i agree with epiphany being on this list! many people wouldnt rank it this high but i believe it is one of bts' most powerful songs. also, singing, "im the one i should love in this world" w/ hundreds of other people in a stadium is such an emotional & beautiful moment to experience

Maybe even Jin himself didn't realize about how "Epiphany" give so much strength to a lot of people. This track is so powerful. It can make people who doubt about themself, at ease. Maybe the high notes give the best encouragement? Lol.
I became Army because of Jin🥰 I saw him in Law of the Jungle and his personality make me dive into BTS, I know them back then but I’m not into kpop because I’m more into kdrama and the song that make me really into BTS is Epiphany .
He must know. People sing the full lyrics and cry with him in concert, it's very obvious it's a song that touches people's hearts.
Basically I started listening to BTS because of heartbeat...but, epiphany made me army, and since then jin is my bias, this song made me stand still with my choices, whatever I do in my life, its only me who is responsible for all of my steps, & the strength I gain from it, helped me to say good bye to my one and only relationship, I feel more free, more loved now...even I'm gonna ink epiphany on my body, cuz this song is this much special to me. Jinnie I purple you 💜
I too get emotional listening to Spring day, epiphany and abyss. We all love Jin's high vocals but when he sings in low vocals which is his voice it gives me goosebumps. Sheer clarity and full of emotions. Also, there's no denying that all their songs convey deep emotions.❤️

Great to hear another professional critic regconizing Seokjin's amazing talent. Seokjin sings with his heart , you hear and feel his emotion in Epiphany, Awake ,Tonight and Abyss, all with stunning vocal control.

Epiphany is honestly one of my favourite songs ever. There's a kind of intimacy and warmth the song provides that's so unique and comforting. The vocals are stunning and the emotion in them always makes me want to cry. In a good way.
And I LOVE how Seokjin is truly the embodiment of this song. The song and its singer are both so beautiful!
Epiphany is beyond kpop. The message it holds everything comes from the main inspiration Kim Seokjin. His vocals were powerful and he epitomised the emotions real good in live stages. His voice has a true strength to move people's heart.

Mad not mad about his selections. All of the songs I enjoy a lot. What really made me pay attention to this is what he said about Jin vocals. I agree. I think he does makes everyone sound. Better and that is a rare gift. I love Jin’s vocals.

Epiphany is the first song ever in my life that made me cry becuz me making myself suffer and limit my happiness. This song has moved me and made me realize that i can love myself more and myself is more precious than anyting. The first song I heard from them was "Boy With Luv" but it didn't have much impact on me. I just got curious why they are popular back then and tried to listen to their songs in Spotify. Then, I just happened to bump into "Epiphany", I dont have any idea what was the song about but it made me emotional. And the rest was HISTORY 😂

When I first heard Epiphany I was literally crying. It took atleast 10 times of listening to it repeatedly before Im able to control my emotions and not cry

I'm still kind of new to BTS (just got into them in Spring of 2020), but I feel like when people try to theorize as to the success of BTS, sometimes they overlook this simple observation - that they have a stellar discography. All the social media savvy, clever MVs/storylines, etc. don't matter a bit if the songs aren't good. They have great songwriters in the group as well as a fantastic team behind them. Anyway, this was a fascinating video, I loved hearing Do Hoen's Top 5 and his reasoning for each song. I would agree with all of them except for Dynamite ;) Although he gave very good reasons as to his ranking it so highly.

Mad respect that he can actually pick 5 songs! I listen to them on daily basis from their debute EP to the latest and still couldnt decide which songs on my top 10 list.
I love how bts cover most genre , or members have their own songs and i never get bored of listening to their music. So I listen to their music all day long.

