Curious to know if posting earlier in the morning is the new thing. I know James you normally posted Noon my time now it was 8 am today. Don’t mind I can watch a new kill count with breakfast but my ass be sleeeepy 🫣😅
I always love James' kill counts because they always have that one line that will make me associate the movie with. In this case it is "Finally noticing that Paul is played by Jared Leto, Natalie and Brenda run for their lives"
From the original Scream 4 video, for me, it was, "Robbie looks weird 'cause he has a little headset-webcam-thing that he uses to livestream 24/7, and Charlie looks weird 'cause he's played by a Culkin."
They must have known he was eventually going to act like he was too good to have been in this movie, even though Robert Englund and Brad Doruf are both better actors than he is.
The fact that Robert Englund and Brad Dourif were both in this is amazing, considering they’re the “profanity jokes” killers of what I call the big 6 of slashers. Jason can’t, Leatherface is too uneducated, Michael just doesn’t, Ghostface speaks but not a lot of jokes, and Freddy and Chucky make so many jokes that reference how they are killing
It also has the killer from Wrong Turn. Plays the janitor. Danielle Harris is also from Halloween 5 & 6. Brenda has a cameo in Scream 2 (I like to think lol)
@@bc5163well actually 1. he played three finger in the first film 2. Danielle Harris is from Halloween 4 & 5 but not 6 and 3. Brenda and Damon has cameos in scream 2

Hey hey guys don’t hate on Zoran he’s cool :( what I said had nothing to do with who was hosting, in fact, I haven’t watched a kill count in a small while anyways. I just meant that this was exceptionally funny
When I saw this movie for the first time as a kid I remember finding it ridiculous how many people owned that exact make and model of the winter coat so I'm glad you pointed it out. The "someone's in the back seat" and dog in the microwave scene have also stuck with me for years.
It's definitely something of a... I dunno if I'd call it a plot hole, necessarily, but it's super strange. I feel like it would've made more since, at least, if maybe if were a school parka? Like, it just came in that one color, had the school's insignia on it, that would at least explain the sheer number of them, even if not why so many people had them on hand outside of the winter months.

Welcome back, James! You've been missed, but Zoran and Chelsea really helped fill the void. I love Loretta Devine. The way she speaks, acts, looks, and carries herself. A movie is always elevated by her presence.

The coolest thing about Urban Legend always was its awesome cast compost from actors who already were stars and those up and coming ones. To think we got Chucky, Freddy Krueger, Jamie Llyod, the DCU Joker, Smallville’s Lex Luthor, Vicky from American Pie, Three Finger from the OG Wrong Turn and Joey from Dawson’s Creek is insane

