Thank you so much Megan. The mica suppliers I use and mention in the video are great. I always use at a rate of 1 teaspoon per pound of oils (454g for me) and disperse in oil 1st, seems to always give a good result for me. Thank you for leaving me a comment, stay safe and well.

I can not believe you are a relatively new soaper ( I believe I heard you mention that). I think you are amazing and I can only imagine what brilliant creations you come up with years to come.
Thank you, another great video with good explaination and lovely soap, much appreciated us hobbyist soaper wanting to try out the technique . Stay safe to you and your family and thank once again.
Your an amazing teacher. I've been watching a lot of soap making videos, in hopes of getting a better understanding of how I need to break down the volume of oils and lye. I've used the melt and pour, and it went well, but I'd really like to try the cold process method. It's seemed a bit scary at first. You make it seem alot more achievable. Thank you so much. I have to say you have an exceptional talent for making the soap do what you want. I love the waves, and the one with the cat. Also the Edvard Munch?( I think that was his name.) That soap was pure art. So well done. I sure hope we'll see more of your soap on here ♥️♥️. You can bet I hit the subscribe and notification button for sure. And I'm sharing you with everyone.😉 You are awesome lady! PS : The Ghost swirl was beautiful too!!😊
AW Danielle, thank you so much, you are so lovely. I'm so pleased you like my videos (and soaps of course). I've been wanting to do this technique but never sure how to achieve it. This would be absolutely perfect for my Michigan and nature themes. Your video is amazing! Thank you! So informative. Always gonna say it...soap goals!!
WOWZA! This so beautiful! I've planned on making an ocean & pearl themed soap for June using the drop swirl technique- after watching your video, I may have to try the pointy layers technique instead! You gave very clear details on how you've done it; thank you!
This is the second video I watched on your channel and decided two’s enough for one time. (It’s so hard to stop watching 😅) Trying to tryout the technique would be much fun. Thank you for all the details and have a wonderful weekend.
AW Ellen, thank you so much for the lovely comment, so pleased you like my video, hopefully you can ration your way through the rest of them :-) I hope you do try it, it's such a fun technique.
Thank you so much for your lovely comment. I do find the regulations tricky and sometimes it's like a little puzzle to work out what you can do. Not all of my soaps are inside the regulations, just because I may have a different colour choice than my assessments allow (typically the ones I do for the soap challenges) but those I only make 'for fun' and give to friends and family.
Thank you so much for your lovely comment Lillian and thank you for taking the time to leave a comment, I really appreciate it as it helps my channel to grow.
I am a new subscriber and saw this video. I am also new to soaping, actually watching lots of videos to get me to figure out what I would like to try first. Thank you for explaining as well as showing how to do it.. your channel is awesome. This soap is beautiful.❤️
Thank you so much Sandra and welcome to my channel, it's so lovely to have you as a subscriber. Feel free to ask any questions and I will try to answer them if I can :-)
Tree Marie Soaps here in the states started the pointy layers. I really like that you have the sea layers colored correctly in that the white caps are on top were in real life they are! Great job on the soap. Thanks for sharing.
Hi, thanks for your comment. Actually though although Teri named the technique and made it popular she didn't invent it. There were a number of people already doing it, they just hadn't called it anything, several from Japan. For example with this video ua-cam.com/video/K0XyhzI4LQM/v-deo.html. Please don't feel I have anything against Teri, I don't I love her work and think she is brilliant and as you will have seen I referenced to her in my video. She certainly did bring it to the attention of many, made an excellent video and before that taught the technique to the soap challenge club, but the technique was around before she did this. I'm no way implying that she copied anyone as she came across the technique by accident through being impatient whilst doing a layer pour and pouring too early, so she did find out about it by her own trial and error, but others were already doing it. Best wishes, I hope you don't take this as a negative as it is not intended that way. I hope you and your family are staying safe and well.
You should try it, it's such a fun technique and one of those that it's really exciting when you cut. Thank you for leaving me another comment, I do appreciate it :-)
hey that's brilliant, so pleased you find the math bit useful, I always worry a bit about putting things like that in, but I guess people can always fast forward. Thank you for your kind comment :-)
I Dream In Soap exactly! “Feel free to hot that forward button” 😉 I don’t have a neat spatula like you for my squeeze bottles so I actually line mine with a sandwich baggy. Just pull out and viola! Clean.

