It is faster because your normal lead acid battery couldn't provide enough current to the 1600W motor. It needs 1600W/48V=33.33 A to run on full speed. Your lithium-ion battery can do:" Maximum Continuous Discharge Current (A) 50A" it is good because you are not fully using all off(just 33.33/50=66%) it therefore it is not heating up so quickly while you are running on full speed. Thank you Jason Evo, this vid has changed my life! I've become a man obsessed & surf bat tech sites, blogs & forums for hours every day for several weeks now. Trying like Hell to absorb this battery knowledge but man, there is so much to learn. After the last few weeks, mad props & respect to you JE! OK so here's my deal and ?'s. I too have the Uber 1600 & f ing luv it. With the SLA's I'm lighting up the Mauna Lani Resort security radar at 31mph & getting about 6 mi. before red light. But I need more SPEED & a little more distance. 1. what kind of performance would you expect from 15ah and 20ah li ion's? I'm thinking 10 to 20 miles but more concerned if top mph would also be lower? 2. is there anything bigger than the 25ah that would give more mph without risk of burning it up? 3.With all the knowledge you've gained and evolution in the batt biz what would be the batt you'd buy if you bought one today? 4. Being in Hawaii it appears I might have haz mat shipping issues, possibly less with LiFePo4. How would speed and distance differ from a Li ion? 5. One last one....& none of my biz but I'm really curious, has Ali express compensated you in any way? That is not meant as a ? of ur character or to taint ur opinion because I've surfed 100's of these batts literally & the one u link to is still the cheapest quality 48v 25ah available. The reason I asked that is because if they're not compensating you then they should be, I know they gotta be selling hela batts just from this vid alone. Rock on Jason Evo!
The 15ah and 20ah would increase your speed and distance but not much. Like you said your battery shows the red light after 6 miles and slows down slowly, the lithium would last you that full 15 to 20 miles of full speed with no decrease of power till it just cuts off when dead. When you switch to lithium your scooter automatically increases speed by 3-5Mph. The best way to understand lithium is with the ah when you see 20ah or 25ah it means distance so for example the 25ah is 25 miles in distance of high speed the slower your speed the longer you ride. My 25ah gets me a distance of 27miles at 35-39Mph. With the eco mode top speed at 15Mph I get between 37-42miles of distance. If I could buy the perfect battery I would buy the 48v 35ah it don’t get better than that, you’ll get tired before that battery dies. If you want to max out your scooter change the 57 tooth gear to a 44 tooth gear, speed will increase by 5-7 miles. Coming from someone that’s been searching all over on how to make my scooter as fast as possible, you really don’t want any scooter faster than 40mph as the parts at a higher speed can come loose and at that speed you can easy crash or loose control. Right now your top speed is 31mph with only 6 miles of high speed and 4 miles of slow speed. You just need to upgrade the distance with a lithium battery. It will not drop speed you get that full power till the end. For electric scooters from my understanding it’s better to have a li-ion than LiPo as it’s lighter holds more power and has no memory effect. The downside about li-ion if you buy some cheap knockoffs they might explode on you, it’s always best to buy from a known brand. AliExpress doesn’t pay me for anything nor have they sponsored me for this video. I only posted this because it was the best and cheapest. This might be the cheapest but it’s also from an AliExpress trusted seller. I my self looked all over on UA-cam to make my scooter faster with no help so I decided to post the video after trial and error hoping it might help someone else. I’m happy to know you found this video somewhat helpful. Thank you and I hope you get the best experience out your scooter.
You're so Awesome Jason! The reason I hoped you were making a little somethin' from all the referrals is because I feel guilty acquiring all this knowledge for free. Probably a longshot but if u ever come to Hawaii (Big Island) you can have the uber 1600 for as long as ur here & it's a fun place to scoot. So just to make sure I'm hearing u exactly, I would still get the same boost to 35-37mph with a lithium of lesser ah? Because I really have no distance needs beyond 6-10 miles, just want to go all out all the way. Obviously have to be of similar wattage output, etc. I'm so excited it's stupid! Thank you Jason.