I will say this is one of the underrated slasher films. Lot of the kills are unique based on the many urban legends which is definitely a unique concept and the atmosphere and cast is pretty solid too. Plus you got many fun horror legends like Brad Dourif and Robert England in a few scenes too. They're always fun.
Dourif in particular seems to be playing his "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" character if he'd lived, gotten away from the psych ward and Nurse Ratched and gotten a service job.
@@saturnivis_6327 i also loved how rebecca changed her accent once brenda was revealed as the killer in her natural southern draw voice since shes from kentucky
Okay, I literally BURST out laughing at your "Week-END" joke. I love this movie and I am SO glad someone else finally acknowledged how funny that line is. Cracks me up very time. Hope you have a great week-END!!
I love Rebecca Gayheart. This film and Jawbreaker are so good and she’s really good in both. I love in this film, when you find out she’s the killer, she gets all southern sounding. She’s from East Kentucky (I’m from west Kentucky, right on the board line of Tennessee) and you can tell it’s a bit natural (some Kentuckians can blend in with their accents, like Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and George Clooney are all from Kentucky, but don’t really have the southern accent; I don’t really either, but I was born party deaf, so I grew up learning from television and movies rather than my parents, plus my dad also has a different accent, due to being from northern Kentucky, though he still has somewhat a southern accent).
As a Torontonian, I feel obligated to point out that the University of Toronto was also where they filmed part of Black Christmas. A school with good horror pedigree! Happy to see you back, James!
Glad to see you guys are back, Zoran did a great job covering for you, and I loved the Critters Attack To The Number gag! Hope you and Chelsea had a great time, sooo jealous you got to meet 2D!
James, you got me through a tough time. Last August, my parents had a final divorce and I was sad I so started to watch your new kill counts and it helped me. Thank you.❤ Been a fan for about 4 years.
I completely understand/agree. During a particularly bad stretch in my depression, this channel calmed and soothed like nothing else. Not sure exactly how that magic works but I’m forever grateful.
I also discovered this channel back in 2020 while I was going thru a divorce and loss of a job. I became addicted to these kill counts starting with the Friday the 13th series and have been a fan ever since.
I’m so glad you’re doing these movies. They’re fun. I’m still terrified of the someone in the back seat legend! I check my back seat every time and tell people that legend
I remember watching this as a teenager, and the scene of the girl waking up in a tub of ice with her kidney gone will forever be engrained into my mind.
Brad dourif, Robert Englund, and Michael Rosenbaum were the main reasons I first watched urban legend. I ended up loving it though. It reminded me of the horror campiness of nightmare on elm street and the Chucky movies. Which I guess fit perfectly considering Robert and Brad were in this movie.
Sasha’s chase scene alone is just so well done. What an underrated slasher flick! Also, one thing about James is, that he knows how to do a damn good sponsorship 🤣🤣🤣
Oddly enough and maybe this is just due to being fairly young but growing up I learned most of the main urban legends from this film instead of from books or chain mail, I like to thank this film and a few episodes (most the college campus hook hand episode) of supernatural for my obsession with urban legends which unintentionally grew into my love for horror
"finally noticing that Paul is played by Jared Leto, Natalie and Brenda run for their lives" LMAO I don't know why but of all the JL jokes that was my favorite
Well i guess the good thing about being stuck working until 11pm in Australia is you get to watch the new kill count within the first minute of it posting! Been looking forward to Urban Legend!
I remember watching this movie on FX, like in 2007. At the time, I hated horror movies. I was a big scardty cat ,but from the opening kill, I was hooked. James, I'm glad you are back doing Kill Counts again
Great to have you back James! This was a fun kill count to watch, especially loved at the end when you were tallying up the total number of kills and the professor's stick figure had a little Freddy hat and clawed glove.
This is one kill count that I was looking forward to since the show began. I'm really pleased to know that James loves this movie and thinks it's really good. I went to see this movie when I was 19 years old and my sister was 22. We both really enjoy the movie and my favorite part is " There's someone in the Backseat!" by Chucky himself Brad Dourif. Always enjoy the pop culture references too and they're really fun!😊
I’ve been waiting years for you to cover this classic. Glad to see you back James. Side note, Jared Leto seems to reinforce all the worst stereotypes about actors. What a tool.
I love that behind the scenes shot showing Shelly Cook having to RUN AT the window before jumping at it and turning for the shot of Brenda being knocked out of the window. It's just as hilarious as it is amazing, stuntpeople need more recognition.
Welcome back James!!! We hope you enjoyed your much needed, and beyond earned, break or at the very least worked on your mental fortitude after what happened in your personal life. And thanks Chelsea and Uncle Zoran for doing such a fantastic job while you were away. I can't wait for more Kill Counts from the 3 (maybe more if the Dead Meat team brings in guest host) of you!!!
The thing that I enjoy about these kill counts compared to other channels that do the same thing is that Dead Meat breaks down the movie, reviews it, and talks about the behind-the-scenes on the making of the kills instead of just showing the clips of the death scenes in the film and calling it a day.
The king of horror has returned. Welcome back, James. ❤ This movie is pretty good. It's where I first learned a lot of urban legends from, and kills are very well done. (Never went near Pop Rocks after that. Jamie Blanks did an excellent job, especially for his first time.

Here's an interesting fact. The legend about the calls coming from inside the house is actually based on the real-life cold case of Janett Christman
The story about the old lady and the microwave made me think of possibly in Michigan
She must have been out of her head
Much respect to Tara Reid for those stunts, that looked insane! I can't believe they used a real axe
Michael Rosenbaum’s portrayal of Lex Luthor in Smallville has to be the most comic accurate representation I’ve seen
This is one of my favorite childhood scary movies, the kills in this one are iconic. so excited you're covering it, and welcome back James!
10:10 her voice is so unique I love it. I could literally literally listen to her tell me a story on audible.
"shut off the fcking light" - "then why have a fcking-light at all?" probably still one of my favorite Dead Meat jokes.
Glorious.
I became addicted to these kill counts starting with the Friday the 13th series and have been a fan ever since.
what I love about this channel is James telling the background of the actors and production. makes me appreciate the movie more ❤
Epic killer reveal. The crazy eyes were unforgettable. Loved watching this as a kid with my sister in law and her kids. ❤
I’m so glad you’re doing these movies. They’re fun. I’m still terrified of the someone in the back seat legend! I check my back seat every time and tell people that legend
Tara / Sasha's chase scene is such an incredible horror moment! So so so good!
Almost rival Sarah Michelle Gellar's scene in i know
@@RGF91 Exactly!!
Loretta Devine is a gem in everything she’s in but she is an absolute treasure as Reese.
Best character in the movie.
All hail James the kill count god 🙌🏻
*Zoran*
All hail for James 🙏