Aw thanks Karen, that's so lovely of you to say, so pleased you liked the soaps, the 'Seasons' one I made thinking 'Ah, ha all those people saying soap is too pretty to use, this soap will cause a dilemma, if you don't use it you won't see the effect. Can't wait to see the video :-)
Hi Lisa, thank you so much again for such detail sharing!!! It inspired me again. These soaps are sooooo beautiful!!!! Great work!!!! Take care as Coronavirus is spread around the world. ❤️
Hi I saw Karen of Eden Secret review some of your soaps & I was blown away . I love your soaps this video was pleasant to watch. You explain the maths of soap really well. Thanks 💜
Hey Cynthia, welcome to my channel, I'm so pleased you came over and you like my soaps. Thank you for your lovely comment. I love Karen and was so pleased she was happy to review my soaps.
Wish me luck! I live on the beautiful Lake Macquarie just north of Sydney Australia and sailing is a major thing here. I’m making this style of soap this week and calling it “old Salty”. Fingers crossed it looks as lovely as yours. Thank you for all you share. You are inspirational
Lisa, wow, another incredible video with such detailed directions! Well done! I have to try this as now I will have more time. Due to CoVid, our festival planned in May has been cancelled/post-poned and my 1000 soap bars for that festival are on hold. At last count, I had 624, expecting this weekend to crank out another 100-150. But, people at work are buying the soaps as hand washing with soap aids in rupturing the fat capsule of Co-Vid and killing it. One thing I have learned and thank you, is I like how you wait to add your fragrances to your split batters. I have started to do that and find that it helps in my multi-pour color in preventing thickening of the batter. Take care and thanks again Lisa!
Thank you so much Peter, yes it is a worrying time at the moment, make sure you stay safe. With the fragrance, yes it's always the last thing I add, so I do tend to measure and split it to keep my batter as fluid as possible.
Thank you so much for your lovely comment Jill, and thank you for taking the time to leave a comment, I really appreciate it as it helps my channel to grow :-)
I love anything ocean ..I love the waves you did in this soap..I like how you make soap samples for the color of the colourant for end result..I need to try this because I never know what colours look like in soap in the end
I LOVED IT! I have a nautical fragrance and it's just been sitting around. I knew I wanted to do a sea theme but couldn't figure out the math. So thank you for that. It will be my first time doing a sea/nautical theme & I'm excited to do it. Lots of time now that we are homebound! Thanks again for a beautiful soap. P.s. Your accent makes me laugh because you remind me of Tracy Ullman! :0). She's brilliant with comedy as you are brilliant with soap. Cheers!
Thank you so much Gwen, ooh I hope you do give it a go, it's such a fun technique and definitely one of those where the cut is really exciting. Glad my accent gives you a giggle too , we all need cheering up at the moment :-)
I love your talent and skill in making soap. You definitely have a creative spirit. One question often soap makers reference recipes using "weight of oil". My recipe has 32 ounces of oil, but the entire recipe adds another pound of water and lye. So its total weight is 48 oz. or 3 lbs. So when you say to add color of 1 teaspoon per pound of oil do I use the 2 # oil weight or the 3 # total weight?
Hi Sue. I always work with just the oil weight. This is for fragrance and colour, you should ignore the water as most of that is lost during the cure, so you want to consider what you will be left with, especially for things that have a safe usage rate like fragrance oils
Your soap is very pretty and I really love it! One question is how to make the layer of your green wave that such below the sky so vivid and obvious When I saw you made the wave during pouring colors, the plastic bottle not placed high, the effect is also could be achieved! How is the technique to make it?
I start adding the white soap at the end of the pour so that it just tops the wave. I pour it into the last bit of soap in the jug before I complete the pour for that layer
Thank you once again for your great detail in your soap making. Your batter is lovely and fluid and for some reason mine is going thick on me. Are you willing to share the % of you recipe? Thank you again for your detain instructions and explanation.
