On a group server, this activates whenever ANY player who has this mod installed approaches an area with fires/torches. If the person with the mod is not present, the fires will dwindle down as usual. NoRainDamage - prevents rain damage. Useful for building fun wooden structures outside (like docks or fences) without feeling obligated to put a roof over everything. When I realized how things like FuelEternal worked, I offered to turn it off, but they unanimously agreed that they liked not having to worry about torch and fire fuel anymore and wanted me to keep it on haha. It's one of those things that absolutely does not break the survival experience and just feels like a good relief after we've all beaten the game from start to finish 7+ times at this point.
what the actuall FUCK! how do you even come up with something like this? ive seen most insane builds on here and where ppl else upload.. but this 100% hands down take the NR 1 spot! on every build i have ever seen.. you sir are INSANE!
You and everyone else! All recording clips except the last were supposed to be muted. I added that one in there at the last minute and forgot to set the volume to 0. My bad!
While this is unbelievable and probably the nicest build ive ever seen in any game that allows building ever, im somehow more amazed at your framerate. Are you filming this on a nasa supercomputer? Jokes aside well done, i wish i had 1/10th the creativity you have.
Holy crap, I don't even know what to do with that praise. Thank you, kind sir! I'm afraid it's all down hill from here lol. While I've still got several other completed builds I need to film and showcase, I'm not quite sure what I'm going to build next. I'm definitely going to return to something much smaller and simpler though. I get a bit burnt out on working on the grand scale for too long. And to your point, FPS becomes an issue with larger builds, particularly since Mistlands released. I talked about it in a few other comments, but I was quite frustrated with the FPS I'm getting here (11K instances) and in my favorite build area (19K instances). While I do indeed have a good computer, at max settings, I'm getting about 18-22 FPS here. I used to easily get 40+fps at an area with 11k instances, even with a lot of lights. I'm not sure what changed, but it's driving me nuts! Anyway, sadly, I had to lower some settings related to lights and shadows in order to capture this footage at the 30fps mark.
Not gonna lie im not even sure what you mean by instances as im kinda new into valheim, but i can imagine the burnout. Id love to see some small scale ideas for inbetween main bases as something to rest at between journeys. Keep it up man and dont go to hard lol.
@@Homitu Absolute same Problem here. Last Build was 21K Instances and i never got over 15-20 FPS. A little help brings this in the data "boot.config" C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Valheim\valheim_Data add the following (open with texteditor): gfx-enable-gfx-jobs=1 gfx-enable-native-gfx-jobs=1 Save it and you get up to 10 FPS more
@@eprimchad2576 Sorry for the late reply. "Instances" are what the game calls individual objects that need to be rendered. At any time in game, you can press f2 to see various details about the game's performance (including FPS). It will give you the current instance count in the area that is being rendered. By default with zero building performed, any given area typically has between 2-3.5K instances. Building, especially in greater detail, adds onto that. That's one of the primary factors that affect FPS.
@@tobi4972 Thanks. I've definitely done this in the past, but with all of the updates to and from the beta test server, this is definitely a good reminder to make sure the boot config file is still edited. I do believe it had reverted back after playing on the test server that one time.
Honestly, this is purely a fun creative mode build, not intended to be a functional base of any sort. So no, no considerations like that were made. Definitely a good thing to do in a progression base though!
Aww that’s so nice to hear, thank you! Only mod is my standard PlantEverything to add the vines around the large marble pillars and the planters in the garden area. You know, just gotta paint those happy little bushes here and there ;)
Thanks so much! Yes, subscribe and stay tuned for just such a video! I’m gonna try to do a spoken walkthrough where I talk about concept ideas behind different parts, some other iterations I worked through and scrapped, and some “how to” clips for some of the cooler or trickier parts of the build.
@@Homitu Already excited to see what they will do with the Biome, they added Loads of Silver Nodes all over the Place. Not gonna shed a single Tear about my small Outpost down there.
