      Steve doesn’t pay for bikes, so his opinion doesn’t actually matter. We paying customers for the most part feel like you are raping our wallets! 12k is not justifiable.

      @@asifitmatters1 Agreed. There is nothing independent about an opinion made during making an advertisement for a brand. What I don’t understand is the elitism and snobbery with this channel. The starting price for a great emtb is definitely NOT 3-4K as they would have you believe. They cater for probably less than 1% of buyers that would drop this kind of cash (let alone the people that would spend 10 grand plus).

    Amazing tech and looking forward to seeing Automatic combined with ABS. Perhaps the industry can develop and refine this type of tech to an affordable price before they move on to adaptive cruise control, lane assist, and crash detection. A little bit of tongue in cheek on that bit, but it would be great if this was affordable for the normal person.

    • @bradsanders6954
      @bradsanders6954 8 місяців тому

      I have a feeling that 8500 US would be "affordable" for a lower level version of this bike.
      I might be wrong though. 12K for a top level bike, at least.
      I like it though, it seems like a lot of E bikes will be on the market, lightly used by those who must up grade to the latest tech, and next year the newest tech will be even newer and more necessary. Every new E bike design, will be quickly out dated.
      ABS on motorcycles anyway, isnt really the thing in the dirt. It gets in the way of braking/sliding to corner.

    Thanks Steve I love your reviews.
    Help me out ... 2 quick answer questions
    1) Your fav part is that it is, "almost totally silent"... That is very high on my list of wants...But go over to one of my other favorite reviewers, TheLoanWolf says @7:45," The noise is quite loud...people will know you are riding an ebike".
    You both tested the same bike at the same location it appears from the backgrounds...So what's the truth on the noise? Quite or annoying loud is quite a difference of opinion for the same bike.
    2) Do you like this better than your Canyon Strive:ON CFR LTD?
    Given they have very similar geometry, I would love to see you do a comparison video between the two.
    Thanks!

    "The bike will get you into the right gear" ROFL so how will the bike know if I have been going downhill at 35km/h and then there is a steep punchy climb coming up? I will manually shift down before I get to the climb whereas the bike is going to have me in a high gear because I was going fast, downhill and then crunch my gears as it reacts to the sudden change in terrain. I can think of a couple of areas where this system will be handy such as just cruising along on a relaxed ride or using freeshift to change down manually while keeping the pedals level, but selling it as a proactive system that can somehow read the terrain ahead and put you in the correct gear is just false advertising.

    • @bradsanders6954

      90% of people dont want a manual. I would have to ride an auto shifting mt bike to see whats what....evidently they can be shifted manually also....Honda builds automatic trans motorcycles, they arent a huge hit, and have a zillion little parts in them to make it work.
