Awesome work guys. I'm a retired Railway worker. I worked as a Customer Support Rep with assigned customers for CNR in Canada. I could sit and binge watch these all day. It is currently snowing outside right now and watching video of the Stevens past was a blast. Keep up the good work. You guys deserve an award for these videos, in my opinion they are the best ones on UA-cam, bar-non.

That shot at 24:10 coming up to Trinidad is fantastic. It really tells the scale of the gourge. Great presentation.

Thanks for the wonderful trips you provide. Trains & landscapes....the only way it could be better would be if I could be riding in the cab ❤. Thank you

Hi, from the UK. That was a fantastic presentation and very enjoyable to watch, thank you. As well as the Trains, I liked learning about the Geology and Geography of the Railroad, seeing the Townships and their reasons for existing, the Natural and Manmade History.
I recall years ago at my local Folk music club, an old guy who always used to perform the 'Grand Coulee Dam', by Woody Guthrie.

The tunnel dates to around 1902 when the original line through Trinidad was replaced with the current alignment. The cast date of 1940 in the tunnel portal is for when the tunnel was lined with concrete, as the original wood cribbing was getting tired, so says the GN document for the project. There was no realignment through here in 1940.

Thank you for pointing out the 1940-ish revisions to the route on the Trinidad Loop - I re-consulted my Google Earth mapping and noted the older elevated cuts and fills which I had missed during my recon a few years ago. Nicely done all around!

Relocation took place around 1902, not 1940.

Love the inclusion of the short lines with the classic emd power. You missed the old rusty dusty though. Otherwise, capital work as usual.

This route is not very busy, about one train every four hours (most flows thru the Columbia R Gorge), so it shows how hard you had to work to get all this!

The railroads must be quite willing to share itinerary data with you.

Thanks Aaron. Very lone some area! I got a question, at the end you mentioned that a tunnel was being flushed, what is that? I've never heard that term used before. Thanks!

I’ve watched a whole lot of your videos as a railfan. Your narration style is very professional and easy to listen to, but please make an effort to research and properly pronounce place names, etc.

I'd rather Aaron spends his time doing the railroad stuff than researching how to pronounce every small town in the West.
