φανταστικός, I remember lemon chicken cooked at home when I was a kid (along with so many other Greek dishes). If I was only allowed one cuisine for the rest of my life it would certainly be Greek. Healthy and delicious. Akis you bring the food of the gods to your viewers and do it so beautifully. ❤
I’ve never heard chicken referred to as sexy so many times in one video, but I’m not gonna be able to call it anything else from now on. Make that sexy chicken, Akis!
I love Greek food and have many fond memories of visiting family for their chicken and lemon baked potatoes. I like the fact that you just give us the technique, and don't painstakingly record every lemon slice and chicken rub just to draw out your air time. (Do you get points for long drawn out videos?) So... I'm hoping to find those lemony roast potatoes on your channel :)
Basmati rice is the king of rice and it's my favorite ! Don't you rinse the rice before cooking it or it's not necessary if I bake it ? Looks super delicious ! 😋
You have to rinse the rise till water runs clear... Also, it becomes more fluffy and salt if you presoak the rice after rinsing in normal water for 10 - 15 mins...
Do you need to wash the rice before putting in the pan to cook it in the oven ???it’s great how straight forward you make these recipes aswell as healthy and as my brother says “clean eating”👌
I really like the recipe! but i optimized it cooking the rice apart with stock, lemon skins and the herbs and then frying it over a pan with a little olive oil, garlic and some salt and pepper. ~14-15 min total at the same time, cook the thighs on another pan with salt and pepper for ~10-12 min. Add lemon juice at discretion, i have left it out due to being rather expensive where i live and i was seeing it as the most expensive ingredient in the recipe. I bet its not as tasty but it would be tasty enough for less and in 1/4 of the time. Cheers on the recipe!
Glad to see your face again Akis. Of course you've been told many times before you have some sexy crystal light eyes. You know a lot of ladies watch your channel just to look at you sexy! They don't care what you cook or bake! LOL I know I don't either. Thanks for the upload. Χαίρομαι που είδα ξανά το πρόσωπό σου Άκη. Tried it last night and regrettably, the dish lacks any meaningful flavour as one of the folks mentioned below. Yes, I agree it looks delicious, which is why I tried it and it certainly is an easy cook. But the recipe needs a few more ingredients to make it taste delicious (eg pancetta or chorizo, onion, more herbs, maybe double strength chicken stock, etc). I will cook it again, but with extra ingredients to add flavour. Also need to consider whether one hour in the oven at 180C will overcook the chicken? Afterall, this is not a casserole and that temp is ok for the rice, but high and long for pieces of chicken. Depending on the size/thickness of your chicken pieces, you may want to precook the rice for 20+ minutes (and start it as you would a risotto, with wine, etc upfront) while the chicken is browning and then add the chicken plus juices to the rice. Suggest also using chicken marylands, although I see the thighs in the video have more meat as haven't been separated. I used two cups of stock per cup of rice and would also suggest more to provide more moisture.
I made this recipe with a few spins. After browning the chicken I quickly stir-fried the rice (basmati rice) and then added the chicken broth. I used half homemade and half canned. I ran out of my homemade. Proportion broth to the rice 1:2. I added more garlic and a little more lemon. I used the same amount of rosemary and oregano. I baked and served the dish in the same frying pan at 375F or about 185C. Otherwise, everything else was the same. I think adding a little white wine with the broth would add a nice point. I'll have to try that. My family has fallen in love with Greek food after attending our local Greek festivals. This particular chicken dish has become my go-to family company dinner. Keep on cooking.
I like it when he cook's Greek dishes in particular.
I love how he always uses the word sexy for food! Perfect application ❤️😍
Made this tonight with boneless chicken thighs. No bayleaves so extra rosemary and oregano. So very yum. Instant family favourite.
Food to die for! Not the _only_ Greek chicken/rice pilau that I’m in love with.
Thank you! This is my new favourite chicken recipe. Real comfort food!
I love Greek food so much ..
Sending love from Philippines 🇵🇭
Thank you. We love you too! 😘

Akis, what is the cookware that you baked the dish in called?
Hello Akis. Can you make this recipe using only the stove? I am living in an Asian country and it's hard to get the oven...
❤️❤️
Ημιτελής η συνταγή.
hi Akis, hi everyone, " food's looking
very good, ill have a plate", :)
Hey Akis, can we make this without oven?
Mr. Akis, wonderful recipe. Can I cook it on normal gas stove instead of oven?
Definitely.
How long do you keep the foil on top?
Can I use a rice cooker here instead of an oven?
😋
No sauce, no party. :-)
Indian people when they look at the rice, they will go "oh no oh no'🤣
Nice recipe nonetheless I will try it.
hai Akis can you make this with orzo insted of rice?
It has different cooking time.
Καλησπέρα μπράβο σου
Μπορω να χρησιμοποιησω "νυχακι" ?
Μπορείς!
i've noticed the switch to road salt.
I will make it this weekend but good LORD that organic chicken is going to cost me an arm and a leg again!
Don't buy organic, will still taste great.
How much chicken broth to rice?
There's a link for the recipe in the description

I want a seat at that table.
Does this work with long grain rice?
you can use any rice you like... on the plate add some strained greek yogurt
@@kyriakoskyriakos1100 i prefer the texture of long grain rice with Mediterranean cusines. Basmati Better with Asian.
What is traditional in Greece
Chicken kitchen😄😁😉

PS I use a nice frying pan that I can use on the table and a little rosemary can go a long way.
😂 chicken - kitchen 😅
Tried it tonight. Disappointing. Rosemary is too much and lemon.
Doesn't it need some gravy???
Made this recipe many times and I love it, just be aware that it is a looot of rice) but it is delicious so doesnt need any sauce.
😋
