  • This is my way to bypass those digital push button locks. Here I show how to decode two unbranded ( manufactured by Arrone I think) digital locks. Doesn't seem to work with every one but it has worked with most I have tried it on.

      I have changed the code on these doors several times. I have often thought ot might be better to show relevant people this video so them forgetting the code won't be seen issue. It does take a bit of practice and new locks of this type use a slightly different technique.
      Glad you enjoyed it and hope those feet of yours are nice and warm now : )

    With some of the push button locks, it helps to do it a little different. When you find a working digit, clear the code and press that/those button clearly in, before putting tension on. That way you have less chance of a sort of overset half set button.

      I found this method works well on older locks. In my video number (67) I had to adapt the method and do it somewhat differently to decode a new lock. I don't really know why but that's what I found whilst playing around with it.

    Oh, thank you. Thank you so so much. I just moved into a new shared house, and my bedroom door has this lock. It seemed to work fine yesterday, but tonight I locked it behind me and it wouldn't unlock again... cue a very frustrating and upsetting hour or so putting in the code again and again and turning the stupid handle this way and that and pulling and pushing on the door trying to get it to work at a different angle or whatever..
    Middle of the night so I can't ring the handyman (I tried, no answer) to come help and it's not a life threatening emergency so can't call emergency landlord line either.. looked up on google how to get into this kind of lock, stumbled on this video, and god bless your soul because while the technique didn't work on its own it seemed to reset the lock into the correct position so when I put the code in it actually let me in this time. Bless your damn soul. Saved me a meltdown 😭💞

    I have a LOCKEY m210 mechanical pushbutton deadbolt lock on a storage room where the BUTTONs started getting sticky soon after installation (beach community). Yesterday my wife CLOSED and locked the door to test the lock function and the lock will not respond to the correct code. Buttons and/or internal mechanism stick and will not accept the code to unlock the latch. The latch function appears free and unhindered.
    Do you have a recommended technique to free the buttons or solvent recommendation to restore button actions to unlatch this lock?

    • @roysammons2445
      @roysammons2445  3 роки тому +1

      The best was I would think to get lubricant to the back of the buttons would be to press then one at a time maybe half way and try squirting lubricant down the side of each button. By depressing half way the metal lip that stops the buttons from falling out whilst under pressure from the springs with beer half way, this allowing some lubricant to get behind.

    • @roysammons2445
      @roysammons2445  3 роки тому +1

      You can also try depressing the C button all the way and systematically pressing each button starting at 1 several times. Then try the code.

      Some of these locks are identical on both sides so require the code to be entered on either side of the door to open it.
      Others are just one sided so can be opened from the other side without a code, these ones usually also have a switch to hold the lock in the open position if so desired.

      Yes, I was fiddling with a lock on my workbench and tried the technique of slight tension on the twist handle and pushing the buttons. After several attempts to get the feel it seemed to work. I found it not so good on new locks but locks that are not so new it worked great. Afterwards I searched UA-cam to see if anyone else used the same method. I found one channel where this person used the opposite method. After tensioning the lock with the knob they said the buttons that was solid seemed to be the correct buttons. I tried it a dozen times but that method didn't seem to work for me.

      I always found that the easiest way to get passed these was simply to look at which buttons were shiny, from where regular pressing had prevented dust and grime from building up.
      It's surprising how many companies (especially banks) use combinations like 1 2 3 4 or 1 2 7 6.

    • @roysammons2445
      @roysammons2445  3 роки тому

      @@surfdigby If the company that uses these types of locks does these two things then it is difficult to use the option you suggest:
      1. Change code regularly.
      2. Clean buttons often.
      Having said that, these types of locks don't usually get their codes changed that often because they have to be taken apart to change the code.

      I wouldn't say it was quite as easy as I did it. I had practiced several times. I think this type of lock is more vulnerable when old and a little worn. New ones are slightly more awkward to open as the technique is a little different.
      My advice would be not to rely on this type of lock alone for ultimate security. The doors these locks are on are internal doors that don't need to that secure. You could leave the lock you have on your door and maybe add another for peace of mind.

