Yes I've just seen it! Incredible.
Oswin Pond Well done!!!

R.I.P John Hurt
Not the Doctor we wanted but the Doctor we needed❤
John Hurt was the actor Form Mister Ollivander Form Harry Potter😭😭😭
Sorry , I know my english is not not the best of the world ,Im Form Germany.
@@magical_who5636 Oh, hi. I'm from Austria.
I'm sure he wasn't unheard of in speculation
"No sir, all thirteen!" That has to be one of the greatest moments in the history of television. Fucking genius.
+Thomas Delaney I know!!!! ANGRY EYEBROWS!!!!! :D
There was an audible noise of delight at that point when I saw it in the cinema. The sight of those eyes for a couple of seconds was almost as big as the Tom Baker moment.
andylornastuff Hey, did you see it at a cinema in America? Or did I just miss it? I live in Scotland, and I've never heard of Doctor Who in a cinema before
@duckseverywhere, The anniversary special was shown in cinemas at the same time it was broadcast. We got it in 3D too! This was in England, so not sure if it was available all over the UK but I thought it was.
Also Scottish. I went down to London to see it live in cinema. Also they showed Deep Breath in Cinema too
Farewell John. Rest in peace. I wish we could have seen another appearance from you on Who but alas. However, for this movie, for that moment, you were the Doctor. And you know what? You were bloody brilliant.
Big Finish my dude, the War Doctor has some more appearances
No. He was *fantastic.*
Absolutely fantastic, and you know what, so were all of the doctors
That he was: bloody brilliant!
"The calculations along would take hundreds of years!"
"Oh yes, but don't worry, I started a very long time ago...."
"calling the war council of Gallifrey...this is the Doctor."
Liam Davey "also the doctor speaking"
I’m sorry I’m thinking 💭 out loud
'Also the doctor standing ready'
11th: GERONIMO!!! 10th: Alos-y! War Doctor: oH FoR GoDs SaKe!
This was one of the last times Doctor Who truly had me in awe. I miss those days.
Give series 10 a chance… 12 is written really well in his era but I get it takes some warming up 🙏
"Great men are forged in fire. It is the privilege of lesser men to light the flame."
"no matter the cost"
"Make it all worth while."
John Hurts 😢
RIP John Hurt
@doctorwho0077 Everyone who makes it through the holiness test at the _real_ End of Time (a.k.a. the Great White Throne Judgement) will have his or her story told rightly. I can't wait...! :-)
For one brief and shining moment, I was the Doctor once again....
spoken like the aged warrior he is
"no sir! all thirteen!" -best quote ever
Oh yes !! With "I will always remember when The Doctor was me" !
prob the best moment of doctor who to date. Its like all 50 years of Doctor who built up to that epic 7 seconds of time, and it payed off big.
No no, it has to be "ive got kidneys! I dont like the colour..."
Peter Capaldi - The Time of the Doctor
Yeah, about that, yes, I do not deny the epicness of this quote, but something is bugging me. Shouldn't the thirteenth Doctor here have been the first Tenth? As the Tenth Doctor regenerated twice. The Twelfth Doctor is from the new cycle of regenerations given to the Doctor by the Timelords on Trenzalore. Eleventh is the thirteenth life of the Doctor.
@@seizuresalad1558 You're right 🤣
Music like this reminds me why I watch Doctor Who. No other TV show will ever come close to have a legacy as long and beautiful as Doctor Who.
It broke my heart when I first heard the Doctor was the last of the Time Lords, but we see the irony that he could be the greatest of them all. Behold this vision: the Doctor, through much toil, hardship, sacrifice, struggling and suffering, finally manages to slip through the time lock he created, beelining straight to Gallifrey, gathering as much of its knowledge, technology, and of course it's people before exiting the Time War and resealing it to prevent it from destroying all existence, giving the Time Lords a fighting chance to survive.
'Gentlemen...I have had 400 years to think about this..I've changed my mind'
4:15 (Takes out Sonic Screwdriver, Deactivates The Moment)
I admit, I was crying...the idea that the Doctor would save his home and his people was just too much for my fan boy brain to handle :3
OK, John, you wanted that big, red button. Here you go. This might just be the best episode of the modern series. "The alternative is burning. I've seen that. And I never want to see it again!"
i do love that it was someone so small and ultimately insignificant as clara who explained to them that they could take a different course. sometimes when you stand at the top of it all you cant see the lay of the land for the clouds.
4:15 Breaking the wall? Your not suppose to exist yet! I love it!
8:48, "I didn't know when I was well off" - I could never understand what he was saying before, but I watched The Three Doctors earlier today, and now I know! :D
Good old Brigadier :)
I bought the day of the doctor online and keep watching the scenes in the barn repeatedly. Often.
Oh yes ! Me too, very good scenes.
May our beloved War Doctor, Sir John Hurt, Rest in peace
Always thought the Shepherd's Boy music sounded familiar
GERONIMO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ALLONS-Y!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh for gods sake!! GALLIFREY STANDS!!!!!!!