Hi Christine. Thank you so much, unfortunately I don't really want to openly post my recipe as it's taken me a lot of time and testing to get it just right. I try to share lots and lots of things to help people out. I'm more than happy to help you troubleshoot your recipe though and maybe your technique to see if we can get something that works for you if that would help you at all.
Beautiful, as always! Thank you for sharing so much information on how you do everything! I love this technique and will definitely be trying soon. Also, the tip to avoid burping colors in squeeze bottles was interesting. Do you have any tips on getting the soap batter out of the tip when washing up?
Thank you so much, so pleased you find the videos useful, ooooh do have a go, i's such fun. For squeeze bottles I have some tiny brushes almost like pipe cleaners that I use, even things like those brushes they make to clean out reusable straws, they all work well
@@soapfistication I think you can get whole packs of the pretty cheap, I've got a set like this all small but a variety of sizes, good for piping tips etc as well (UK link but sure you can get similar) www.amazon.co.uk/Vicloon-Cleaning-Brushes-Cleaner-Glasses/dp/B01MFHGGAP/ref=sr_1_7?dchild=1&keywords=small+cleaning+brushes&qid=1584199961&sr=8-7
Hi Lisa. The landscape tuto plus this one... I think I am ready to do my own landscape soap with a picture from my region... Snowy Mount Canigou with blooming peachtrees .... like every end of february... You make your scratcher out of simple cardboard I saw...they don't get weak when the get wet?
ooh how exciting, i hope it goes well. Yes I often make a scraper from cardoard, especially if it's something I'm maybe only going to use once. They will get a bit wet, but should be ok, if you use stiff card and last for the soap you're making, but they will be no good if you wanted to use them again
I would ABSOLUTELY LOVE to be able to do this. At least to take some of the burden off my husband who we just recently found out that he has prostate cancer and is the kind of person who JUST HAS TO BE THE ONE WHO TAKES CARE OF HIS FAMILY. But if I could figure out how to measure the ingredients and stuff I know I could do it. But I've seen on here that you respond to people and if we could talk I would love that. Thank you. And I love 💘 ALL of your videos.
Hi there, I'm more than happy to try to help you out. Is it that you haven't ever made soap before, or have you made it but want to be able to do more fancy designs etc. If you have never made soap, it may be a bit tricky to go over it all in comments. Anyway, let me know, so I can try to help you if I can. Sorry to hear about your husband, such awful news to receive, sending you love and best wishes.
@@IDreamInSoap I have made a couple of batches of cold process soap but just with olive oil and cocoa butter and of course lye. I didn't color it or anything like that. Just simple and it did turn out good. But its all gone now. Its been awhile ago. But even after they cured about 3 weeks almost they still seemed softer than they should've been. I dont really understand the measurements of the oils. And whats the best ones to use. And how to measure the lye solution for the other oils batch. If you don't have time for this it's totally fine. I completely understand. And thank you so much for trying to help me.
I love using the squeeze bottles but my soap hardens too quickly and half of the soap gets stuck in the bottle! Is there something wrong with my recipe? Or could it be that my apartment is too cold (60°F)? I'm still new to soap making but I'm loving it so far!
Hi Alpa, I've never maid taco soap (pretty sure) so I don't have a video for it. Unfortunately in the UK, where I live it is illegal to make cosmetics that look like food (it's the same in all of Europe) as we have the food imitation act. So I don't make soap that resembles food. We can include certain elements as long as it's clear the soap isn't trying to imitate a piece of food, so for example I have done a soap with an orange embed, this is OK as the whole soap is not trying to just look like an orange, but things like cupcakes, doughnuts, taco soaps etc wouldn't be allowed
Hello ! I m not quite sure I understood what you told us about the moment you put your soap in the oven : your oven is turned off? If so what was the temperature and how long did you let it run ? Please apologize if i m not right ! I really enjoy your videos , very very nice soap! Florence from France
Hi Florence, yes you are right, the oven is just warmed up without the soap in it. So you warm it up to 75C or 170F, when it gets to that temperature turn it off when the soap goes in. You're not actually trying to cook the soap, just give it a warm place to sit. Thank you for your lovely compliments. Stay safe and well :-)
@@IDreamInSoap Hello, I just found your video and it is very informative and creative. I did have the same question with the soap in the oven. Is that necessary because you are pouring the soap when it is barely mixed? Or will the soap set up regardless? I am just curious as to the reason for it. I am new to soap making, but the bars I have made I just wrap a towel around them and they are in a wood box. Thank you!
