages, Todd. What gives?
Also why the new road & bridge? Loved it. Thanks much.
Weaving machines are called looms.
weaving machine : Loom
Dear Now in Lao, I would appreciate it if you could make a video of Lao New Year because my grandma is from laos and I want to go to her house on Lao New Year and celebrate with her and learn the traditions.
Like last year, im not sure Lao New year will be celebrated this year because of covid. If not, here are a couple of previous new year videos..

So, over 20 years ago, I used to live in the village of Khang Khai about 7km outside of Phonsavanh. At that time there was no mains electricity at all, just the town generators in Phonsavanh which only provided electricity for a few hours at night. Phonsavanh felt like a Wild West outpost. 😆 I was so hoping you were going to look around the town and area. Ah well......just unlucky that you had to hurry home. Hope Neenee’s mum was ok.
I do have one more video to edit from Phonsavan, but not the look around we were hoping for. There'll be another time..
@@NowinLao I should probably go back myself, but I am always reluctant to revisit places where I once lived. I feel like seeing it now would make me feel like a stranger, and somehow ‘taint’ the memories I have of there. I will just have to wait for a future trip of yours.....🤗
good video, any problems getting fuel for the truck when travelling? cheers.
No. Even some of the smaller villages hand pump fuel from 44 gallon drums 👌😁
Scares me a little bit with children in the road.
hales bells
Loom is the word you're looking for, weaving machine. Lol great little village. The barbequed forest pig made me hungry. I've shot several wild pigs. Most western states will happily let you kill them with no license. They tear the hell out of vegetation,,including rare and special plants. Be safe Todd,,Ttyl,,,Marlon

Hey Todd, have you guys done a video on Boten, Laos? Just curious to see what it's like near the China border.
Not Boten, no.
You remember me about Pulp fiction:"Porc meat tastes good..."
😝 👍
Bacons gooood
@@NowinLao yeah,honeybunny and Pumpkin
😂I love bacon too...
ooft, the unfortunately named Craters. Any idea what that big building wrapped in green was on the left when you made it to the guest house?
No idea sorry Allan
What? how dare you not anticipate my question about some random building six months or so (based on that rain) before I ask it!! 🤣🤣🤣
I will ask next time 😝👍
soke dee for mae khong nene
The roads must be dark at night since there’s no streetlights ?
Ha Ha you drive and she eats
Were the pigs wild , or just extremely angry ?
G'day mate, who is that intrepid reporter i spy in the background?
Sabai Dee! Question just popped in my head. When you eat out, are there any tipping rules to the waiter/waitress or is it up to the patrons? I am sure there are no expectations of service tips. I noticed it is never mentioned. Thus, just out of curiosity. Thank you in advance! Sok dee der and be well.
Hey Gail.. im pretty sure you'll find there are only tipping rules in the US.. it's up to the patrons generosity anywhere else. Tipping is certainly not expected tho 👌
@@NowinLao Ah I thought so, thank you!
Hej Todd,
May I give you some advice for your Madame Neenee ' sukkhapap taken from my working doc. experience in Lao ?
1-check kidneys.
2-check thyroid
As lao people suffer from too "som" diet
and too concentrated blood ,daily basic diet must be as following:
1-Nakmaknao,with LITTLE cansugar daily.
2-Kin ordinary namsa , kin nam deuan,bo ao "canjuices", bo Pepsi,bo kin Coke
3-Kin Bia Lao neung ,bang teua
4-Bo kin petlay, bo kin "som" lay.
Doc Ayang
Khoi kian pit. "Nam deum".
Thanks Jean, will look into that 👍
My hearing ain't so good....did you say that you 2 have been farting, so you u got separate beds?..😆😆😆😆😆👌....(crazy roads up there!)
Same same 😝
At least think about it, anyway.
I'm willing to bet I am not the 1st to ask this...but why do they build their homes on pillars?
I've seen the space underneath their homes used for many things. Keep their livestock out of the weather. Park their tractor and farm equipment. For weaving on looms. An all round shady outdoor living space 👌
Weaving machine = Loom?
So I have learnt... yes 👍
@@NowinLao That is the beauty of youtube........Information:):):)
Aussie dollar up one aussie gets 7200 kip per au dollar
That's good. It was about 6200 this time last year
Don't you have to pay around $200 each day to stay in Laos? Or do you have a special situation?
I have no idea what you're talking about... $200 for what?
Getting ready to insist that NeeNee drop about 15 lbs.
