And after seeing MANY reviews (this is the best review and tutorial so far btw) I think the amount of money this costs is VERY worth it. It’s honestly better than flip a clip as well. @@zooble_. I think they just meant Procreate isn't very suited for animating. It can handle only a very small number of frames. That's why I changed apps as well :D

I’ve used RoughAnimator for over a year now, and it really is great. It has its issues, but it worked for me before I had a display tablet. There weren’t many tutorials though, but I’m glad more are starting to show up. Idk how your brush is so smooth and not laggy though haha😉
@@THUNGUNS I’m sure they’ve been addressed since the last time I used it (start of 2020), but the brushes would be a bit laggy when using a 1920x1080 canvas size. It would also crash when I tried playing my animation back sometimes if it was a longer video. That was two years ago though, and now the app is much more stable (I tried it again a good while later and it was much quicker and more responsive).

My questions: -how can i delete frames. -how do i keep photos ive added on separate frames -how to select multiple times with the lasso tool, instead of having to select and then do the tedious work of having to go back everytime to remove more.
I’m actually using them together now. I draw in Procreate and bring it to Roughanimator for final animating. I just wish Roughanimator could import APNG (animated PNG) but it can only import regular PNGs.
Great tutorial! I got this app recently, so this will be very useful! I would love to see your reaction to the procreate update when it comes out, since they are going to introduce a timeline function as well!
Wow I didn’t know how many cool features this app had! I’ve been dabbling with another app called Flipaclip but it doesn’t seem to have as much features and flexibility as Rough Animator. I’m thinking I might switch over - if you tried FlipaClip, what are your thoughts on it?
Hannah Bernal I personally don’t like it you have to pay for most of the features and rough animator you just have to make a single purchase. Also FlipaClip as horrible rendering the animations are sooo pixely

Anyways, I'm looking forward to downloading rough animator, seems better. Also, it does good quality on flipa clip for me. Mabye you have an old phone? Anyways, bye.

i do like this app and i get back to it from time to time, but honestly the brush set is so poor you can hardly make a good quality pictures. also, whenever you try to import a video or a png sequence it gets few times warse than the original quality (looks same bad after export).. so the name says it all: it's for rough sketches and not for a finished work however the app concept is still the best i've seen so far. it's a truly simple and friendly tool that gives you joy of drawing your animations pieces. i would honeslty be happy to invest into further development of rough animator as it needs so few (still essential) details to become the best one on the market
Tando They’re coming out with a new version soon, I think, apparently it adds a whole bunch of new features and onion skin for animating, I mean hallelujah
The antialiasing thing is a setting in Preferences. Something about half resolution on inactive layers
