  • I test the new Bowtech Core SR. I discuss the feel of the bow, comparing it to the Bowtech SR. We discuss the feel of the bow, and shoot it through a chronograph with a variety of arrows [Gold Tip and Victory]. We mention the bow speed and its impact on hunting, and shoot the bow at 18m to see the groupings of the bow. We discuss the new 'Deadlock' features and discuss if it's worth the trouble for hunting.
    Core SR Bow Specs:
Mass Weight 4.5#, Draw length 25-30" Speed 344 fps, Axle to Axle 33" Brace Height 6"

    “Have you dry fired it?”

I really enjoy your videos and reviews. Great work! Funny thing is, I’m starting to become scared of derails and dry fires because you mention it so often and you have so many customers that do it.

I'm having vehicle issues atm too.
My F150 truck has 48,000 km on it annnnnd it blew the engine. And Ford says " no warranty " because of age, not mileage.
    I hate Ford.
    Good rundown Steven. Thanks!

Winners Choice strings had a lifetime warranty last time I checked. It covered serving failure. Which happened on a couple of my old elites. They replaced both sets posted from the states. Pretty good service from TOG.

Do you think the Elites have a better draw cycle or bowtech?

The garage is trying to rip you of, on your car is there any warning lights coming on if not. There is nothing wrong with your car, Merc's have so many sensors it will soon tell you what's wrong then, look it up on UA-cam. Then get hands on one of your friends that knows cars...

That 266 fps is pathetic with a 375 grain arrow at 29”. My Elite Ritual at 28” 60#’s 426 grain hunting arrow will do 272 fps. Spending a fortune on this bow and expecting super speed is ridiculous IMO. ALL that adjustability for tuning is great but not needed but is awesome. You’re going to spend time with about any bow adjusting things possibly. In all my years since 1991 with compound bows I can not remember having to move shims but twice. I’ve had about every brand bow and very seldom had more than a few minutes on tuning them and getting bullet hole flight. IMO, if you have a bow that is working great the $’s these new cost just isn’t worth it. But that’s just me. Great review Steven. 👍👍

I don’t know what he is doing with speeds on this bow. I shit. 377 grain arrow out of this bow at 28.5 at 70 pounds on comfort setting at 305 fps

He doesn't pull 70 pounds. He mentions it in other videos but I think he shoots 60lbs

My god man! Those estimates for repairs are way out of line. Are you sure A/C filter for 800? Its a 70 dollar part and takes 2 min to install. Is the cv joint and spark plugs made out of gold? You are getting hosed for those service's.

Mathews has copied Bowtech with the way they attach the cams to the limbs. With abit of luck Mathews will eventually ship off the module specific cams move to a rotating mod.

I wonder if non Americans only use inches and pounds for US made bows?
Of course kilograms wouldnt make sense because it's not a force measurement like pounds are.

      @@Australian_Made it's a serious question.
Do you guys use Newtons and centimeters for bows made in Korea and other metric countries? Or does the whole world use imperial measurements for archery?

Take the car to another garage or sell it as it is. The guy you took it to is ripping you off massively.