Last ?, I promise. How does wattage output affect the performance? the batteries for sale state max watt motor, say 48v 20ah li ion that states 1000w or 1200w, how would that affect the performance on the uber 1600? thx
I finally did it! bought the batt from ur link. The Ali Express 48v 25ah will be here in 23 days or sooner. I'm getting the perfect battery for my scoot at the best price. I'm confident about that because of all that I learned from you. Thank you Jason, Rob
Sorry about the late response. I was going to suggest you get the Same battery I got because when I tried my Ebikes battery 48v 17.5ah I only got 2mph faster but lasted for a longer ride . If you get a battery for a 1000w or 1200w your motor won’t get the full power needed to go faster. I looked everywhere for the best battery but most importantly the cheapest. You did good getting this battery you will be very happy, it should arrive faster than stated.
Lol I bought the battery and didn’t watch the rest of the video, can’t find the right wire harness with fuse holder anywhere at all, the site said in the video is out of stock too
I purchased the same battery and didn't see an increase in the speed. I did see an increase in the miles though. I see that you changed the controller. Did you buy a bigger controller to get you to be able to go faster?

I have a uber scooter also 1000w how can I make it faster?what do I need to get for it On the wheels gear which teeth I need like how many n the one on the motor
well in your own harness, you should have a 40 fuse. if not, you will need one of them but im not sure if those batteries will work with a 1000w controller in your scooter.
Yeah lipos are significantly better than lead acid, I have a Schwinn s750 I converted to lipo and it went from a Max of 22 to 34. Some of the speed was from increasing output from the controller
I wanna get one but because of some of the reviews on Amazon I'm a little hesitant, you said they're well built, and I know you know your stuff, so I'm still checking reviews, let me know, thanks.
This scooter comes from a different technological era and was built using a much different design philosophy. It is most robust, less advanced; more modular, heavier and will feel a lot more solid than most modern electric scooters. However as far as specs are concerned and technology implemented it is considered obsolete. It is all about your preference. If you want something that feels more substantial abusable solid and offroad capable then get this; for greater performance, range, less weight more power, more efficiency yet more expensive to buy and fix then get something newer.
I just bought one of those batteries for my Evo 1600w same thing really, I could only buy 20ah tho as it is from the company I bought the scooter from, that lead crap that come with it, lets the scooter down, only 7 miles I got from it other day, I am worried now tho about that harness thing for the fuses, Is it easy to connect an that, an do the lithium battery make it better on the hills, silly question I know but that lead heavy weight is crap for the hills................

Did you ever get the battery to charge directly through the XLR port on the side of the scooter? It should be fine I would imagine as long as your using a LiPo 48v (52v) charger.
Hello good evening!! So...If I were to install two 24V 12Ah lithium batteries, would that kinda be the same thing so long as it’s wired correctly? It already has four 12v 12 ah batteries, according to its specs...?? Am I on to something or no??🥺
I got a 48v 13ah battery in my 600w scooter. What battery would I need to go faster ? They do this Alalito 48v 28Ah 1000w for 69pounds. Could I run this along side my other battery OR just swap batt for batt.
Do you think I should buy the 2000 watt controller for the upgraded battery or will the original controller work with the new 2000 watt battery without burning out?
I actually have a different controller on my scooter it has all the same connections as the original except the wire for the throttle battery light indicator. thats why i never mention it because i know people wont want a controller that will turn off the battery indicator but since my scooter goes 27 miles i know i will get tired before the battery reaches half way. This controller has more Electric Current at 40A i know the original is either 30a or close. here is the link: goo.gl/VyNRGz
I’ve had the same uberscoot for 5 years & wouldn’t trade it for anything. A friend gave me a brand new 48v 10ah li-ion battery to which I plugged it right in & works fine but doesn’t seem to have as much life as I thought it would. After riding 3-4 miles on flat road, using mostly econo mode with occasional full throttle, battery indicator is yellow/red eventually all red. The only difference I can see is the controller wires are thicker than battery wires. Would that make a diff? Fuses are fine, connections are ok. Any thoughts? Thanks
The 10a would last less than your stock battery because it’s 12a Also the battery you might have could be old and not producing the full power it’s supposed to.

