    Lovely to see Penlee! Spent a lot of my childhood there! Do you remember Hedley? He was my grandfather. Sadly passed in 1993. Great videos Peter as always xx

      Thank you very much. I'm sorry, but I never met your Grandfather Hedley, our paths never crossed. Sorry to hear that he passed in 1993. It was one of those jobs where some people you met regularly, and others, never. Thanks again and stay safe.

    Once again a brilliant insight. As someone else said these videos are very calming! Its nice to relax and go back in history.
    Id be very interested to know how they built the Eddystone, it looks like it wouldn't have been easy.
    I remember Fraglge Rock, it was also the name given by pilots to the Isle Of man by pilots after the series :)

      Thank you for your very kind words, much appreciated. If you can find an old book called "The red rocks of eddystone" by Fred Majdalany, It is brilliant for how they built the said lighthouse. My copy doesn't seem to have an isbn number and is dated 1959. Cheers and stay safe

    Is John Ellis still with us today?

      Thank you very much. I really don't know if John is still with us. Since leaving the service, the jungle drums aren't as good as they used to be in getting information. Cheers and stay safe.

    Another nice job! I noticed the feminine touch at 12:02, anybody I know? All the 'weight' tubes are always the same color green. I bet TH has a name for that shade of green.

    • @PeterHalil
      @PeterHalil  Рік тому +2

      Sorry. I don't know who she was Ha. As for the green paint, we always knew it as Trinity green. One of my PK's had his own house doors and windows done in Trinity Green, and his neighbour, who just happened to work on the railways, had similar in railway brown. Cheers and stay safe

      @@PeterHalil Trinity Green! Of course, that made me smile. I know shipmates that liked grey trucks and one put a yard arm in his front yard, that's a bit much for me.
