    Boy, you made a believer out of me! I was sitting here trying to peel a dozen “fresh” eggs and after completely destroying two I thought, “there has to be a better way!” I found your video and after watching I thought, NO WAY can it be that simple!! Well folks, I’m here to tell you it works like a charm. Thank you SO much for sharing.

    Thank you, you brilliant, brilliant human beings lol! My husband's little cousin lives a few doors down and started his own little egg business. I over ordered and now I am drowning in eggs weekly but don't have the heart to lower my order lol. It's the day before Thanksgiving so I'm about to boil a bunch but they never would peel so thank you, thank you!!

    I've heard fresh eggs are harder because the film inside the shell is still connected tightly. Someone once told me another trick is to lightly crack fresh eggs before boiling them. Enough to crack shell but not the lining inside. Then the boiling process will help separate the shell making it easier to peel after

    Are the eggs at room temp when you add them to the boiling water? Or are they cold from the fridge? Or does that even matter?

    it has a hard time draining because the other is stopped up...that means you have a vent issue, check your vent through the roof, or the air admittance valve (studair vent) under the sink.

    I buy eggs all the time and never have an issue with peeling, however, my daughter bought Eggland eggs which I stopped buying because I always have a tough time peeling them. By the time I finished peeling them, they looked like I had taken a hammer to crack them open. I set out to find what to do since I’ve got 10 eggs left and refuse to spend so much time peeling and ending up with tiny egg shells while eating. I’m going to try your method to see how it works. Thanks for the tip.

    the baby is sooo excited...love it...Granma taught me how to use the spoon and I forgot that she added salt to the water...thank you for reminding me of that...I will put this in my book of skills i'm writing for my Granbabies (16, 14, 11)..we have been practicing water bath canning....but they know how to make laundry soap, dish soap, next we will try our hand at bath soap...

      Thank you...its going in their Hope chest I am having made for them...making memories with them...my 16 yr old and I were making Bumbleberry jam...and it didn't set...so we re-batched it by taking out the seeds by running it through a sieve and adding a little more pectin and it firmed up...she took some home and the neighborhood kids couldn't get enough of it for breakfast...but now she knows what to do if it doesn't set or firm up...

      Thank you...so much in this world is scary and when you starting out its tough and rough...but if you experience something before you get there...to me...you have a leg to stand on because of the knowledge you experienced before and can apply what you have learned and improve on it to fit you and your situation where ever you are...it was instilled in me by my parents and my granparents and great granparents...so I am doing that for them so they will at least have a fighting chance in this world in whatever they do...my husband has already gone home to be with Jesus but if he were here they would learn a lot about building things...like a house...I love that you include your kids on things and they are just as interested in what you are doing tooo... :)

    I had this problem with my fresh chicken eggs. It helps to add sea salt in the water than in a ice bath. During COVID-19 no place had eggs they where reviving eggs from house hold farmers in town at the store so almost all were Brown eggs some where light tinted blue or green from Easter eggers hens, but since this Covid-19 happened around Easter time I remember trying to dye brown eggs it never came out good. I found a way to turn the eggs white! U can use some vinegar in the water when brining you a boil and aftewards use vinegar in a cup and get a tooth brush and under running warm water start scrubbing! The brow and tan coloring shells will turn white! 😊

      Where do you live? They were selling eggs at the grocery store from local farmers? Was someone collecting them, or were they bringing them to the stores? We ran out of stuff at our stores, we are still out of stuff, but they weren't looking local to have it restocked that's for sure. Pretty cool.

    Would this method also work for soft boiled eggs (eggs that are only boiled on low for like 6 minutes)? I ask because i always love to make soft boiled ramen eggs, but they are so hard to peel especially since theyre much softer than eggs that are boiled for a longer amount of time

    Geeze! I buy eggs every Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter just to hard boil. 😅 I have an autistic 5 year old, and she can go on these long food binges where she'll only eat PB&Js or Ramen soups, or hotdogs breakfast, lunch, and dinner for a couple months at a time. We are currently about a month into a hard boiled egg binge. I boil, give or take a few, about a dozen eggs a day, and she eats about 4 for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and everyday I try my hardest to peel them, but I'm just throwing away half the whites that are stuck to the shell. Today I started to get so irritated I almost just went to the store to buy a thing of eggs. Here I am at 1:30am trying to figure out why you can't peel fresh hard boiled eggs, I asked my mom for advice, I even called my grandmother, like there has to be a trick! Now I'm kind of wondering if my grandmother was buying store eggs during Thanksgiving while I was growing up, because she said, "you just peel them, sometimes they stick, but just soak them in ice water and peel them." Like I was the weird one with the problem, and peeling fresh eggs is easy. I've tried salt, vinegar, baking soda, popping a whole in them, all of the "tricks" that don't work. Tonight I came across your video and a lady saying you have to steam fresh eggs to get "hard boiled" eggs. I will do 6 steamed and 6 spoon shelled tomorrow, and hopefully find a solution. 🙏🤞🤞🙏 thank you!

    15 minutes is WAAAAY to long to cook an egg! Adding salt increases the temp, too! Bud cut your cook time down to about 9 minutes and nix the salt.

    • @amandagreco2545
      @amandagreco2545 3 роки тому

      It’s not to long it’s only to long depending on how you. Ok then I heard recipes doing full unconverted out the egg in a pot prior before water gets warm and the warming plus boil plus steam at end takes time. I also seen the faster method which only seems faster dude to the wait period where people add the salt and wait until the water is boiling first than cook for 3-4 minutes during boil than turn off heat and cover for 3 more minutes. But this method although no faster is still easier to do where u don’t mess up cause the fast way leaves more room for errors. You have to walk before you can run