Hey, you joke and you might not believe it, but I was 100% in the same boat when I started this game almost 2 years ago! I was building "okay" basic huts with all the essentials, struggling to get used to the snapping mechanics, and absolutely MARVELING at builds I was seeing other people post. I had NO IDEA I had any creative potential hidden inside me! I'm not kidding. I've gradually leveled up over 2 years by watching other awesome builders, gathering inspiration, and learning new, cool techniques. It really is something that improves with practice. Equally interesting to me is that every time I step away from the game for a couple months (ie. my Elden Ring escapade earlier in the year) and then return, building is not immediately like riding a bike to me. I get COMPLETELY stuck and unable to build anything for like a dozen hours while I relearn concepts. It's a slow skill ramp up again to get good again. It's very strange to me, but that's how it works for me. There are also many days where I suffer from "writer's block" for valheim building, "builder's block", if you will. Nothing comes to me and I accomplish basically nothing for my entire session. No ideas churn; nothing I try looks good, etc. On those days, I just log out, go do something else for a bit and come back another time. Anyway, keep at it! You might be surprised with yourself!
Amazing Build, i´ll definetly steal some of the Decor Ideas :P Have you tried to put a Moder Trophy on Top of a Seeker? You´ll a complete different Beast, looks pretty scary imo.

Heya, here is a link to a google drive that should have the world files. The world name is NoDeath, since this world was originally a no death survival run that I, of course, started building stuff in again cause I can't help myself... I haven't shared a world with anyone before, so let me know if this works or not. I put some directional signs near spawn as guidance. This world includes builds for all of the biome videos I've uploaded to youtube so far. drive.google.com/drive/folders/1-0ca6V4PV-HqKlr4eEUKGP2_I0gR80-n?usp=sharing
Nope, no mods! (Well, except for Plant Everything for the vines on the pillars.) Integrity is vanilla with a very carefully setup (maxed out) iron network, including making good use of the new angled iron beams in spots. Also, the green/red tower is strategically built near that one tree that's high up and cuts through the green tower, which adds a vital fresh grounding point to build from.
The tools are in the game's dev commands. Press f5 to open the console command window in the game. Start with typing "devcommands". Next "freefly" to enable that first person free flying camera. To smooth it out to max smoothness, type a final command: "ffsmooth 1". For the number, you can choose anything between 0 and 1, where 0 has no smoothing and 1 is maximum smoothness. Once in freefly mode, use the ASDW keys to move. Mouse scroll wheel will speed up or slow down your speed. Left click will fix your camera's target on an object in the center of your screen, causing your camera to rotate around that object. Right click locks the current camera motion you started without having to hold the button(s) down. It definitely takes some practice. Many shots I capture take me 10+ attempts to get them just right! A video like this consists of about 30 clips, including the 2 long interior tours. Those 30 clips get chosen out of 120+ "good" clips I captured. Those 120 good clips were plucked from 500+ bad ones lol.

I'm hard at work on 2 more videos (a stone + darkwood follow up to my "10 Wood Additions you can add to improve your wood house" video, and a Part 2 "companion" video to this showcase video, where I walk through the build in more depth.) So stay tuned :) Those vids just take soooo long to make...
RE: mods on the group server, yeah I was pleased with how they functioned as well. My buddies don't play with mods generally, so I was in the same boat, not wanting to impact their experience.
@@Homitu I look forward to it, I'm sure it's worth the wait.
I now have added the Mods also, great addition to the game no doubt 🤙
lol 1:03 the discord sound got me like: HUH? i don't have my discord open :D
This is beautiful! Great job and thank you for sharing! 🤩💖
Thanks so much!
OMG! That looks amazing! Thanks for sharing it
Thanks so much - really appreciate it!
Hello, I would love to build that somehow. Do you publish the plans anywhere? Or a step buy step guide?
Insane you absolute insane well done like is blue
Nice build man!
what the actuall FUCK! how do you even come up with something like this? ive seen most insane builds on here and where ppl else upload.. but this 100% hands down take the NR 1 spot! on every build i have ever seen.. you sir are INSANE!
Absolutely stunning!
this is crazy bro one of the best ive seen
Thanks man!
@@Homitu welcome
1:00 that discord notif really messed me up xD
You and everyone else! All recording clips except the last were supposed to be muted. I added that one in there at the last minute and forgot to set the volume to 0. My bad!
Absolutely stunning 🤩
Simply Clever...very nice
this is just insane :D
absolutely beautiful build
This is fucking insane. Props dude!
A little help brings this
in the data "boot.config"
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Valheim\valheim_Data
add the following (open with texteditor):
gfx-enable-gfx-jobs=1
gfx-enable-native-gfx-jobs=1
Save it and you get up to 10 FPS more
@@eprimchad2576 Sorry for the late reply.
You've got my sub! Wonderful work.
Wow. I am without words.