It really depends what you are using these for (and where) you wouldn't want one of these protecting your front door, but using them in a shop for a stockroom or in an office is fine as you can usually easily control who has access to these areas. You can use them in conjunction with other locks (deadlocks for instance) so that during certain hours you can keep the door double locked so intruders have a second lock to get through.

From looking at pictures of the TL-111 I would say it should be ok though it seems that it has a manual key override which doesn't look like the most secure design (I may be wrong, they might be using anti pick pins etc. I would have to take a good look at one to tell.
      If it's on a bedroom door hopefully there aren't too many people who have direct access to it that are going to be trying to break through it. The other part is the latch would be easily slipped (not sure if there is any defence against this such as it locking out until the code is entered, so it may be worth investing in a strike plate to cover the latch from a direct attack.

      @@dannymactheatreoflife.1771 Possibly.
      If the mechanism has jammed inside that may not work. I guess you have nothing to lose if the door won't open.
      If you have to use a grinder you would be better cutting from the bottom, then the top, upwards and downwards through the top and bottom of the lock. That way you would hit the screws holding the lock in the door and the whole front should fall off. Then it's just a case of using a screwdriver to twist open ther latch.

      Roy Sammons Hi Roy thanks for your help , i managed to open the lock by cutting away the rubber seal at the back of the front key pad and the just slightly prized it open with a chisel and expose the holding screws and cut through them with a hack saw blade and it just fell off , and then opened the latch with a flat head screw driver like you said and that got me in . I have replaced with a new lock so thanks a million 👍

    That first lock is installed so horribly that I bet you could open it with a credit card without breaking your stride. Who installs a lock with no form of jamb or plate blocking the non-opening side of the door?
    In fact the scratches by the latch seem to imply that many people have used exactly that method!

    • @roysammons2445
      @roysammons2445  4 роки тому +2

      The latch mechanism has a second pin that stops you bypassing with a credit card shim. I think you may be right that someone or two may have tried to gain access. The door isn't that high security that it matters that much, hence there being no need to put a plate to protect the latch mechanism. The other door needed something to give a bit better view at least that it is reasonably secure.
      As far as I know no one has actually got any of those doors open. To be honest these kind of locks are not secure as it doesn't take much to see the numbers when punched in. Those numbers can be pressed in any order to open the door, so looking as you get the right numbers.

    normally there are easier ways by just looking at them, first giveaway is fingerprints on the used numbers, second giveaway are clean spots or dirty spots around the numbers, third giveaway is scratch marks down the side of the used numbers. office ones are the easiest because the women use greasy hand lotion and leave grease marks on the buttons.

      All very good valid points.
      These kind of locks tend not to get their codes changed that often because they are fiddly to change. The ones in the video don't tend to have the tell ttake signs you shared. Although I have been in places and some of the buttons have been obvious because they have looked more skinny than other buttons.

    Thanks for info I probably buy this lock for internal door. How long does it take before these locks are no good or secure. Like you show in this video. I was checking this video ua-cam.com/video/HOk9up2xX40/v-deo.html . Where he says C is to clear code. Only one thing worries me. If C is used to clear the code. Then anyone can gain the access. By just pressing C or X to clear the code. Please let me know after watching the video with link I have added here. I even thought to add yale cylinder lock. But I think That can not be fitted to internal doors. You opinion counts. Thanks.

    • @roysammons2445
      @roysammons2445  4 роки тому +2

      You can buy locks similar to this with a key as well. I would only use this type of lock with a secondary lock if you want minimal security.
      The 'C' button does clear the code but once the code is set the C button only resets the buttons pushed in case you make a mistake. See it as an error reset in case you accidentally pushed the wrong button. It won't reset the code.
      Newer push button locks decode differently. I am not absolutely sure why but this video had a link to a new push button lock I decode.
      Hope this helps.