I was watching Tiggy's videos and she mentioned you so I popped over to check your videos out - they're awesome and full of great tips - I'm interested to know why you're limited to 4 colours though?
Hey, thanks for popping over. I love Tiggy, isn't she great. In the UK we have to get all of our soaps tested before we can sell them. We submit a base recipe which has everything in we use for every soap in the exact proportions, cannot change the ratios. Then we have variations on our base, these are just things we can add to the base. Typically for a variation, we can have 5 extra items, so that would be your fragrance oil. any colours, botanicals etc. That for me is where the 4 colours come from, as that's all I have left for my 5 additions after my FO. Once those are set and passed as assessed, you cannot change them at all, so even if you wanted to swap 1 single colour, you would have to get a new assessment done and pay for it. You won't see Tiggy working to such tight restrictions as she was already assessed before these tight regulations came in she has more flexibility and works to a more flexible set of rules (lucky thing), so please don't think she' s doing anything wrong, she does have different rules to work to and does genuinely seem to do so. Best wishes, I hope you and your family are staying safe and well. Lisa
@@IDreamInSoap Yes, she is! Ahh, I thought you meant that you CAN'T use more than 4 colours which is where I became confused - I'm the cosmetic safety assessment advisor for Naturally Balmy - we use Scott Grainger for our customer's assessments - with us, the basic allowance is up to 10 ingredients for the base recipe and 5 additional ingredients per variant - we do allow more than the 5 ingredients which is why I became confused - it costs a little more, but it's definitely an option if you wanted to add more - I'm super excited to have another soap maker to watch - I'm hoping to start making my own videos soon too! We are safe and currently well, thank you for asking - I hope you and your family are staying safe also :) x
@@thepamperkingdom Oh goodness me, look at that, now I feel a bit silly trying to explain to you (he,he,he), and then I didn't want someone going onto Tiggy's comments and saying she's breaking the law. I use Scott as well, and yes I do have some assessments that have 5 colours, but just try to keep it simple for the videos and in that variant I only had those 4, so needed to stick to them. Lovely to hear from you and it will be great to see more UK soap makers on UA-cam. We are safe and well here thank you. Best wishes Lisa
@@IDreamInSoap Ahh please don't feel like that, you weren't to know! I saw Tiggy's previous videos regarding that person... she was in my facebook group... soon sorted that problem! We're in very good company with Scott - he and I both have groups on facebook - let m know if you'd like to join and I'll send over the links :)
Hello, I am watching this awesome video once again. You said you cpop @ 170c or 75f? I believe you meant the other way around yes? 75F = 24c & 75c =167f. But 170c = 338f. I would think that is pretty high. Would you please confirm this for me. I've always heard put the oven on the lowest setting, which is 170* in the states. Then turn it off & let it sit overnight. Thanks. I'm excited to try this technique this weekend. I don't want to make any mistakes! Lol :0)
Oh my goodness me Gwen, did I say it that way - you are absolutely right, rats, I don't think I can do anything to edit that without taking the video down, but I'm going to try (thank you so much for letting me know) Yes absolutely, you want the lowest setting so 170F for you. Good luck with your soap this weekend, I don't know if you put them on social media at all, but I'd love to see it when it's done.
So, I've been able to edit the video whilst it's still live, you can't do a lot, so I've just cut the temperatures out, which is a bit of a shame, but I don't want people cooking their soap. Thank you so much once again for bringing this to my attention so I could change it :-)
Hi, I was so excited to try making your wave soap but everything went wrong :0(. My batter either stayed fluid or it seized and went from emulsion to thick trace. I couldn't figure out what went wrong. Then it hit me. My bucket of butters that I forgot to melt was sitting on the other side of the room! I am sooo disappointed. This is the first soap I have made in a very long time. I guess being a stickler for the details did not work in my favor. Now I have to buy another 'beach' scent. I'm not giving up. I will admit watching you do the math made perfect sense until I tried to apply it to my batch. I couldn't figure it out & that's what made me forget the butters. I think I will cleanse my palette & do M&P tomorrow!
