Thanks for the video mate...I just watched it did the same setup as you on my makita 6408 and bam wham done. Now just to buy a new chuck.....Thanks for your help😊
I didn't do anything specifically to keep the chuck/motor from spinning, I just sharply hit the allen wrench that I had in the old chuck with a hammer and the old chuck came loose. I did have the drill clamped down to the bench so no energy from striking the allen wrench would be lost from the drill moving.

How did you keep your chuck/motor from spinning. I tried it and it just torque my motor, causing it to spin.