Molly is an Angel! Little dogs get a bad rep, but once they grow on you, you’d do anything for them. Hoping Lucy and Molly end up the best of buds!
I remember watching this as a teenager, and the scene of the girl waking up in a tub of ice with her kidney gone will forever be engrained into my mind.
21:51 the subtle "yeah, that would've lasted" is sending me 😂😂
Zoran is fantastic, but it really warms my heart seeing James back! Welcome back!!
Welcome back, James! This was one of the first horror movies I saw that really got me into the genre, so it means a lot for you to cover it. Cheers!
It’s good to see you back James. Anyone who hosts is already incredible. But you just make it even better.
Sasha’s chase scene alone is just so well done. What an underrated slasher flick! Also, one thing about James is, that he knows how to do a damn good sponsorship 🤣🤣🤣
Oddly enough and maybe this is just due to being fairly young but growing up I learned most of the main urban legends from this film instead of from books or chain mail, I like to thank this film and a few episodes (most the college campus hook hand episode) of supernatural for my obsession with urban legends which unintentionally grew into my love for horror
early SPN running with urban legends were some of the best episodes
man door hand hook car door
25:22 RIP James, I bet this was Zoran’s act of revenge against James for not letting him do more kill counts
Anyone else find it funny how Jared Leto has played two horror movie characters named Paul in such a relatively short time?
Brad Dofif doing the Chucky chant made me burst out laughing absolutely brilliant ❤😂
This is one of the first horror movies I ever watched! So happy to see you're covering it!
The hint in the school crest is amazing. You can tell they put a lot of passion into this film.
''Then why even have a fucking light at all?'' fucking floored me. Good to have you back James.
Watching this movie as a kid around when it first came out, that opening with Brad Dourif is one of those fantastic hidden memories.
I remember watching this movie on FX, like in 2007. At the time, I hated horror movies. I was a big scardty cat ,but from the opening kill, I was hooked. James, I'm glad you are back doing Kill Counts again
Good to have you back James. Glad you got the time off you needed. Looking forward to many more years of kill counts with you!
Finally a Killcount by James,i was starting to miss these videos.
Same 😭
Right!!!!
Great to have you back James! This was a fun kill count to watch, especially loved at the end when you were tallying up the total number of kills and the professor's stick figure had a little Freddy hat and clawed glove.
those little details and puns are some of my favorite parts of the kill count videos!
Always enjoy the pop culture references too and they're really fun!😊
such an amazing movie, i don’t understand how it wasn’t covered years ago
I’ve been waiting years for you to cover this classic. Glad to see you back James. Side note, Jared Leto seems to reinforce all the worst stereotypes about actors. What a tool.
I love that behind the scenes shot showing Shelly Cook having to RUN AT the window before jumping at it and turning for the shot of Brenda being knocked out of the window. It's just as hilarious as it is amazing, stuntpeople need more recognition.
It's got Danielle Harris in it, which automatically makes it one of the best horror movies of all time.
we're so glad to have you back james, its been lovely with zoran and chelsea, but nobody can do what you do
the draino-pop rocks kill was the most memorable one for me, i'm pretty sure i've only seen this movie once, but that stuck with me for some reason
I loved this movie as a kid. For some reason I had it on VHS before I really got into horror, but because of that, I watched it a lot.
This movie is pretty good. It's where I first learned a lot of urban legends from, and kills are very well done. (Never went near Pop Rocks after that. Jamie Blanks did an excellent job, especially for his first time.
I love his work.
11:04 love how the censoring makes Tosh's head look like bad Marvel CGI
as a young person who was in elementary school and middle school in the 2010s 20teens yes we do still do the little urban legends
Welcome back James! Hope your honeymoon/time off was good. Zoran and Chelsea killed it in your absence!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR DOING THIS JAMES! I literally requested this after seeing it for the first time recently and I was so excited when I heard u were doing it. Much love ❤
4:29 this part always gave me chills just based on the line delivery alone. To learn that it was Chucky himself all these years after watching it is kinda crazy ngl
This is one of my most rewatched horror flim, and one of my favorite horror flims in general. Thanks for giving it more recognition!
One of my favorite movies from the 90s! Thank you so much for covering it!!
Tara Reid's chase scene is one of my favorite ones in all horror cinema, it's right there with Drew Barrymore's in "Scream" and Sarah Michelle's in "I Know What You Did Last Summer" 🪓 💀
"They watch as Brenda's body floats on, all right."
"I backed my car into a cop car the other day / Well, he just drove off, sometimes life's okay" - A* reference James!
