I am going to start this one today, 1.) Because this channel gives the most detailed and well shown instructions. 2.) Because I have been able to follow other patterns from this channel and successfully completed with no frogging. 3.) Because this channel owner always answers questions posted on her video's to help with any problems we might have. 4.) Because this is my favorite UA-cam channel to go to when I want to find a new project.
Thank you for such a nice comment :) I remember you from brioche video :) Thank you for coming back and try to knit one of my projects again! I really love this pattern, and I was thinking of knitting this one more time, and this time much bigger. Can I give you a couple suggestions? 1. please be careful about yarn over and decrease (K2TOG OR SSK), because if you forget yarnover, your stitch count will be less. If the other way around (you did yarnover but forgot to do K2TOG of SSK), your stitch count is more then it's supposed to be. So as I probably mentioned in the video, you should put the markers, so you know right away when you make a mistake. 2. Some people mentioned before that they had to do redo it because they made a big mistake, to avoid to redo it, use the security line (life line) every once a while, maybe once in every repeat or something to make sure. Anyway, thank you so very much for your kind comment! Good luck and Enjoy knitting!

Hello, when you knit the first 14 rows before doing the pattern, are you counting the cast on as a row? Cast on +13 rows knitted or is it cast on +14 knitted? Thank you!

@@BeginnersLUCKraft Yes I made the mistake on the yarn over. I found that out when I started over again. But its all good. Love this pattern. Always wanted to knit a heart blanket. I am now on my 2nd round started a 5 - 52. Lets see if I will finally get this blanket done. Thank you for your reply.
Hello ma’am, trust you are doing well. I made some glaring mistakes and had to start from scratch. You said you repeated the pattern (R5-R52) 3 times. So my first question is I first knit the entire set of rows and then repeat from R5 again till R52. Also I have 3 balls of wools 100g ca. 230 m Nm 2.3 ( am using 5mm needles I didn’t have a 4.5) I wanted to check if it would suffice or would I need more wool. Am making it for a child that’s 1 month old but I hope the blanket can be used upto 1 yr or so. Please do guide. (Also is there a way to reach out to you faster) I am truly enjoying knitting this pattern and for a beginner I am finding the same easy to comprehend as well. So many thanks to you!
Hello again :) Thank you for asking, I'm doing really well, ok, let me answer your questions. As I wrote it in my description box (did you copy a written pattern?) 1. R1 TO R52 --- 1 TIME 2. REP OF R5 TO R52 UNTIL YOUR DESIRE LENGTH // I DID 3 TIMES 3. R5 TO R28 --- 1 TIME 4. R53 TO R67 --- 1TIME You have to knit R1 to R52, 1 time. After that you repeat R5 to R52 as many as you want (I did 3 times), then R5 to R28 1 time, and to finish this project will be R53 to R67. I used 2 balls of yarn which 170g X 2 = 340g (12oz) - about 600m (630yards) Your yarn is 100g each which means 300g and 690m in total So It should be fine. And my blanket measurement is 29" X 27" = 74cm X 69cm 1 year old average height is about 29 to 30", so it would be ok as long as he/she does not cover from head to toe. This is my guess :) I don't have any children, so not quite sure... Good luck, and Enjoy Knitting!