Fantastic
4:11 and so the first second of eternity, would have passed.
Wtf how is it the same as the heaven sent music and I’ve never noticed it.
@@Hellohiq10 this plays when they talk about finding gallifrey the long way round. It wont play again until 12 is punching through that wall for a billion years, slowly reaching gallifrey... the long way round
@@emmiannon1266 wow… Murray gold is amazing. Wait wtf he left
I can't stop coming back here. The tracks are so well isolated and merged together. I feel the weight of the moment eveytime i hear it.
Fantastic work Oswin, once again.
Thanks a lot! I'm proud of this video especially since Gold himself liked it haha
@@OswinPond Really? well in hahaha
thats the kinda thing you tell your wains about in the future lol
@@Tohru139 For sure! He also commented on another one and put another one in his favorite! I'm happy he seems to like my content.
the vibe i get from this is:
It's The Right Thing But So Sad, Like The Doctors Eyes, So Young And So Old, Its Happy But Sad.
Never cruel or cowardly
Never give up never give in :'(
When Doctor Who still had great music. Happy days.
I miss Gold so much
Series 12 has great music. While there was a massive problem with too much ambiance in Series 11, and still is kinda a problem in Series 12, Segun is an absolute genius with his music.
If you haven't, please take a listen to a few of these great tracks:
Thirteen
The Spy Master
The Lighthouse
The Ascension Will Begin
Time Lords
CyberMasters
Ascension of the Cybermen End Credits (It finally brought back the "middle eight" section of the theme for the first time since 2013.)
John hurt was a great doctor, I wish we got more of him
Haha. I love how you edited back in the "all 13" part.
4:15 - 6:12 This Time There's Three Of Us (Breaking the Wall in Heaven Sent)
+FoxZero20 Yeah!!!
Oswin Pond
souzana karima
I'm currently writing a book for school and I based an entire scene around this piece of music. (it's not about Doctor who but it is sci fi)
@@pedrothescottishguy Like time travel ?
Billie Piper as Bad Wolf going "no more" was brilliant, very funny!
MICHAEL LOBB It's almost a rewrite of Edgar Allen Poe's "The Raven"
Once upon a midday weary, while I pondered, weak and leery
Over many a battle and tremendous death of the largest war....
Quoth the moment: No More.
+DeltaFoxtrotWhiskey3 "pondered"?
Pond?
What a stupid thing for me to comment...
This Time There's Three of Us reminds me of Heaven Sent and all the feels that go with it
Fahad Ayaz it's the same track just named differently
Murray Gold liked this himself good job! Lucky you! I really love your account keep it up♥
"Timelords of Gallifrey, Daleks of Skaro... all the farther I got before I started crying
I can't believe it has been a year. Time flies by the older you get. Thanks for the beautiful medley once again.
It flies, the faster you run the engine.
All of The Doctors have taught me something important.
The Ninth Doctor: The greatest people to help us show our potential, is the people we love and care for.
The Tenth Doctor: It's alright to be afraid, as long as you don't act 100% cocky, or act afraid all of the time.
The Eleventh Doctor: Sometimes, it's best to look at everything and just say: "Fuck you universe, anything's possible."
Twelfth Doctor: Change can be scary, but no matter what it's a good thing, and we all have our olds traits in us.
War Doctor: "Great men are forged in fire, and it is the honor of lesser men to light the flames."
Maura Classified That's four Doctors out of thirteen, you said all the Doctors taught you something.
Well it is all four of the ones we've seen since the show came back in the 2005, although I see your point.
I love the classics! Tom Baker was my Doctor, his lesson was always have jelly-babies on hand.
Maura Classified ok, that last one is not a good thing.
hopefully I didn't make a mistake but that last comment about being firged in fire is nit a good thing.
I'm not sure what about "Great men are forged in fire" is so off putting to you. It just means that greatness is born in times of conflict; not literally that great men are born in a fire...
I got an ad for Under the Lake just before this. :P
anyone else notice "this time there's 3 of us" has the same motify as "The sheppard's boy" from Hell Bent?
I think they took The Shepherd's Boy from this
Yes and the first music is from The Waters of Mars, when the Doctor explains her fate to Adélaïde
I'm here,where are the others?
I'm impressed as all get-out at how the music is such an amazing contribution to the feel of the show -- this team works like mad with a limited budget to tell an enormous story, so they've used a style of music that literally creates the impression of a vast, inter-galactic backdrop against which these events unfold -- remarkable! And *smart*. My god, they're smart, the whole bunch of them!
Well, that's "SciFi" for you -- shallow, whizz-bang action stories for teen-aged boys. Only somehow it's actually immensely potent story telling for, it turns out, great numbers of people all around the world! Epic? You bet!
You have summed up the importance of music to doctor who perfectly (and most other tv shows /movies. But specifically doctor who).
Teen-aged boys, smh. fAngIrLS lIkE sCiFi ToOOO
@@maxkenny9503 I have to object. I'm definitely a fangirl but I value good story arcs and, believe it or not, 12 (Capaldi) is my favorite Doctor! Being teenage girls doesn't mean we're all shallow.