Oh no Gwen, what a shame. Don't give up. If you need help working out the different parts let me know, more than willing to help out. Stay safe and well :-)
Hi lisa , would love to watch this video. But when I try to play it a msg pops up saying -" this video is unavailable on this device . Its for both my mobile and the ipad. . Is it a problem from youtube .? The finished picture looks beau.. love the colour combination
I keep watching these pointy soaps and I don’t get how the points come when each layer actually gets covered over w soap. I love the look but don’t see how the peaks actually come! Love Your videos!!!!
Hey Terri. The peaks are formed by leaving gaps in the next layer as you pour it. The soap you pour in pushes the soap that's already there and if you leave a gap it can be pushed up before you cover it with soap
Hi Lisa, for some reason this video isn’t playing on any of my devices. I’m not sure if the problem is on my end or if you’ve limited it. Please let me know.
I think I sorted it, something seems to have happened where I tried to do an edit as I got my CPOP temps the wrong way round. I say 170C 75F and it should be 170F 75C, something weird hapenned. So please ignore that bit.
Hi, I'm based in the UK, so any soap that we want to sell has to have a cosmetic safety certificate. We are restricted with the amount of colours, fragrance and fragrance types, so typically will only be allowed 4 colours in a soap and 1 fragrance, if we want to add anything else, like a botanical etc it would take the place of one of your colours. Then once you have your choices made you have to stick to then exactly, so you can't change a colour or an amount at all, if you do, you have to pay for a new assessment and get that variant approved as well.
Sorry, I don't give out my recipe as it's something that I have had to spend a lot of time and money creating and getting cosmetically assessed for sale.
Thank you for your comment. I think the cutting is a tricky one, looking at the statistics a lot of people drop off and stop viewing once the 1st few bars are cut, especially if the type of design means that all of the bars are similar, but I will bear it in mind :-)
Hi Everyone, I hope you like the video. I had so much fun making it. I've tried to give as much detail and as many tips as possible, but if you have any questions then please just ask in the comments and I'll get back to you. Happy soaping :-)

I can not believe you are a relatively new soaper ( I believe I heard you mention that). I think you are amazing and I can only imagine what brilliant creations you come up with years to come.
Thank you so much Tracy, you are very kind. Stay safe and well :-)
Thank you, another great video with good explaination and lovely soap, much appreciated us hobbyist soaper wanting to try out the technique . Stay safe to you and your family and thank once again.
Thank you so much for your lovely comment and also your good wishes. I do hope you try it, it's such a fun technique.
❤absolutely fantastic!!❤❤❤
Thanks!
Fabulous. Love it so much
Thank you so much, so nice of you to say :-)
I love to try to give as many hints and tips as possible in all my videos as I want everyone to make fantastic soap that they're proud of. If you ever have any questions feel free to ask and if I know the answer I'm always keen to help. Stay safe and well :-)
I've been wanting to do this technique but never sure how to achieve it. This would be absolutely perfect for my Michigan and nature themes. Your video is amazing! Thank you! So informative. Always gonna say it...soap goals!!
AW that's lovely to hear, thank you so much Alexandra, and thank you for taking the time to leave a comment for me 😊
Beautiful soap.
That's so kind of you to say Hooting Owl Soapworks, thank you so much 😊
You are a wonderful soap maker, well done 👍
Thank you so much Annie, that's so nice of you 😊
Great video and lovely soap, thanks Lisa!
Thank you so much Linda :-)
WOWZA! This so beautiful! I've planned on making an ocean & pearl themed soap for June using the drop swirl technique- after watching your video, I may have to try the pointy layers technique instead! You gave very clear details on how you've done it; thank you!
