It is still solid for sure. I have had it for 8 months now and it is great. The cable management is excellent.

@@anbuzero367 I was just looking at mine. I do remember that you can put the extension on either side so I think it should work. You may want to dig into the online manual to make sure. I know that part of it is to remove the corner leg that is part of the original desk but I guess you would do that twice. Also, they have pretty fast chat support on their website. They may be able to confirm that for you quickly.

Is the monitor arm adjustable? I have the same desk & love it.
Yes. The arm is adjustable. The monitor can move around to the right spot. The arm is very nice since it also fits in the channel in the back of the desk and seems to disappear inside. I tried a few other arms and I couldn’t get them to fit.
Does the desk wobble at all? At the seam where the extension and desk connect, is there any deflection/sag ? Thanks
It does not wobble for me and stays flat, even at the seam. The key is to get it just right during install before screwing down the mechanism that locks the pieces together. Each side has to be the same height per the mechanisms that allow each leg to go up and down.
Nice video! When you purchased the extension did it already come with the megapad or did you purchase separately? If purchased separately, which size did you get? Specs call for extension to be about 63" but the megapad is only sold in 59" and 70" on the website.
Thanks! I had to add it all manually to my order. For the main desk, it did have a bundle for the magpad with the desk. But for the extension, I had to add it and add the magpad separately. This is from my order email:

I had to add it all manually to my order. For the main desk, it did have a bundle for the magpad with the desk. But for the extension, I had to add it and add the magpad separately. This is from my order email:

Hey love the video review on the SecretLab Magnus With the L-Shape Extension. I recently purchased this with the L-shape extension & I wanted to ask a question about it. I am in the final step of the assembly which is connecting the L-Shape extension to the magnus. I am confused because when I aligned them together & have to screw in the fasteners underneath the connecting bracket , I did it but when I move the L-shape extension ,it comes off . Which tells me that it isn’t connected to the magnus. Is it designed that way? Or what did I do wrong .I will really appreciate it if you can help me.

You have to tighten those two fasteners. That also means the bracket has to be lined up properly with the extension. You could also check if the two parts are flush or even and you can adjust the feet first. But when you tighten that bracket, it should hold them together.
@@techextranet Thank you for you reply, another question.I didn’t adjust the height for the legs to its lowest when I assembled it(step 2, page 7)because I thought they were at the lowest already, are they not at their lowest? Also how do you know that you aligned the Magnus & the L Shape Extension correctly so you can tighten the fasteners
@kevo-8500 it’s hard to say if they line up by default. The key is to visually make sure they line up. I just looked at mine and the full bracket is connected to the extension and then the large support bar of the main desk literally slides into the bracket. Here is a pic:

hey there, nice video, the desk looks great, I was looking at your PC and noticed your CPU doesn't have the CPU fans on the cooler, I have the same cooler as you, was the PC prebuilt like this or did you not add fans when you built it?
Thanks for checking but we for sure have one fan on the cpu cooler. It’s a custom build and we for sure put the fan on.
I’m trying to send you a link to a pic of it and I figured out why u can’t see it. The glare is horrible on the glass case. It blends in.

the magnus' height is adjustable, what about the extension? I wanna use the height adjustment, but if the extension isn't able to do the same I might have to go with 2 Magnus and would have to connect them together on 1 terminal. this'll be so much more expensive...
The manuals for both the desk and the l-shaped extension say this:
Height
29” / 735mm; Extendable by up to 0.8" / 20mm
So when I set my desk up, I adjusted the feet and used a level. But the desk seems to only be able to move .8 inches if that is enough for you.
@@techextranet yea I didn't pay attention. I was talking about the Magnus pro, but the extension is for the original Magnus only

We should have that shouldn’t we! My kids and I were in IKEA and they love all of the “gaming setups” for their rooms. I don’t even know if they are quite aware they can also get a steering wheel and pedals. Lol.

@@techextranet you can find a good desk for way less. It’s not about being cheap!
We had to put it in a spot where it had to look good and not crazy with wires. We love the cable management and are able to hide everything.
What other desks do you recommend? I know we are probably going to be buying a few IKEA Alex drawers with a countertop peice for another desk we need in our office and that is much cheaper for sure.
