Fantastic game! Really great to see a lot of new variance and unexpected plays. Great job editing and making the game easier to follow. Really love it when you get different decks and builds into a game to spice it up.
With Rhystic and Mystic drawing piles upon piles of cards, and dockside adding jet fuel to the card piles, the power level in the format right now is absolutely nutty Also, gotta love how dockside is so good people started running phantasmal image so they can have a second fucking dockside
If mike wouldve searched an underworld breach instead of reanimate, he prob couldve attempted a win on turn 3. Breach, escape dockside, escape diabolic intent, search for ad naus. Gg if no counterspells
Not really, if anything it shows the opposite, since a deck only has to cast it and protect it to win without any further action (and casting and protecting it is something you would have to do for a card anyway), so you can devote the deck entirely to it, and it doesn't have to work with your commander in any way.

Having recently started to use a Kess deck(pact+oracle win-con) in my playgroup- this channel is insanely fun to watch. And my playgroup absolutely HATES playing against me. It’s so fun. Thank you for the ideas!
Right. +50. I add in infinite mana and outlet in command zone, heartless hidgetsu and double of damage, indestructible creature and world slayer, etc. The reality is that there is close to one hundred unique legendaries that have one card in the deck that it combos. There is overlap like Kiki jiki, or infinite mana, or food chain, etc. But, you are easily talking about +50 cards that need to be banned.

I feel like it says something about Thassa's Oracle that a player couldn't find an answer in 31 cards between 14 cards discarded, 14 drawn, and 3 Brainstormed.
I think it's due to the wording on Agent - "you control your opponents while they're searching their libraries". Grasp searches another player's library, not your own, so isn't affected by Agent.
Mind me asking, but Veil of Summer was cast in that weird final turn was it not? "Spells cannot be countered, and of your permeants gains hex proof." What was Tyler trying to find? Only thing that could have stopped that turn ending the match was forcing him to draw one card.

Opposition Agent only works when the opponents search their own libraries. If they search any library other than their own, Opposition Agent has no effect.
Just curious, why was the Narrator only mentioning when Mike took damage from Nekusar. Were the other players not drawing cards off their Rhystic/Mystic? And a few times narrator missed announcing when Mystic should have triggered earlier in the game
I never play a game with storm mechanic, is it kept track of every turn by all the players so if someone does happen to cast a card with storm on any turn you know what it is, or how is it kept track of ?
Storm counts every spell cast during the entire turn. If on my upkeep I cast 2 spells and then pass the turn, if you were to cast a storm spell on my end step it would have a storm count of 2.
@@JLH111176 If you have a storm card you have to keep track, some turns it won’t matter. Also if you have a question on the storm count, you could always ask the table what spells were cast this turn

I'm a little confused. With necropotence on the board doesn't any card going go the grave get exiled so he cant keep looping LED with breech? Or am I missing something?
im not sure about this but it kinda looks like tyler gave away the win....why when someone is going infinite not just burn kill with necro before he casts the veil....he burnt mike for like 5 or 6 which didnt make sense when he had a way to discard and redraw and get close to tapping him
I also assumed that the few copies of mikokoro I saw in cedh were to make the opponent loose before the TO trigger resolves. Anyway, what's sad is that regardless of how tired of this wincon we are, it's still more effective to run the bundle of very good all purpose counters and still focus on rushing towards your own win. Although I think I've seen a few Tale's End as a flex slot lol
@@gael_le_cruel I believe the best answer is Nimble Obstructionist because is a cycle ability which is pretty hard to interact with. Tales end is not a bad idea.
Most decks on the cedh level do not have the open slot for that effect. 5 years ago, yeah you could make an argument for that. Today’s deck building usually has 90+ cards that are guaranteed to be proactive in advancing towards a win. You are proposing to play a reactive card that might not happen. All the decks played today were proactive. Ad nauseam, food chain, Doomsday, commander synergy. None of these decks want to just sit there and wait for thassa’s oracle to happen and then say “GOTCHA HAHA”. They all want to play interaction spells that can stop a combo AND protect their combo. You might have an argument for mono blue, but not one of these decks played today should even consider stifle.

Because praetors grasp gets around opposition agent and allows you to get a card. Same with bribery and aquire.

There were no misplays with oppo agent and praetor’s grasp. This interaction is a reason that praetor’s grasp is popular.

Whoever is casting the storm card is responsible for knowing the storm count. It is their trigger, so they need to keep an accurate count.

No, only discarded cards are exiled by Necropotence. Everything else goes to the graveyard as normal.

Opposition Agent prevents you from searching your own library. Because Praetor's Grasp searches an opponent's library, the agent does not effect this.
