Two things I'll always remember when i first played world at war 1) the footage of certain events during the cutscenes in the war there's one in particular that shows a guy literally getting shot right in front of our eyes to show us how brutal ww2 was, rather than make it seem like a movie straight out of Hollywood. 2) after finishing the game and you unlock zombie mode that always terrified me as a kid
That is actually one of its weaknesses. The first mission you are in Stalingrad, the next you are in Seelow Heights, right outside Berlin. Basically skipped three years.
@@revbladez5773 a long period of time went by between the night raid mission and the invasion on peleliu also...? The Russian campaign is centered on the end of the war with the stalingrad mission being how they met and bonded. I just don't get how that's bad.

I still have notifications on for you guys but I haven’t watched for a while so I got a lot to catch up on but I’m so glad you’re growing and the channel has 40k subs now and more congrats
It's easily got the best OST in the series, perfectly representing some of the themes that the game aimed to explore, particularly the more electronic and metal tunes, that of an aggressive "war machine". Atmospheric and intense.
Another fantastic classic review, beautifully edited & concise commentary! This is one of my Top 3 favorite "COD" games, intense, gritty & hard core in it's nature & and delivery. I love this game!
About the multiplayer issue: the game is basically sold as a single player title now as Activision has officially disabled the creation of new online profiles. Only people who have bought the game before 2021 can play multiplayer. Other 7th gen CoD games (Black Ops, Modern Warfare 2, etc) also are sold as single player only games now because the multiplayer is full of security flaws and risks that Activision can't be bothered to fix. Just use Plutonium or the X clients to play these games in multiplayer today, it actually works and is way safer.
@@Tyranniodthe consoles will not allow you to progress online if your account was made after to the date listed, but otherwise most of the older titles are still playable on multiplayer on the PS3. I’m playing Black Ops zombies and MW3 survival mode.
While Black Cats is awsome, one thing I think Big Red One's plane mission did better is letting you walk between the turrets yourself, giving you a better look at the plane's interior.
Didn't even mention that fucking Keifer Sutherland and Gary fucking Oldman are voice actors in this game?! For shame GP! All kidding aside, I LOVED Gary Oldman in this, especially knowing how good he is at playing "foreign" roles so to speak and doing accents, even if they aren't you know, accurate lol Though some of his one liners got kinda old in the MP.
I own the physical PC copy and I still have the CD key. So basically, multiplayer is still working. But if you buy it legitimately on Steam, do you not get a CD key? I also have two copies of Modern Warfare 4 because I bought them on sale for $8 in Thailand 14 years ago. Buying things digitally makes me wonder how all of these games will be able to be played 10 years from now.
"Buying things digitally..." Well, if it's a popular game, it might get the remake/remaster treatment. Unfortunately, not all make the transition unscathed. Just think of Warcraft 3 Reforged 🤮or GTA trilogy Definitive Edition 💩
Imo I really like the default skins more than the specialized operators There are some good operator skins, but I prefer being a nameless grunt in multiplayer games
Really think this is one of the last if not the last true historically acurrate ww2 shooters. Such a true representation of ww2? I think so. Aggression, sounds and how the game play legit makes you feel like you're in the pacific theater.
The best world war 2 game ever made. The atmosphere, brutal campaign, zombies, etc were all so fucking good. The intro still gives me such a nostalgia boner. Barring mw3, this is definitely my least favorite of the golden age cods but still love it. MW1-2, WaW, and Bo1-2 were truly something else. What a time to be alive on the ps3/360 with these games back then.
Man, wish you did tried the multiplayer and coop for this one! People have been trying ways to play it online again using launchers like Plutonium which did work last time I tried it.
CoD 5 WaW is great, but CoD 1 + UO and CoD 2 have the Best campaigns, sound and action. The Best thing CoD 5 WaW has is the addition of the Pacific theatre
The lack of keys for multiplayer was an issue before (7+ years ago depending on what you read), and I had bought the game for pc roughly 3 years ago. The multiplayer is finicky, but worth the tinkering. I had to use Hamachi to connect to my friends' game to play. It wouldn't connect.
You finally came back, To the borders of your fatherland, Now enemies came, Traitors everywhere at hand, Many people who had fought and died knowing that they had to win, Well yet still it sickens my heart to see the picture of the red flag in Berlin. 😡
As for the issues mentioned around 9 mins in about not being able to create an online account, This is because the 3rd party hosting for the account creation has been shut down since around 2019, meaning that unless you are able to access an account that existed before the shutdown, you can't play online

The russian campaign in waw was amazing from the battle of stalingrad to berlin it felt like a journey. Loved the soundtrack to

The last CoD to really make it feel like you were a small part of a much, much larger war.
I really liked the gritty realistic feel of WAW, we need more games like this.
That brief moment where we see people being buried alive, my dad was with me when I first started up the game and we both uttered an "oh my god" World at War isn't just a ww2 shooter, it's a ww2 horror shooter
That buried alive clip always stuck with me.
Nazi zombies felt like the biggest thing when it came out. Everyone was playing it.

Great game. Recently started playing it on Series X. This game still feels great to play.
1:10 world at war was also realesed for playstation 2 called Call of Duty: World at War - Final Fronts
This is the greatest world war II game ever made and I will die on that hill
My favorite CoD game although it's not saying much as the last game I played in the series was Ghost.
The best cod game in my opinion
I played through the campaign with my son on the PS3. It was alot of fun.

@Jgamer930 One of my favorite performances in the entire series.
This channel and 21kiloton are so underrated.
my favorite CoD to this day!

I'm assuming that this is leading up to a review of Black Ops 1 and I'm all here for knowing what you think of that classic 👀🔥

plutonium t4. works for online and lan mode. its a third party launcher that negates the cd key problem
The grenade spam on veteran was so fun in co op. It was such bs lol
These are the same devs who made Quantum of Solace and the Spider-Man games of the Raimi trilogy.
This game is pure violence 🔥
When you shoot the guy in the shoulder and his legs fall off 😂. Brutal and hilarious at the same time.

Best campaign in the entire COD series, get at me.
The best CoD
Best...game...ever!
WAW remake would be lit!
Yes!

Solid game
Still my fav CoD. IMO it went downhill from here.
Black ops is awesome too.
Grenade dodger simulator
Keep it da fuck up ma nizzle!
My favorite game. The best CoD. The best multiplayer. The best WW2 game. Ever!