Wow! Amazing!
⭐️very inspirational 👏 do you raise the comfort of your crafting area, to get that rested bonus while you're prepping for battle..?
Honestly, this is purely a fun creative mode build, not intended to be a functional base of any sort. So no, no considerations like that were made. Definitely a good thing to do in a progression base though!
Wow, this looks just fantastic.
Insane. It's videos like these that are the advertisements that bring me back to the game.
Any mods used? Would love to know, cheers!
Aww that’s so nice to hear, thank you! Only mod is my standard PlantEverything to add the vines around the large marble pillars and the planters in the garden area. You know, just gotta paint those happy little bushes here and there ;)
Wow, this is beautiful and fantastic. Kudos to you. Would you mind showing a gameplay version so we can see what it looks like in real time?
Thanks so much! Yes, subscribe and stay tuned for just such a video! I’m gonna try to do a spoken walkthrough where I talk about concept ideas behind different parts, some other iterations I worked through and scrapped, and some “how to” clips for some of the cooler or trickier parts of the build.
Gorgeous!
This is really inspiring, really good design
1:02 fooled all of us
100 hours well spent my man. Very cool! Ashlands next?
Thanks! I'll build in Ashlands when the devs fully release it. Soooo....see ya in 2024! ;)
@@Homitu Already excited to see what they will do with the Biome, they added Loads of Silver Nodes all over the Place. Not gonna shed a single Tear about my small Outpost down there.
I'm happy with my country hut, bed and 3 cooking fires * cries into pillow *
Hey man, been watching your videos. Awesome content. I'd really love to know how you made your UI look so sick?
Thanks dude, appreciate it! The UI is RandyKnapp's Project Auga. Cheers,
Amazing Build, i´ll definetly steal some of the Decor Ideas :P Have you tried to put a Moder Trophy on Top of a Seeker? You´ll a complete different Beast, looks pretty scary imo.
Haha no I haven't tried that. I'll check it out though! Thanks for the idea.
Hogwarts in Valheim... truly impressive and atmospheric
Jesus christ. that's fuc*in impressive
This is absolutely amazing
1:03 that sneaky discord sound
Impressive. What's your fps in this when not recording?
do we even play the same game?
Amazing, well done 🙂
We got the damn Martin Scorsese of Valheim videos over here
lmao I'll take it. I'm doing my best to level up my video editing skills using the free software I have at my disposal. This is all very new to me.
@@Homitu well you're doing a heck of a job fam keep it up
As a guy who's father is a LoRT nut, I like the mini eye-of-Sauron!
Ha! Thanks! I was just gifted the Silmarillion for Christmas...so time to dive in and see the histories behind the Rings of Power.
amazing man!
1:02 everyone checking discord rn
Is there a way I could download this?! So beautiful, I’d love to explore it 😊❤
Heya! A few other people have asked as well, so I've made the world file available on a google drive: drive.google.com/drive/folders/1-0ca6V4PV-HqKlr4eEUKGP2_I0gR80-n?usp=share_link
This world contains each of the "biome builds" I've showcased to youtube so far. I have other worlds with many more builds to showcase, so if you're interested, feel free to subscribe and stay tuned :) Thanks for your interest!
Dont supose you have a link to this build i would love to go into it/
Heya, here is a link to a google drive that should have the world files.

If you look at the comments, you'll quickly learn you were most definitely NOT the only one lol. My bad!
Dude this is fucking insane and inspiring
This is amazing.. and it took you only 100 hours?! Holy smokes.
Absolutely perfect.
that discord notification sound at 1.03 really caught me out
You and everyone else lol. Note to self: do 1 final "select all" + mute on my video clips before processing.
supercool buildings, did you gather all materials yourself or with help of some friends?
Masterpiece.
subbed and JESUS DUDE NAW NAW HOW WTF JUST HOW
Jaw is on the floor... this is modded though to not have structural stability accounted for correct?
Nope, no mods! (Well, except for Plant Everything for the vines on the pillars.) Integrity is vanilla with a very carefully setup (maxed out) iron network, including making good use of the new angled iron beams in spots. Also, the green/red tower is strategically built near that one tree that's high up and cuts through the green tower, which adds a vital fresh grounding point to build from.
amazing.
i'm curious, how do you get those first person shots that pan so smoothly?
@@Homitu wow thanks a lot for the detailed reply.
Holy shit dude this is awesome, wish i could build like that
