this keira quest is quite poorly worded - alot of people don't get what will geralt say for one option or another and what will that mean and what will happen. half the people end up killing her and it's never intentional.
The thing is if you played Witcher 1 & 2 before 3 you actually know what Geralt actually wants. CDPR didn't do anything different on the words and on decisions, they still twist words so people choose the "worng" in some way. But there is not really a wrong choice, only a choice to make it different if you play it again 😉 To be fair Witcher 1 & 2 are not available on Console and 1 would be hard for the most players who played only 3. Because Witcher 1 has a completly different fightiing system. You have 3 different fighting styles and you have to choose the right one for the enemy you fight against. Also the controls are more are less only with the mouse =) (Trust me i always need 2-3 hours to get into the controls again)
@@Shona1337 i've seen different playthrough and there're people who instantly and easily get the w1 combat system and those who keep bitching about it till the end. so its qualities aren't that objective. the system isn't bad, and it was different and unconventional even on release. that said i think that w1 and w2 are great and necessary if you want to get the most out of w3. huge part of the w3 experience is the characters you're supposed to already know. and if you don't you're damaging and limiting your own fun.
Everyone making a big deal over a choice, its his playthrough let him make the choices he wants to. I find it refreshing seeing a playthrough where theres decisions being made that no one else has made. Makes me wonder if he will get one of the other 2 endings instead of the ending everyone else gets.
I made the same choice as him and was also shocked. But there are a lot of choices in this game where you just choose one of 2 evils, so it's okay. I didn't reload anything to change choices I made, because that would feel like cheating to me.
@@Jessi62681 It's true that there's so many "choose the lesser evil but not really" options in this game but with this particular quest of Kiera there's literally a clear cut good option with the best outcome for everyone involved. But yeah the wording of the options was really unclear it's easy to see how so many people messed it up.
Yeah. The Bloody Baron Quest gets real Noodley as it all starts to unravel. Your actions, as with Kiera, will have consequences, and they won't all be happy. In The Baron's Court you'll find a very useful blacksmith who can help with armour and also your next challenger for Gwent, I just hope you nipped back to White Orchard and The Crossroads and bought the extra cards from the tavern keeps. You'll need them. Wish we could see more of the levelling up process and what decisions you make to select different upgrades, likewise which runes are you slotting into weapons and armour and why.
Almost every choice you make has a consequence. Either in that exact moment or multiple choices throughout the game to give you the ending you get. It's your first playthrough give yourself some grace. My first one was horrible like most everyone elses. That's one of the best things about this game is that you can play it over and over and get a different outcome every time. Losing Keira is a big bummer tho😢
Keira romance won't spoil your future picks...shame she died...I would have reloaded😅 but it's your playthrouh...Yen on the other hand..think of her as Gerald's soulmate😊

Nothing wrong with not researching ahead. Everyone plays this game different. I chose the serpent comment. And he goes off on her. It's a bit ridiculous, and kind of funny but results in the same ending. There are few of these in the game where it seems minor and it goes way further than expected.
Honestly, this is one of the worst dialogue choice-consequence parts in the whole game. In my first playthrough, I picked dialogue choices in good faith to persuade her and then she attacked me. I was like like, oh, well nvm then.
He is not the first to kill Keira and will not be the last. I agree with others who say the dialogue is misleading. You would never guess from the option chosen that you would have to kill her. I have seen lots of people reload at that point, at least he stood by his decision. Also Killing Keira is better than her other way of dying.
And yes..there is a potion that will let you see in the dark, it's called Cat Potion and it can be upgraded...just have to find or buy the recipe
just use the torch the potion makes the whole screen go white
Not underwater you won't 😄
Always save before you confront a significant character just in case so you can see the other options

7:08 Yes, on higher difficulties meditation doesn't heal you. You need food and potions for that.
