That was literally the blackest win I’ve ever seen.
Omg, you can't say stuff like that! 😳
I love these Big Black Cards that they’re using 😂😊
geeeesh that cal guy is pretty good
I hear he is a bit of a Nintendo SIMP
love the nail polish!
@@caw555 Thank you!
He won in a pretty cool way in that second game.
@@raser4329 he could've won over top of the deadly rollick. my best friend made this list and i play it regularly ;)
Alex found a razorblade in his Halloween candy is my favorite so far. Love these openings, and that was a cool game.
I know Ryan's Kaalia is a standard Breach wincon, but using Children of Korlis to refill life points and Doom Whisperer to fill the yard is definitely something I haven't seen. Great work!
3 of the main demons use life loss so it makes sense to play it as well was ad Maus and peer
Take your son to work day
This channel has single-handedly convinced me to build Yawgmoth, Ao, and Raggadragga. Good games 🙏
Ellipsis here, thanks for using my list for yawgmoth. Cal piloted it well ❤️
I use your deck as well!!
Ryan's Kaalia is great and all, but not being a combo guy myself, a lot of enjoyment egulfs me when seeing Pyro's CEDH Kaalia unfold. So bring more of Pyro please!!!
That poor editor, being forced to edit Cal's life up and down over and over again... 😅
It wasn’t fun…
legendary
As a guy who owns over 100 copies of Treacherous Pit Dweller, I uttered an audible HELL YES when I saw Cal's second opening hand.
The massive stack full of triggers at the end was the most spooky thing about this video 👻
I'm a simple man. I see Yawgmoth I click.
I feel like Cal saw someone shitpost on Twitter about a 5-6 card combo and then said "wait...hold on...hold my beer."
It CAN be so much more streamlined but the specific mix of cards he ended up with were rough!
This is by far, my favorite episode. Happy Halloween to all the team 🎃
Love kaalia done right. Bad kaalia is my fave deck. Just uploaded a video of it. Great match here. Yawg was pretty sweet
Cal's combo in game 2 is so damn cool. Wild how much that took to set up!
Yo how was writing the script for the 2nd game. That must have been brutal!
It was… quite a journey.
Sweet games! That was nice to see, since I've been thinking about building a Yawgmoth or K'rrik deck.
Hey guys! I was wondering if guys ever thought of making a Power 9 of cEDH video. I think it would be really cool to get your perspective on cards you think are busted in this already busted format. Along with what cards you would omit from the cEDH list that others have put on a standard EDH list (like Cyclonic Rift or Gaea’s Cradle)
Cool idea!
This episode was really scary 😨
GAAAAH!
(Can we get a Lonis, Cryptolozoologist deck on here???)
Cal could have won with the deadly rollick on the stack. Didn't matter too much, but opened up interaction if LED was countered
God bless ryan to record Yawgmoth combo in voice
As someone that plays Ayara casually, that Yawgmoth with was sexy.
LETSSS GOOOO yawgdaddy for the win
Yawgmoth is my main deck love the combos so happy to see him shine ggs
Yawg combo is my jam in Modern. Love seeing it at a cedh table
Did you know that deathgreeter in italian is translated as necrophile
these games were so non-interactive it blows my mind. It was 4 players goldfishing aside from the Oppo play (which could have just been a tutor for ad naus really)
The K’rrik player did not make a single game action and the nekusar deck shit itself trying to combo…
A damn razor blade! I was not prepared! Alex wasnt eithert XDDDD
K'riik, Son of Yawgmoth? Never heard of it, all I know is Post, Son of Rick.
I had a Yawgmoth deck for a while and this made me miss it and not. The lines were a bit convoluted at times.
If your Kaalia deck wins off combat from something that isn’t a dragon demon or angel it wasn’t a Kaalia deck
Cal had the win with the Undying creature and the desecrated tomb on the field.
two mono black deck?! i'm in heaven !
That Yawgmoth was wild so many pieces
Good ol Yawgmoth, always cool to see go brr
This years is nice but that 2020 Spider Dragon has my heart. Such a good boi raisin zombies and ghosties
I was already thinking on building a Yawgmoth deck over K'rrick, now I'm convinced
Is the Halloween playmat link busted for anyone else? I can't seem to find the playmat
OH NO! Looks like they sold out :(
I feel like I missed something when Ryan escaped children of korlis. Where did he get the white mana
Floating from Lion's Eye Diamond
These decks were all dope.
I'd love to see some commanders that aren't being played anymore upgraded to be as competitive as possible in today's meta in the future. (It's been a while since I've seen most of the commanders in this vid)
What underground sea is that?
2022 Halloween sleeves already sold out in standard size, it seems 😥
I have a question for the first game.
We had an dualcaster mage loop in our casual playgroup some time ago. Different cards, loop was unintended. But how can you just stop the loop, dualcasters etb must target the remaining twin flame right? So Ryan needs to play an additional instant from the graveyard to stop the loop?
Have the copy of twinflame target the original creature instead of dualcaster.
I have no idea what happened
Great games!
Im sorry but Cedh seems SOO boring. How does this game seem fun? One trick pony decks with cheese.
You're allowed to have that opinion. CEDH isn't for everyone. I'd suggest giving it a shot if you're up for it. I (Ryan) used to feel the exact same way. Once I tried it, I realized I was definitely wrong. Here's hoping your journey leads you to this conclusion or whatever brings you happiness in life!
Is someone just mad they can't keep up with triggers? Or is it because they can't afford the cards?
@@brettrohrer5714 I think some people just don't like games this fast in commander.
Sweet convoluted win by Cal. I love Yawgmoth’s ability and it was fun to see it go off. It’s a fun mechanic that isn’t super busted and needs the right setup to go off but when it does it is super fun to see. Great episode guys!
Any chance on there being another budget edh video? It's how I found this channel and got me into edh.
We can definitely look into it!
One of these playmats is not like the other.
The K’rrik gameplay was hard to watch not going to lie.
Best colour is no colour (Black)
Drake should have cast the frantic search from the hornfell exile pile to dig a bit deeper before continuing to exile more cards from hand. Not sure it would have made a difference but he did give up two cards deeper into his deck.
All it does is feed the Dauthi more options though
@@shadowhunter1451 while true he gets to choose what to discard before the dauthi gets to trigger.
You need blue mana for that one unfortunately :/
Originally I wasn't planning on pitching Notion Thief to Harnfell cause I wanted to cast it if I bricked on a wheel in all those cards but yawgmoth always shuts that down so maybe I should have pitched it to chrome mox immidiately? I didnt know I was going to hit Frantic Search until I only had 1 card in hand though so there really isnt a great way to do it.
@@DrakeSasser true. Not great options but once you went so deep going for the land untap for mana fixing was all I could see as an out or hold onto cards in hand with harnfell for control. But ya. Tough game. Good plays
I AM VIEWER 69!
nice
nice
Nice
I knew you could do it!
I could not have achieved this without the support of everyone
The idea of a Kaalia deck that can only cheat out four creatures in the deck amuses me... granted, said four creatures are all tutor/draw engines, but it makes me wonder if there aren't better Mardu commanders for what the deck is trying to do (which is clearly to assemble a combo). 🤔