Thank you for your comment :) That's really up to you. If you see my description box, there is an explanation for cast on. Here is the some of them. CAST ON: MULTIPLE OF 28+1: THIS IS JUST DESIGN I ADDED 8 STS EACH FOR BOTH SIDE OF BLANKET, SO MY CAST IS MULTIPLE OF 28 +1 +16 EXAMPLE # OF ONLY FOR DESIGN: 57, 85, 113, 141, 169 AND ADD FRAME STS AS MANY AS YOU WANT I MADE 129 - - - 113 + (8 + 8) = 129 The heart design itself, you need # for multiple of 28 + 1 But the most of people want to add a frame around the blanket, if so, you must add more stitches. There are some example #s above. If you don't understand this, please give me your measurement you want to knit, and your gauge. Also tell me how thick you want for your frame :) Good luck and Enjoy knitting!
Hi good morning from India! I didn’t think I would be messaging this soon. So on my R17 while I was about to purl. I realised that instead of 15 I have 14 knots :(( now I don’t know since when. So I am now starting my row 18. But I don’t know how to fix it. Is there a quicker and easier way to do so. Rest of it is absolutely fine. Thanks once again.
Hi did you count whole stitch count? Other rows are absolutely fine means your stitch count should be OK, another words, you made 1 st mistake somewhere, probably at the end of R16: After repeat, you must knit 15 sts such as K3, K2TOG, YO, K10. You probably forgot Yarn Over after K2TOG. Can you look at it carefully? You must have 1 hole before 10 knit sts. If so, on R17, you just create YO where YO should be, then you have to purl that YO st. It might be tough for you, but you can try.
Hello, thank you so much for teaching us how to make such a beautiful blanket. Since I am trying to learn (and quite a novice at it) if it’s ok can you please confirm if I have understood the instruction right So for R5 - K8 - P14- P13, K1, P14 (28) do this 3 times - P15 and K8. I would be really grateful if you could confirm the same. Thank you so much! Regards Surbhi P.S. Hope you are doing well and keeping safe!
Hello, thank you for your comment and question. At the first of all, I will answer your question. Yes you're right. My written pattern in my description box is only for design, another word exclude first & last 8 garter stitches. So here is details as follows; R5(WS): K8(GARTER, AKA FRAME) / P14, (P13, K1, P14)=THESE 28 STS ARE REPEAT UNTIL LAST 15 + 8 = 23 STS, THEN P15, K8(GARTER, AKA FRAME) Good Luck & Enjoy Knitting :) You stay safe too!

I’m confused you say 14 on one side and 15 on the other for the markers when it’s 129 stitches. Why doesn’t the count for those match the instructions?
Thank you for your comment and sorry to make you confused! Here is my answer for you My cast on was 129 First & Last 8 stitches, total of 16 stitches are for both ends frame which are garter stitch. Right after first 8 stitches, you have to take 14 stitches, and Just before last 8 stitches, you have to take 15 stitches. For now, here is the summery, 8 / 14 / ................... / 15/ 8 In between 14 and 15 which is ..................... part, you need to have stitch count for multiple of 28 which is the heart shape design So I did as followings 8 / 14 / 28 / 28 / 28 / 15 / 8 Again, both 8 stitches are outside frame. 14 & 15 are left half of heart design and right half of heart design. 14 + 15 = 29, there is 1 stitch more than 28, because for this type of repeat design, 1 stitch has to be added (You don't need to know this, but I explained, because you probably get confused later) Anyway, If you want to make your blanket bigger, you can add more multiple of 28 stitches in between 14 & 15. Example 8 / 14 / 28 / 28 / 28 / 28 / 28 / 28 / 15 / 8 = 213 stitches total I hope you understand this! If not, let me know what size you want to knit, I will help you :) Good luck and Enjoy knitting!

Thank you for your question. I just checked my chart, and R17 & R19 are both same, (WS) P15, (P7, K13, P18) for both R17 & R19. Because every odd # of row is for prep for next even row. EXAMPLE: for R17 is for prep row for R18. And every WS pattern creates the heart design. Good luck and Enjoy knitting!

So my first question is
I first knit the entire set of rows and then repeat from R5 again till R52.
As I wrote it in my description box (did you copy a written pattern?)
1. R1 TO R52 --- 1 TIME
2. REP OF R5 TO R52 UNTIL YOUR DESIRE LENGTH // I DID 3 TIMES
3. R5 TO R28 --- 1 TIME
4. R53 TO R67 --- 1TIME
You have to knit R1 to R52, 1 time. After that you repeat R5 to R52 as many as you want (I did 3 times), then R5 to R28 1 time, and to finish this project will be R53 to R67.
I used 2 balls of yarn which 170g X 2 = 340g (12oz) - about 600m (630yards)
Your yarn is 100g each which means 300g and 690m in total
So It should be fine.
And my blanket measurement is 29" X 27" = 74cm X 69cm
1 year old average height is about 29 to 30", so it would be ok as long as he/she does not cover from head to toe. This is my guess :) I don't have any children, so not quite sure...
Good luck, and Enjoy Knitting!
Beginner's LUCKraft thank you so much for prompt your replies. I truly appreciate your kind gesture. So a big thank you! I wish I could show you my progress. This video of yours came at the just the right time and has been a big help to me. If it’s ok I would be bothering you some

