    Forgot to mention the security features like when the scooter is stolen. After the stolen scooter is reported and the thief uses the swapping station, the swapping station will detect the battery of the stolen scooter and will automatically disable the scooter. Not sure how but probably the station will not release a new pair of batteries for the stolen scooter.

    That's a great idea. It will have to be priced low so delivery drivers can earn a living. I like the idea that the scooter platform is being used by multiple companies so that further reduces production costs.

    I've watching Yulu closely, and they've started renting spaces in Delhi for battery swapping centres. This is definitely the future. I think we'll have cloud swapping centres catering to multiple brands, just like cloud kitchens. Some for the smaller batteries, and then some centres for the bigger batteries.

    Very informative video. But isn't the expected delivery date around November 2023? How come you say it'll take 2-3 years?

      spoke to the company, their timeline is 2 years - could change depending on market conditions but i’m guessing 2 years will be needed to get the minimum number of swap stations in place

    What if the swap station has all the battery slots full ? Does it give two battery first and then allow you to put in the empty batteries ?

      it can never be full, there’s always two empty slots. you put in two batteries in those slots and two charged ones come out, the cycle continues

    Gogoro is not a plug in vehicle. Only way to charge it vie doing swap. It is going to make you under their control totally. And i don't like concept of lock-in eco system

      Other manufacturers can choose to use Gogoro battery swap standard just like how major automakers in the US have announced that they will support Tesla plug

      @@carswithkaran just look at their plans in Taiwan then only you can understand how bad lock-in can be. They will control how many kilometres you can ride. And electricity prices are also on them to decide what they going to charge. Atleast with plug-in i can charge in my home on my unit charge.

    For India, just swapping would not be the ideal game.... India is so wide and large , it's impossible for any scale of company to implement swapping that would be useful for everyone. Ideal approach would be swap+charge.

    There have been many concepts of self charging which were shelved by general motors in the nineties right up to early 2000..its a question of profit..we have the tech for self charging while driving..

      this is a bummer. I just watched a taiwan resident's youtube video about empty swap&go stations because of a weekend event or holiday when unfortunately a lot of gogoro owners have to swap at the same time. This could be a problem if there are so many gogoro owners in your area.

      the batteries are locked in so you can’t pull em out with force
      the screen on the station, sure that can be broken
      i’d rather they make the infrastructure convenient for the 90% of good people rather than make it idiot proof and cumbersome because of the other 10

    Swapping station is not practical for huge customer base in India.. What will happen when all charges batyeries r exchanged and ppl will still b stNing for charhed batteries

    आईएम जोमैटो राइडर मैने गोला लिया है आधा टाइम तो चार्जिन में चले जाता है.... गोला के चार्गिन चालू ही नहीं रहते.... 100000 स्कूटर में 1 चार्जिंग स्टेशन है...... @गोला मैनेजमेंट टीम सुधर जाओ... नहीं तो आगे चलकर @गोगोरो की बादसत होगी इंडिया में भी...सर्विस पर ज्यादा ध्यान दो सेल्स सर्विस सेल्स सर्विस पर कम .... यूरोप में चलाकर 180 रेंज मिला इनको.....100 देती गोला... क्वालिटी तो थर्ड क्लास छोटे से गड्ढे में भी इतनी आवाज करती है

    Taiwan is a small population country.. india is the world populated country. It's impractical to hv battery swapping logistics for huge population