Thank you so much. ooh do try it, it's a really fun technique, would love to see how yours comes out :-)
Brilliant!! Thank you
Thank you so much Paula, and thank you for leaving a comment for me :-)
This is the second video I watched on your channel and decided two’s enough for one time.
Wow I just landed on your channel. Amazing talent. I admire how you can do great designs with all the EU strict rules! 🥰🥰🥰🌼
Beautiful!
Thank you so much for your lovely comment Lillian and thank you for taking the time to leave a comment, I really appreciate it as it helps my channel to grow.
These are just so cool
Thanks.
They came out well. 🙂
Oops and sorry, thank you for the lovely comments about my soap (forgot to thank you)
Your soaps are always so good!
I think you made this look at lot easier than it was, I will have a go though, looks very interesting 😀
ooh do have a go, even if the pointy layers don't go perfectly you'll still end up with a great soap
Those look great! I want to try now.
You should try it, it's such a fun technique and one of those that it's really exciting when you cut. Thank you for leaving me another comment, I do appreciate it :-)
Thanks for this Video.Nice.
Pleased you enjoyed it, thanks for leaving a comment :-)
I love how you explain the math (not my strongest suite) and break it down to “layman’s” terms. Your work is amazing!!
hey that's brilliant, so pleased you find the math bit useful, I always worry a bit about putting things like that in, but I guess people can always fast forward. Thank you for your kind comment :-)
I Dream In Soap exactly! “Feel free to hot that forward button” 😉 I don’t have a neat spatula like you for my squeeze bottles so I actually line mine with a sandwich baggy. Just pull out and viola! Clean.
I love your soaps, each one is it’s own piece of art.
Thank you so much for your lovely comment, it's very kind of you
Thank you so much for the video and for sharing your talent and creativity! Your videos are such a joy to watch, and your explanations are the best! Beautiful soap, will have to try👍
AW, thank you so much for such a generous comment Mag :-)
What a beautiful soap! I'm just about to make my first soap. Just waiting for my supplements to arrive. Can't wait xx
How exciting, be careful, it's very addictive :-)
Lisa, I'm blown away, I just did a video opening your soap and it's phenomenal!
Nice Video Lisa. Love this look. Beautiful
Thank you so much Chass :-)
Hi Lisa, thank you so much again for such detail sharing!!! It inspired me again. These soaps are sooooo beautiful!!!! Great work!!!! Take care as Coronavirus is spread around the world. ❤️
AW that's so kind of you Karen, thank you so much :-)
Hi I saw Karen of Eden Secret review some of your soaps & I was blown away . I love your soaps this video was pleasant to watch. You explain the maths of soap really well. Thanks 💜

Debes de tener mucha paciencia para realizar semejante obra de arte
Wish me luck! I live on the beautiful Lake Macquarie just north of Sydney Australia and sailing is a major thing here. I’m making this style of soap this week and calling it “old Salty”. Fingers crossed it looks as lovely as yours. Thank you for all you share. You are inspirational
Ooh I hope it goes really well, good luck and have fun
I love your detailed description... Big fan from India
Thank you so much, so pleased you like my videos :-)
Great soap , great tips. Thank you x
Thanks a lot Kerry, and thank you for always leaving comments for me :-)
You are amazing!!!
AW, Becky thank you so much that's really kind of you and thank you for taking the time to leave a comment :-)
Wonderful
Hello again Frits van Doorn , so pleased you liked the video, and thanks so much for popping by
I can see a binge viewing coming on!! 😍 so talented!
Hi from North Wales 👋
Hello neighbour (well sort of :-) ) Thank you so much for your lovely comment, I hope you enjoy the videos
Stunning. Thank you 😍😍😍
Thank you so much for your lovely comment Jill, and thank you for taking the time to leave a comment, I really appreciate it as it helps my channel to grow :-)
Looks really nice!
Thank you so much Izabella and thank you for taking the time to leave a comment for me
I love anything ocean ..I love the waves you did in this soap..I like how you make soap samples for the color of the colourant for end result..I need to try this because I never know what colours look like in soap in the end
Thank you Natalie, so pleased you liked it and thank you for another comment :-)
Lovely vedio
Thank you so much, and thank you for leaving me a comment :-)
Great
Thank you so much Emi, that's very kind of you.
