- “Cool, Calm & Collected” by The Rolling Stones
Composers: Mick Jagger and Keith Richards
Lyrics:
Well, she's very wealthy it's true
So in that she is one up on you
She's dressed all in red, white and blue
And she always knows more than you do
She's so affected
Cool, calm, collected
She knows who to smile to today
She has just been brought up in that way
She knows all the right games to play
And she always just knows what to say
She's well respected
Cool, calm, collected
Hello
She's so affected
Cool, calm, collected
In public the strain's hard to bear
She exudes such a confident air
But behind she is not without care
But she sweeps it right under her hair
She's well respected
Cool, calm, collected
She seems to glow brilliantly white
And her hair seems to shine in the night
With her feet unbelievably light
And her teeth ready, sharpened to bite
She's so respected
Cool, calm, collected

I love the smell of Rolling Stones to the morning
I freaking love this album
Rolling Stones Records, Promos and Bootlegs Oh nice that sounds awesome 👍
This is literally one of the *best* from the album ♡♡
It puts me in a good mood every time i hear it :)
they played with abandonment at the end then the whole thing falls apart; BRILLIANT!!!
Ironic and Sarcastic Lyric! It was 1967! Fantastic Record from the Brian Jones Times! My Best Stones Forever and Ever! From Here to Eternity!
Lyrics by fantastic Jagger.
@@Methilde Yes Joelle Mick was always an Excellent song writer!
Between the Buttons, great album!
Aftermath, which preceded it, was their first masterpiece, and arguably their best ever album. Between the Buttons followed and was nearly as good.
So Aftermath over Let It Bleed or Sticky Figers?? I don't know...@@thomascatt5736
Sounds better than ever !!!! Rock Classic !!!! Classic rock !!!!!
Always loved the sound of that banjo. The whole tune is honky tonk .
Brian is playing a dulcimer.
☄See "Cool, Calm & Collected" as the lyrical counterpart of the lovely "Back Street Girl" ...often misunderstood in 1967
This song 🎵 is awesome. The Stones are always making amazing music 🎶 🎵. They always bring something special and different to the music world 🌎. Their music 🎶 🎵 is just simply bad ass. They are so versatile, that's what sets them apart from everyone else.
the crescendo part is so good!
Good job 👍👍the voice to Mick Jagger its very Amazing Never change its crazy !!!!
Holy shit, about fucking time this song got some recognition. Thanks for the video, truly underrated
I can get off to this anytime.👅👅👅👅💨💨💨💨
So underated, all the band was amazing on it
GREAT song to get the old bones going in the morning! Thanks R.S. !!!
Learn to play the game baby ... it never ends ´cause there will always come something new,
1967 ) been collecting albums from 67. Love between the buttons
The song marks the beginning of great collaborations that Mr. Nicky Hopkins had at the piano! Brian on the Kazoo, a very subtle instrument!
Stu on piano!
Brian on dulicer too
No, Nicky here.
Brian could play any instrument
Long live the memory of the late, great Brian Jones. xoxo The Clarences
Nice song Stones!
Between the buttons is an album that's often lost "between" the Satisfaction early years, and the brief psychedelia and hard rock of the later 1960's. This often overlooked album, was definitely their transition from bluesy to late 60's psychedelia. Brian's bluesy Sitar riffs and his clever use of the backing incessant kazoo loop, along with its rag time piano and frantic crescendo makes this song by far the best on the album in my opinion.
Great Nicky Hopkins on piano here.
I'd say Aftermath was that more the Buttons
From as well loved album, I can almost spot Ray Davies standing in the shadows
I really like Aftermath but Between the Buttons is a huge step up
As a band they took a huge leap. The performances are great, especially the rhythm section.
I say this about so many Stones songs, but definitely a favorite. You know these gals when you meet em and oh man.
CHECK OUT SHE'S DOIN' HER THING, SAME TIME PERIOD
Nice ragtime beat.
Maybe my fav stones FUN !!!
Between The Buttons is too underrated.
Yes because no hit into the european album version.
Yes, Flowers too. This was a good time in their composition and ballads.
They have been great for so long !
"NICE" GOOD & 🆒 ROLLING STONES FOR EVER⭐⭐⭐📀💿👍👅

@@TheBrianJonesResource Guy you are all wrong
@@azevbn326 Brian Jones is their original founder.
You know that right?
Bill Wyman does
Brian! ❤❤❤
Brian Jones is underated.
🤘🇧🇷
This song best describes the ok boomer girl
Brian Jones❤❤ 😇😇
Rauuul
Brian as I understand plays a whole heap of instruments of this track.. sadly missed.
Bill Wyman.
Nice bass line
FIRST ( lowkey consider this an achievement only cuz its a rolling stones video)
I always loved this album. Witty, clever, fresh sounding at the time. Apparently Mick J never liked it due to it being an Andrew Loog Oldham construct. Keith obviously liked some of the tracks, as he still plays them today.
;-))) ! Cool , Calm & Collected
Charlie Watts ❤❤💕😇😇🙏😭😭😭
They sound kind like The Kinks. But a great and underrated song still
This is a great album. Nothing wrong with sounding like The Kinks.
The idiot at the end of the song is what matters

Think Thatcher. 🤪
Is Nicky Hopkins playing Piano on this?
I think it is Jack Nitsche who was working with them a lot at thr the time 65-69 he found and arranged the London Bach Choir on “ you cant always get what you want” and was working with Neil Young. And won Oscar for 1982 Up Where You Belong, and then a lot of film scores. Producer and he started as Phil spectors arranger for the Wall of Sound. It could have been Nicky bur Jack played piano on lets spend the night together.
Think it's Nicky Hopkins. Whatever Jack Nitsche is as good.
Ripping The Kinks?
Off of which song?
@@notmark6944 Their whole style, plus ruby Tuesday is literately ring the bells by the kinks
@@Appelman_1 The Kinks, the Who etc etc. Were all damn amazing bands & had solidarity with each other.

I always thought the "she" in the song was the United States, because of all the imagery beginning with "dressed all in red, white, and blue" onward, all the way down to all the little interlude samplings of American traditional tunes, like "Oh, Susannah." And in that interpretation, the singer, is the United Kingdom, sort of "courting" the U.S. of the early 60's as the emerging world power on the rise while the U.K. is on a sort of downward trajectory, at least in comparison to its former position in imperialistic and colonial terms.
This album came a few months before Sgt. Pepper's. Just saying...

Why is this song have more views than Stevie Wonder's "Be Cool?" When a band from across the Atlantic who had always tried to copy the blues genre pioneered by Afro-American is more famous...think about that
They moved beyond the blues. Think about that.
@@glennscrymgeour3617 True. Like any artist Stones started of copying what they liked but fast came into their own mixing genres and taking it further,
People just listen to this song more? I really don’t see what you’re trying to say exactly
@@Turtle1631991 The Beatles and The Rolling Stones played covers of Rock and Roll and Blues. They helped revitalized their careers as well bring attention to expand rheir audience
Great album, terrible video... Stoopid Computer Generation
cocaine?
Between the Buttons has such god awful production that it squanders potentially great songs.Thank god Jimmy Miller came along and took over from that hack Oldham.
Terrible recording. This sounds like 3 songs all playing at the same time. The piano is behind the beat the song sounds like it was recorded from.a transistor radio or a bad bootleg .why put this out...
One of their best songs for me
