ASUS Zenbook 15 OLED (UM3504) - Project My New Laptop

I wanted to upgrade my existing Hp Envy x360 2020 with a newer machine with better performance. This seems like it fits the bill on first sight. After a week with this machine, I have decided to let the thin & light requirement go and have started looking for something that can also do gaming! Follow me along on my journey

@@xtx313 Yes, It’s a very nice laptop. Thin, fast and a Beautiful screen. One minor issue … after a longer period in sleep modus it wont wake. Fixed after changing some settings. It's hard to recommend it over the 14 inch because I only own the 15 inch Zenbook. ua-cam.com/users/shortsCVsldEPePYM

@@xtx313 I haven't fixed the sleep modus issue yet (haven't tried it because been buzzy. I also received my gaming laptop last week ua-cam.com/users/shortsLAnVPVZz_So). The battery life is aprox 6-8 hrs. 16:9.

Thanks for the review! Do you think the display is too glossy? If so, were you able to get used to it? I've heard a lot of complaints about how reflective it is.

I didn't find it more glossy than any of my other non-matte laptop screens

What about speaker sound quality? (they are faced down for some reason)
And about temperature, does it feel hot on the keyboard, when light-gaming or using resource-intensive software?

The sound lacks bass but otherwise is comparable to other slim laptops. The speakers are downfiring. For best sound quality, place it on a hard surface.
It does get warm around the top side of keyboard when under load but remains comfortable to touch.

Some movement is normal as it is a hinge this is designed to allow movement. If you feel its too loose, you can try a warranty claim

How much score for pcmark firestrike and timespy? Do you test?

No, I did not test that. Just tested Cinebench R23 (Single Core score was 1526 and multicore was 10917) and Furmark V 1.35.0.0 (Score 1984)

I did not do a battery runtime test. You'll find other channels/websites who did such tests. AMD APUs are quite efficient. So battery life should be good.
