Thanks for taking us along in your Epic. Not a lot of in cockpit Epic videos to be found on UA-cam. Hopefully there's more to come. I like flying the Epic E1000G in the virtual world in X-Plane 12 and it is very cool to understand how it is flown in reality.
@navsnipe Thanks for watching! Make sure to subscribe so you don't miss the next one! Hopefully, here soon I'll have more to upload. Sure is a fun plane to fly, climbs like a rocket!
@agp7073 thanks for watching and commenting! Certainly a fun plane to fly! The climb-out is almost more extreme than the Citation I fly. Pretty fun, no doubt!
Liked your opening shot of the flatirons. I used to live in Boulder and learned to fly at Jeffco (now Rocky Mountain). Nowadays I'm up north in Ram country. Keep the vids coming.
@dmzamzow that's awesome! I figured anyone local would appreciate a shot of the flatirons. Back when Jeffco got renamed to Metro, we used to call up the tower frequency and say "Jeffco Tower" and oftentimes they really came unglued about the fact we weren't using the new proper phraseology, "Metro Tower". 🤣 Thanks for watching and commenting! Safe flying up there!
Very nice video. One thing I noticed is that when you performed a warm start, you only waited until ITTs came down to 150degC before adding fuel. You should have waited longer until temp dropped to 130degC (consult the Epic POH/AFM). FYI, I own and fly a 2022 E1000 GX.
Hey @uberanalyst , thanks for watching! In factory training, it was taught to 150°. I am aware of the 130° temp, however, to get it to 130 would have exceeded the starter limitation. It temp'd out at 789 on that start, so well below the temp limits for startup. Happy Flying! Epic is sure a fun one!
The Epics are built across the runway from my school. Even got a factory tour a couple weeks ago. I would love to fly one or even ride along someday. Let me know if you need a SIC 😂
@@morrisbryan8534 Isn't the Eclipse 2 inches wider and a nudge faster at 50gph? :) and at full throttle the Eclipse sounds like it's a fair bit faster and lower fuel burn. The Epic does a valiant attempt with good aero shape and carbon fiber construction but for some reason it's 2ton empty. when twin jet is comparable or superior fuel economy then turboprop should simply not exist. It's ugly, it's loud, no redundancy over ocean.
@kylemccartney1831 lol! I forgot the XM in the Garmin will continue to play on the next start-up if not shut off prior to shutdown. Then, while taxxing, I remembered youtube will flag the audio if played too long, so I had to clip out some of the video because of that. Whoops. Thanks for watching! 😀
It would be nice if you could compare it to TBM 960 based on performance, safety features, reliability other technical aspects as well and last but not least- which one is more FUN to fly around. Others say that the TBM 960 is unbeatable when it comes to reliability & safety. Appreciate it if you could comment based on what you know. Beautiful bird. And APA is where I learned to fly. 🎉

Thank you for sharing your flight.
Amazing performance but the best thing is how pilot-friendly the E1000 GX is to fly. Speed machine. Love it!
Thanks for watching, @gatestpilotpaulmsouthwick7012! it's a rocketship, that's for sure!
Nice video Cory, the Epic is as beautiful as she is fast!! Thanks for including the startup and shutdown.

I used to fly the twin otter that used to be based outta WB2, cool to see what’s in that hangar now. I fly an encore out of APA now, see you around!
Amazing aircraft.
Just as fun to fly!
Thanks for speaking what you were thinking during the video. Short and sweet👍great job.
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching!
My dream airplane. Sigh. Still no FADEC, but since I’ll never be able to afford one, who cares? The Epic is one slick, beautiful aircraft.
Nice flight great aircraft
Thanks!
Great video! Question; 6'3 300 lb gym rat here (not a tub of goo) how would I fit in the cockpit?
"Tub of goo" 😂 that's funny. I'd say try to find them somewhere on tour and sit in it! ✈️
@@CoryCalvin Got it
How do you like the plane one of the absolute best in my opinion

@corey97140 Busy airport there! The tour of the factory is a really neat treat, glad you got to see it! Which rating are you working on?
@@CoryCalvin its SO busy. 50% of training is flying, 50% just dealing with traffic. Currently halfway through instrument. Long road ahead!
Is it loud inside? given that the Eclipse is cheaper, faster, wider, double engine, quiet and burns less fuel, would it be a better choice?
not wider cabin or less fuel. Get your facts straight!