Do it Doctor
*Do it*
*DO IT*
The first "Shepherd's Boy" motif. Beautiful!
8 years later and this is still a banger, it is so well editied!

Goodbye, Doctor. You were the Doctor we needed, not the one we wanted. RIP John Hurt.
this is fantastic! I can listen to it a thousand times!!
Lovely mix! The transitions are executed so perfectly!
+Thomas Field Composer Thank you very much ! I'm glad you like it.
+Oswin Pond (John Smith) Very welcome :)
Thank you. I didn't know I needed this so much until now.
In the middle, it is a version of the Heaven Sent score. I Love it!
Rest in Peace, John Hurt.
This and The Day of The Doctor makes me want to see a whole season (series) on the Time War, but in the point of view of a squad of solders fighting in various battles and ending at the Fall of Archadia.
I didn't know this is where Breaking The Wall originated from! Really cool! Love DW soundtracks so much!
2: Good luck
3: Stand by
1: Ready
4: Commencing calculations
5: Soon be there
7: Cross the boundaries that divide one universe from another
6: Just got to lock onto his coordinates
9: And for my next trick
personally my favorite part of this episode was "i change my mind" just that quote, i changed so much, set in motion such great things, just that one choice the Doctor finally made after 400 years. he finally had the change to rewrite the past, erase his greatest mistake. i dont know, but that one simple phrase sent chills down my spine.
i change my mind. Gallifrey stands!
8:55 Twelve intensifies... ;-)
We will always miss that last soundtrack
XxLanetheLimonGTxX 32 h
Well done im nearly crying i love this so much
This Time There Is There Of Us sounds exactly like Suicide Mission from the Mass Effect 2 OST
I am the Doctor
The Day of the Doctor holds a special place in my heart with music that always draws me into the Who universe!
@Ilyootha Thanks !
Ah yes, it because I found it wasn't epic enough so I skipped the "Calm" part ^^
2020:Gallifrey falls again
Shhhhhhh
This song really hits me, exspecially when it came out with the 50th, it not just showed how terrible the war was and the pain the time lords suffered, but how much pain it has caused the Doctor since he destroyed it. How much he wanted to be forgiven
Great work man, keep it up! I love your channel.
Thank you very much !
Such Majestic eyebrow
Great job! Goosebumps all over my body :)
"There's nothing I can do there never was." 1:40
Rip Mr Hurt.May people remember you
The TARDIS fleet defending Gallifrey and giving them the chance to escape.
That was great and enjoyed watching.
“We’ve got enough warriors, any old idiot can be a hero”
“And what do I do?”
What you’ve always done-be a Doctor” or something along those lines
Victor Peterson “hold on, you’re not actually suggesting that we change our own personal history?”
Geronimo!!!
AMAZING! Great work Oswin Pond :)
marizaferrou Thank you !
This is my favorite part of the episode
in this moment, I am the doctor again.
Holy crap this is amazing
I love that episode at the end! It shows all the doctors, even the 12 (Peter)
Why should I protect a broken world... Why not?
One thing that I really would have liked them to show was how did the twelfth doctor manage to get there. Eleven didn't know he was going to regenerate anymore then. How did 12 figure out that he needed to be there to help the other Doctors. And why didn't 11 notice him there then. There could have been atleast one episode during Capaldi's run to address that.
Fantastic
No sir, all THIRTEEN!
8:28-8:48 makes it epic. Well done!
Know that your edits are still appreciated 7+ years post-upload.
4:15 is what most of you are after.
Damn you read my mind
'The Shepard's Boy' existed before 12?!
@@craftman780 Yup
"There's still a Billion Billion Daleks up there."
11: "ah, yes! Of course!"
10: "but there's something those billion billion Daleks don't know."
11: "because if they did, they'd send for reinforcements!"
@Jarno Bus thank you !
the foreshadowing of heaven sent/ shepards boy is crazy
One of the greats.
The last three tracks I most like.
No sir, all thirteen
That music at 1:00 is basically "Altering Lives" from The Waters of Mars
Nop, altering lives is at 3:15
0:58 - 3:15 is "this time there's three of us" which is a remix of altering lives but not the original !
Has anyone noticed the crack in the wall in the background at about 8:06 Dont hate me if it's something that everybody has seen.
On est habitué maintenant, c'est trop beau !
Merci ^^

I think we’ve all had a moment in our lives where we’ve metaphorically stood in front of the big red button, faced with a moment, and a choice that could potentially cause that much destruction, yet end that much suffering…
None of us have the luxury of having our future selves stand alongside us for support, but we all have the capacity to face those moments with the same level of grace, restraint and willingness to self sacrifice as the doctor/s.
And regardless of the choice we make, become better people, carrying the weight, the memory and the loss of those moments with us.
Not that it’s from “day of the doctor” but, without hope, without witness, without reward…
This is the best plot twist ever!!!!!!!!