But in my personal opinion ,I don't think fans who only love about personality rather than music are the core of this dedicated fandom. Of course all the fans love their personality,who doesn't ? I became an army when the fandom was so small we couldn’t even stream their MV to a million views. The main reason was because of their music, and yes that was when they had only one album. And stayed for their personalities and everything else.
Epiphany is one of the song that made me very emotional, i cried and that is quite rare when i hear i song

Omg i am so happy that blood sweat and tears was included. That song turned me into a bts fan and into kpop as a whole. i used to not like kpop but that song tempted me. The lyrics, the beat, the melody, the theme, the choreography, and the symbolisms.. a masterpiece

For me "Danger" will always be number 1 because that is when I was introduced to BTS. "Blood, Sweat, and Tears" is a close second.
Yes! I'm a newer fan but Danger is still my favorite title track/lead single of theirs.
Me too, I became fan of them after their performance of rise of bangtan, danger and all in Kcon usa 2014. Their energy on stage was unmatched, too cool.

I am more than happy to know that epiphany was chosen as one of the best 5 of BTS discography by someone who knows about music. I think epiphany is the very best example of song with optimum harmony between meaning of lyrics and the vocals. It is a life changing song which addresses one of the most fundamental but frequently neglected concept of self love. You literally can feel the heart aching emotions while listening to the vocals of Jin. I use this song to make myself remind to love myself after exhausting days. Life was not easy during pandemic specially as a front liner. I may have listened to the song many hundred times to alleviate the helplessness I have felt with all the struggles I have faced. I love this song and absolutely grateful for its' existence. Thank you very much for this episode. I absolutely enjoyed myself.

It's just a wonder Epiphany is not as popular as it should be. That feeling when Jin sing, "I'm the one I should live in this world...". Honestly, I laugh the first i heard it, because that's just so Jin to sing it, but when anxiety and depression got to me deep in night, that part hits me and helps me the same time.

Actually, BTS songs are really good. It doesn't limit to just good melody or choreography. The lyrics are relatable and makes one feel nostalgic. Example is 'Tomorrow'. Suga's worries about his future when he was in his early 20's speaks to everyone.

Although Tae is my bias, Jin's solos are my favourite bcs those songs are just so so beautiful vocal wise, lyrics wise and melody wise. And most of his songs address topics like self struggle (eg:awake, abyss) and loving one's self (epiphany). They all provide comfort and healing. Even "Moon" is one of my all time favourites because I had never thought of that way about moon (we have many songs admiring moon but not a moon admiring the earth) which was a very fresh concept.His vocals suit the songs nicely and Jin is really stable during live performances which is another plus point. At the end of the day, more than looks or anything else it is BTS discography and their personalities which make them phenomenal and exceptional💜

It was bittersweet and very emotional for Jin when he performed Epiphany for the last time in a long while at their concert. He knew it would be one of the last times and got very emotional. I know the song meant a lot to him too.

It's hard to choose top 5. I was expecting Black Swan, Idol and On to be on the list. But each one of Critik's choices makes complete sense. Queen Spring Day is queen for a reason. It's a very heavy, meaningful song that is easy on the ears. No complains from me.

Yess! This was the first time I related to him so much. Idk for some reason I felt like he overlooked a lot of BTS' accomplishment and success, but this time he showed a calmer, more understanding and reflective side. I loved it, hope to see more of it!

I agree with epiphany, I love this song so much, the lyrics have a strong message, I know jin didn't write it but his voice and delivery were filled with raw emotions that pierces through your heart, you can’t help but cry..his voice is so powerful.
I'm glad that spring day and BST are on the list because they are my favorite songs and MV too. but I don't agree with dynamite.
I would just replace Dynamite with Black swan. But the critic is also right in saying Dynamite holds a very important place in BTS's discography.

I know 😥 Personally I never play it at ALL after their comeback promotion period. Important to note, he was ranking not just based on musicality but also I guess overall impact on gp in Korea/internationally, chart ranking etc. I know lots of non-Army that still groove to this so I guess it deserves its top 5 spot. The others on his list are all part of my top 10 favs 😊 Spring Day was what caught my eye to dig deeper during their BWL era 2019 turned me into Army 💜

I don’t agree with Dynamite but i do recognize about what it represents and how it - along with Butter (and now PTD) became the “missing links” in solidifying their presence in US market. It also helped reel in more fans internationally.