I can't see the Description for the pattern
How many stiches do I start with
Thank you for your comment :) That's really up to you. If you see my description box, there is an explanation for cast on. Here is the some of them.
CAST ON: MULTIPLE OF 28+1: THIS IS JUST DESIGN
I ADDED 8 STS EACH FOR BOTH SIDE OF BLANKET, SO MY CAST IS MULTIPLE OF 28 +1 +16
EXAMPLE # OF ONLY FOR DESIGN: 57, 85, 113, 141, 169
AND ADD FRAME STS AS MANY AS YOU WANT
I MADE 129 - - - 113 + (8 + 8) = 129
The heart design itself, you need # for multiple of 28 + 1
But the most of people want to add a frame around the blanket, if so, you must add more stitches.
There are some example #s above.
If you don't understand this, please give me your measurement you want to knit, and your gauge. Also tell me how thick you want for your frame :)
Good luck and Enjoy knitting!
I would be very happy if you could send me the pattern as it not very clear thank you 😊
I just uploaded it on my website → www.beginners-luckraft.com/free-pattern

Do u have written pattern besides this u wrote here?
Yes go to the description box, I wrote it there :) Enjoy Knitting
@@BeginnersLUCKraft ik but would rather a pattern
Are you talking about chart? If so, I don’t have one. I don’t have any website to upload my chart. I’m sorry
Hello, thank you so much for teaching us how to make such a beautiful blanket. Since I am trying to learn (and quite a novice at it) if it’s ok can you please confirm if I have understood the instruction right
So for R5 - K8 - P14- P13, K1, P14 (28) do this 3 times - P15 and K8. I would be really grateful if you could confirm the same. Thank you so much! Regards Surbhi
P.S. Hope you are doing well and keeping safe!
Hello, thank you for your comment and question. At the first of all, I will answer your question. Yes you're right. My written pattern in my description box is only for design, another word exclude first & last 8 garter stitches.
So here is details as follows;
R5(WS): K8(GARTER, AKA FRAME) / P14, (P13, K1, P14)=THESE 28 STS ARE REPEAT UNTIL LAST 15 + 8 = 23 STS, THEN P15, K8(GARTER, AKA FRAME)
Good Luck & Enjoy Knitting :) You stay safe too!
Thanks for your prompt reply.
Where do I find your written pattern please
In my description box :) Enjoy Knitting!

Can’t seem to print the text???
Are you using your computer? It seems like only computer which is desk top or laptop can make a copy my description. I found that you can't copy it from your cell phone or iPad. Do you know what I'm saying? I don't have any website, so this is the only way you can make a copy.
@@BeginnersLUCKraft that explains it. Thank you so much.
I’m confused you say 14 on one side and 15 on the other for the markers when it’s 129 stitches. Why doesn’t the count for those match the instructions?
Thank you for your comment and sorry to make you confused!
Here is my answer for you
My cast on was 129
First & Last 8 stitches, total of 16 stitches are for both ends frame which are garter stitch.
Right after first 8 stitches, you have to take 14 stitches, and Just before last 8 stitches, you have to take 15 stitches.
For now, here is the summery,
8 / 14 / ................... / 15/ 8
In between 14 and 15 which is ..................... part, you need to have stitch count for multiple of 28 which is the heart shape design
So I did as followings
8 / 14 / 28 / 28 / 28 / 15 / 8
Again, both 8 stitches are outside frame.
14 & 15 are left half of heart design and right half of heart design.
14 + 15 = 29, there is 1 stitch more than 28, because for this type of repeat design, 1 stitch has to be added (You don't need to know this, but I explained, because you probably get confused later)
Anyway, If you want to make your blanket bigger, you can add more multiple of 28 stitches in between 14 & 15.
Example
8 / 14 / 28 / 28 / 28 / 28 / 28 / 28 / 15 / 8 = 213 stitches total
I hope you understand this!
If not, let me know what size you want to knit, I will help you :)
Good luck and Enjoy knitting!
You say that you cast on 129 stitches. But if you are placing markers at 8, 14, 28, 28, 23, 15, 8. That is only 104 stitches I am so confused
Thank you for your comment :) OK, let me explain it to you.

@@BeginnersLUCKraft thank you so much for replying😊 I understand now. I don't know why I was thinking it was 8,14,28,28,23,15,8. My apologies.

Thank you for your comment
Row 17(WS) *(P7,K13,P8) P14. Row19(WS)* (P7,K13,P8)P14 or Row19 should be (P6,K15,P7) Please conform