Amazing 😍😍 great
Thanks a lot 😊
Great video as always and I’m actually excited about lockdown so I can try this out! What tool were you using to scrape out your squeeze bottles?
Thanks so much Lily - I clean out my bottles with a thing called a 'mini supoon' they're from Dreamfarm, and fantastic
Love it 😍
Thank you so much and thank you for taking the time to leave me another comment on another video, it's really good of you :-)
Your soap is very pretty and I really love it! One question is how to make the layer of your green wave that such below the sky so vivid and obvious
When I saw you made the wave during pouring colors, the plastic bottle not placed high, the effect is also could be achieved!
Quite ok, Are you able to tell me what temp you mix your oils and lye. I have recently changed mine down to 25c and wondering if I am going too low.
For squeeze bottles I have some tiny brushes almost like pipe cleaners that I use, even things like those brushes they make to clean out reusable straws, they all work well
I Dream In Soap oooo! I hadn’t thought of the ones that are out for reusable straws. Brilliant!
I Dream In Soap ok thank you. And yes, me too I hope it will get well, haha.
Thank you Lisa for sharing how you do each step so helpful . Do you use a planer to clean up your bars?
HI Charlotte, so please you found it useful. No, on my loaf moulds I just bevel the edges, I never plane them, just cut and bevel.
@@IDreamInSoap thank you, your soap I recieved from you was so perfectionist❤️ I still am admiring all of them Lisa. 💖
@@charlottetucker6378 I'm so pleased, I hope you enjoy them :-)
Loved it. Can you also show us the making of tacos shape soap. Would really love to see that video
Stay safe and well :-)
💯
Thank you so much :-)
Hi lisa , would love to watch this video. But when I try to play it a msg pops up saying -" this video is unavailable on this device . Its for both my mobile and the ipad. . Is it a problem from youtube .? The finished picture looks beau.. love the colour combination
ooh that's odd, I don't have it set any differently from the others are you able to watch other ones?
Hey Sunitta, I've played around with a few things and hopefully it's working now, not really sure what was wrong.
I keep watching these pointy soaps and I don’t get how the points come when each layer actually gets covered over w soap. I love the look but don’t see how the peaks actually come! Love
Your videos!!!!
Hey Terri. The peaks are formed by leaving gaps in the next layer as you pour it. The soap you pour in pushes the soap that's already there and if you leave a gap it can be pushed up before you cover it with soap
I Dream In Soap now that makes total sense! Watching I could not understand how it really worked! Thank you!!
Where do you get your molds?
And love your videos.. they are so informative- thank you for sharing the maths and explaining your steps so well
Hi Elizabeth. Mine is from Custom Craft tools, it was quite expensive (plus I had to pay to ship it to the UK) but I think it was worth every penny.
Thank you so much Elizabeth, so pleased you like them. :-)
What regulations?
Hi, I'm based in the UK, so any soap that we want to sell has to have a cosmetic safety certificate. We are restricted with the amount of colours, fragrance and fragrance types, so typically will only be allowed 4 colours in a soap and 1 fragrance, if we want to add anything else, like a botanical etc it would take the place of one of your colours. Then once you have your choices made you have to stick to then exactly, so you can't change a colour or an amount at all, if you do, you have to pay for a new assessment and get that variant approved as well.
Can you give me the recipe of you soap
Sorry, I don't give out my recipe as it's something that I have had to spend a lot of time and money creating and getting cosmetically assessed for sale.
Hi new subscriber , care of karen (eden secret) 👍
Hi Carrie, welcome and thank you so much for coming over, so happy you subscribed, I hope you enjoy my videos. I'm a big fan of Karen's too.
@@IDreamInSoap your amazing those design's are 100% 👍.
I will say you rush one of the most satisfying parts of the making. Cutting the bars. Please don't speed that up.
Thank you for your comment. I think the cutting is a tricky one, looking at the statistics a lot of people drop off and stop viewing once the 1st few bars are cut, especially if the type of design means that all of the bars are similar, but I will bear it in mind :-)
