As an American Last of the Summer Wine was and still is my favorite comedy series and the most funniest show on television and still is thank you.🇬🇧📺🇬🇧
About 30 years ago, on a tour of Yorkshire, my wife and I travelled through Holmfirth and were so enchanted we simply spent the rest of our holiday there. I hope it hasn't changed too much, especially some of the best fish and chips we ever had. If you're anywhere near Holmfirth, don't pass up the chance. Never got to go back, much as I'd have loved to. But my health deteriorated - and the thought of all those slopes and steps!😊 Beautiful town. Always loved LotSW of course before and thereafter. But to my mind, it wasn't the same for many of us after Compo and Foggy were gone... still got all the series up to then, especially the Xmas Specials.
I wonder how many people know that we Yorkshire folk are actually like these characters. The women especially, reminded me of many of the women in Oughtibridge, a few miles to the south. None of us had any money after WW2, so we amused ourselves doing stuff that didnt cost owt. My major espense on 5/- a week while growing up was to spend 1/3d at Hillsborough stadium every second Saturday afternoon. I went tp Penistone Grammar school, as did many of my mates, just south of Holmfirth.
This wonderful series kept me sane and happy during 2020/21 isolation due to being at very high risk. Watch all of them. We don’t make anything to beat them today. It’s just totally unfunny so called comedies/ comedians.
Not corny at all, you exhibit good taste! The programme is still one of the most popular TV comedy shows and just as funny and clever as it was when it started all those years ago.

Yes, it was quite different after Compo was gone, my husband and I really enjoyed the show .
Last of the Summer Wine is the definitive reason for why the government should legislate that nobody is allowed to die under the age of 200
A great documentary Larry.
Well done you done a real nice job I watched it for years it was the best.

Great video ❤. Why is the road in front of Edie’s house not paved?
Call me corny, but I have a fondness for last of the summer wine.😊