-schmeeegle h, as long as the battery you are ordering will fit in the compartment in the scooter and is a 36v battery pack, it should work. as soon as you go to 48v, you will need a different controller. not sure if the 1600w motor will fit in the 1000w. it definitly is bigger so probably not but thats just a guess. here is a great battery pack for the 1000w. www.aliexpress.com/store/product/Hot-sale-36V-Lithium-battery-36V-20AH-Electric-Bike-battery-36-V-25ah-1000W-Scooter-Battery/1473151_32825976769.html?spm=2114.12010610.0.0.66ee60c81hdcek

I'm looking for a foldable scooter that can do 25-30mph while also being easy to repair and as light as possible. Light enough to comfortably carry up stairs (as part of my commute involves stairs). What do you recommend? I'd be willing to sacrifice distance for power and weight reduction.
as far as weight goes scooters that go 25-30 miles will be a little heavy. From the scooters that i tried the Uberscoot was the lightest at 90 pounds ( without the battery its 70 pounds). I would recommend getting a lithium battery it will make it lighter. When I take mine to work i have to carry my scooter up and down stairs. I usually use two hands and carry it or if i feel tired i fold it and drag it like a suitcase. You can Buy it from walmart online use it for a month if you don’t like it you can a return it they will pay for shipping and have FedX come to your house to pick it up.

Hello. I have the 1000w version of this scooter and the back tire valve is a pain to get to. The only way I have been able to pump up the tire is to take the tire off - which then requires you to line everything back and tighten. This causes the brake to rub against the tire. Have you or anyone else experienced this as well? Is there an easier way? Unfortunately I have not been able to find any tutorials online and the Uber scoot website is not good.
here is a link to something that will help with inflating the tire. this product that i am talking about is at almost the very bottom of the page. you can either get a longer and flexable one or a straight metal one. but i have never had the brake rub against the tire when i have taken the tire off. www.electricscooterparts.com/evo1000electricscooterparts.html

Where do I purchase this new battery? I have the same scooter and how much did it cost you? Thanks 😊
The goped is way faster or u got to do is street light on it to legal..
Is attaching the wire kit/harness to the lithium battery the same thing as attaching it to a lead acid battery? With those things on top to connect?
Please
let me know where
Did you
get your litium 48v battery
Lol I bought the battery and didn’t watch the rest of the video, can’t find the right wire harness with fuse holder anywhere at all, the site said in the video is out of stock too
Same problem
hi! did the top speed change and how much range did you get from the battery swap? thanks
What is the difference with a 48v 20ah and a 48v 25ah battery I'm going to order 2 lithium batteries soon and I want the best battery
I purchased the same battery and didn't see an increase in the speed. I did see an increase in the miles though. I see that you changed the controller. Did you buy a bigger controller to get you to be able to go faster?
Hey buddie, I have the 1600w 48v chaos electric chain drive... almost an exact of your user scooter in the video, (just a different make)
I want to do exactly what you have done in this video to mine as my original batteries are totally spent now....
Do you have a link for the harnace needed and that lithium battery you used?
I would really appreciate a reply because this upgrade is perfect for me and there is nobody else it's seems that has this information, also did you need higher amp fuses or are they the same as which cane with the scooter? Please help!🙌✌️🙌
I'm about to buy a Mototec Mad 1600w which will charge but won't start for $320... is it worth it?
Thanks for this video. Helped me out big time
So I have a schwinn s750 that is old school. Working perfectly on 36v. I want to purchase lithium battery! I am thinking 36v 30ah would be great? Will this work? Any help is much appreciated.
Great video
It has 3 12v 10ah led acid junk
The origanal batterys just need the gray cord unpluged and it goes 30mph
Why dont u drill a whole for the charger. And glue it so it wont get wet.
lithium what? Lithium ion? lithium polymer? How many cells? How do you balance the cells?
Hey how do you take the seat off ?
What is the beter el bike or scooter? I hawe electrick bike 1000w going 25-30 mph
So you could just buy cheapest uberscoot and change it to this battery or are they all different sizes in battery compartment?
they are all different in the compartment but the lithium battery is so small that it fits all
Were did u order that battery??
Did u hv to wire the lithium battery i want to get one for mine. I saw ur link were to buy it.
Thanks
Bsipp
Can you use the scooter in the rain????????
yes
I have a uber scooter also 1000w how can I make it faster?what do I need to get for it
On the wheels gear which teeth I need like how many n the one on the motor
Hey, would this exact battery work with a 48 volt 1000 watt Bullet Stealth. Also do I have to buy a new fuse? Or does it come with the battery
well in your own harness, you should have a 40 fuse. if not, you will need one of them but im not sure if those batteries will work with a 1000w controller in your scooter.
