Sorry for the late response. But thanks so much.
@@DIYGene yep, no problem!🙂
Very nice! Like the metal strapping with rivets! I used the metal strap, brass screws and the decorative washers on mine, but the options are endless! Wife says hello, she just loves your channel and content.
I'm getting me one of your hats!
Thats so cool! Please tell her hi for me. Also please let me know if you have any ideas or suggestions for upcoming videos. As always, thanks so much for watching.
@@DIYGene How about a Steampunk shop clock!
@@robertsutton5169 Oh I like that idea.
We need to see more shop cat.
He keeps trying to renegotiate his rates. And he wants top billing.
Once again great job Gene. The table looks absolutely fantastic. Just a bit of info on how you can make a better clamping surface on the top. You can take any two boards that will be glued together, turn the faces of the glue area up and hold them together as evenly as you can, then clamp them in a wood-holding vice. Take a hand plane and surface them together. It won't matter if they are not 90 deg. flat. When done you can fold them back in to glue them and the joint will not have a single gap. This is assuming you have the vice and the hand plane. I also try to get the grain pattern to match the best I can. One other thing I do is alternate the board's tree ring grain ends. This helps if the top decides to cup.
Hello Roy, Excellent advice! Thanks for sharing. This has been a really fun project. How are your projects coming along?
@DIY Gene Hi Gene. Haven't worked on a new project since the Bluetooth retro radio. We're headed to Scotland and Ireland in August, but I'm thinking I'll start a new woodworking project that I can finish up.
@@royeubanks639, Scotland and Ireland. Wow that sounds incredible. Have a great time.
That's great
Thank you. This was a really fun project.
🤗👍
Thanks Robert!
Wow very cool, as a non wood worker Im looking to try a living room set, any ideas for end tables that match this? I imagine without casters but similar fashion. Might be a good follow up video!
That’s a good idea. I would do a similar design with the cross buckles and maybe add a drawer. Thanks so much for watching.
Wow Gene, that is a beautiful table. Great workmanship & color scheme.
Thanks Deb, I was due to build something a little more substantial this time. As always thanks so much for watching.
У вас сильно трясется правая рука... Это плохо... Выздоравливайте.
I have what is called Essential Tremors. It’s not fun but I get by. Thank you for the concern. God bless.
Hey Gene! This is jj from prior, Having you screw troubles from an argument from before. Anyways I love the videos and think I'm gonna do your project. Blessings

"Promo SM" 😱
Sorry, I don't understand what that means.
Sometimes I seriously wish I lived in something wider than I do. I love the table. Just gotta figure out how to make something like that fit into a school bus. LOL!
You can customize anything! Thanks for watching Rick!
Ha, Gene you did it again, really cool looking with simple materials. Love it! Hugs from Belgium, Daniella.
Well Hello Daniella from Belgium! Great to hear from you. I hope all is well. This project was a really fun one. As always, thanks so much for watching.
This is a really cool piece!! It would look good in what my wife wants us to build...something called a Barndominium.
I love the concept of the barndominium.
Amazing another job well done. Looks great. And your right, you can never have too many clamps!
Thank you so much. This was a very gratifying project. And as always, thank you for watching.
Beautiful job.
Thanks. This is one of my favorites.