Do u need to get 2000w lithium battery or can you get the 1600w battery is the 2000w 48v okay to put in 1600w?
My guess is as long as the motor voltage the same has battery voltage not watts
@Scented Style are you telling me just a simple battery change can increase ur speed by 5-10mph??
How did you get on with a 20ah battery? I've just bought a used chaos 48v 1000w (same scooter) and I'm looking to change the batteries to lithium
@@troygardner8870 Just do it, It makes the scooter better with lithium battery, I can get 15 miles or so, An that is top end most the time, Hills are better too get up, These scooters are actually OK, They are proper for round the streets, But yeah it is worth getting or making your own lithium battery...........................
Brilliant, I haven't even rode mine until it needed charging yet but it weighs a ton! I'm thinking of just buying a battery from Ali express but I hear there are a lot of scams. Do you have a link to a reputable seller?
@@troygardner8870 I payed £360 for mine from www.evoscooters.co.uk/ This is where i got my battery from, Bit more expensive but you aint going too get scammed, It a pretty good company, Got beck too me fast enough, An that was Xmas an New year time, They was on hols an still got back too me, Even had discount on the battery, I actually bought the 1600watt version, But if you can make your own battery, I would do that but if you can't buy one from here, These batteries got the bms in it, so it straight out the box...........
Thanks for the reply & info mate . I'll let you know how I get on!
Hi there, I also have 2 of those and I was wondering if this battery would work.
LiitoKala 48v 30ah 48v 2000w battery lithium ion battery 48V 30AH electric bike battery cell 48v scooter battery on aliexpress 427 CAD
But it’s 30A not 25A
Tks again
Are uberscoot and hyper racing scooter have swapped part because my hyper racing scooter died yesterday
Did you ever get the battery to charge directly through the XLR port on the side of the scooter? It should be fine I would imagine as long as your using a LiPo 48v (52v) charger.
No I just kept it the same just in case I want to but back the lead acid and charge it
Hello good evening!! So...If I were to install two 24V 12Ah lithium batteries, would that kinda be the same thing so long as it’s wired correctly? It already has four 12v 12 ah batteries, according to its specs...?? Am I on to something or no??🥺
Good evening cant find the link to the battery please send me the link i wanna try that battery thanks
I would like to know where you purchased your battery from I can't seem to find one
Where can I purchase the lithium battery from?
Where did you purchase the battery from ?
I got a 48v 13ah battery in my 600w scooter. What battery would I need to go faster ?
They do this
Alalito 48v 28Ah 1000w for 69pounds.
Thanks
The 10a would last less than your stock battery because it’s 12a
Also the battery you might have could be old and not producing the full power it’s supposed to.
you "plugged it right in"?
Should try a 30ah
@@Scentedstyle i have ordered a 48v 20ah lithium battery for my 1600w scooter, will that give me good range ?
What type of batteries are those?
Hello I want to do this but I have 3 lead batteries in my one and it's solar no uberscoot but the exact same design as your uberscoot is the same as my solar can you tell me.the exact upgrade I would need please
Hi i want to upgrade mi t-walker 1000w 48v scooter to litium is not neccessary change the controller or bms ?? nothing else only battery?
Hey bro i had another question whats the biggest battery i can put with the 1000 watt version? and would i need to change the controller. also does a 1600 watt engine fit in the 1000 watt scooter. Id u could plz let me know i would really appreciate it thnx.
-schmeeegle h, as long as the battery you are ordering will fit in the compartment in the scooter and is a 36v battery pack, it should work. as soon as you go to 48v, you will need a different controller. not sure if the 1600w motor will fit in the 1000w. it definitly is bigger so probably not but thats just a guess. here is a great battery pack for the 1000w. www.aliexpress.com/store/product/Hot-sale-36V-Lithium-battery-36V-20AH-Electric-Bike-battery-36-V-25ah-1000W-Scooter-Battery/1473151_32825976769.html?spm=2114.12010610.0.0.66ee60c81hdcek
Hey Jason :) very cool and good video man! I have a Chaos 48v 1600w as well which is basically the same the one you have. Would you be kind enough to tell me if there's any heating problems or any sort of danger after upgrading to the lithium batteries? because i'm definitely ordering them if they are safe. Also, how much extra speed did yo u get after upgrading. Cheers.
Thank You. Yes you are correct the Manual on my Uberscoot said Chaos 48v not uberscoot so it is Chaos just a different name. The only thing that overheats is the red positive wire for the battery but that was my fault as i didn’t fully secure the connections i adjusted it now no overheat. Lithium is actually safer than lead acid. I went from 27-33mph to 35-40mph
Wow that's amazing! Thanks a lot man :)
I suggest lifepo4 but lithium storage more energy but more unstable if you dont know how to take cafe of it
I FOUND THE BATTERY AND ORDERED IT, MY FRIEND I SEEN YRE UPDATED VIDEO COOL ALL YRE VIDEOS ARE GOOD,IM GONNA DO MINE JUST LIKE YOU SHOWED ON HERE I HAVE THE SAME SCOOTER I ALREDY GOT THE BATTERY CABLE FROM THE LINK YOU SHARED SO THATS ALL I HAVE TO DO?? WHAT YOU DID ON VIDEO AND IM GOOD??? GET BACK TO ME PLEASE THANK YOU,
Can you use that same harness that is already on the old battery pack that you are replacing?
I want to upgrade to lithium...can i get a 48v 20ah 2000w battery for this 1600w?
Same here
hi i have a uber 1000 36v im not sure if the batterey aint holding charge or if theres a wire lose some where as 1 minute it lights up full charge next its on red if its new parts i need can you tell where the cheapest place to get them i hope you can help help me thank you
Is it the same battery that the mad velocifero uses? by the connector and the measurements
-joe macias, it could be the same battery. it is a lithium with 35 mile range.
is there a wire to make the speed faster I know they look the speed for safety
where to buy this
Did you find out where too get this from and the connection you need
Thanks for the tip.
HELLO AND WILL THIS BATTERY WORK I HAVE THE SAME SCOOTER YOU HAVE I FOUND THIS ONE ON EBAY WILL IT WORK HERE IS THE BATTERY Li-ion Battery 48V 25AH Volt Rechargeable Bicycle 1200W E Bike Electric Li-ion
I do not believe you can max the throttle 35mph and get 27 miles to the battery! that sounds insane!
My brother just got one the lead acid battery will go 40 kilometers in distance on a charge. Lipo batteries are way better
i did it on mine too. use 52 v battery
Who knows
Dose anyone know what sort of charger to use for the plug in the same as the one in the video. I’ve ordered a 48v lipo battery with the same connector battery side just not sure what plug it will fit charger side?
As shown 4:57 in the video
What lithium battery is best for this scoot since it’s 1600w?
Did you figure out where to purchase the battery from?
Hello mate what size fuse is it for the batteries do you know please and whats the wire thickness?
Dose the battery reading on the scooter give a correct reading when lithiums are fittered or do you need a different battery reader
it works accurately once you hit the red light you have two miles its always will work regardless of the battery because the battery reading is from the controller
Would you recommend the same battery for a 1000w scooter? Does it make a difference?
Do u have a 48v or 36v which ever u have get the correct battery
Hey Jason. How many miles you can get with the scooter after upgrade lithium? I need to ride it 50-55 miles every each day,48v 25ah battery looks enough for it. is it correct?
You might want to go with the 30ah it will give you a longer distance if you want to play it safe just ride at low speed like 15Mph and it will take you back and forth in the same charge
Been watching all your videos thanks
I just bought mine I charged it turned it on lights work I go for about ten seconds then the motor stops the lights stay on but wont go it says full battery any idea?
Check the fuses make sure both are not burned. Most likely that sound like the controller is bad or some wires are burned.
@DAILY OBSERVER all links are in the description
@DAILY OBSERVER the link is to the exact same one i have on my scooter, its the best and cheapest one i could find when i was searching.
@DAILY OBSERVER i completely understand, aliexpress is a safe website i buy from them all the time and never had any issues, they also have protection like ebay. everything is tracked its a known website, but i understand, if you're concerned i would look at that battery understand the voltage and AH you need and try to find one on amazon or ebay.
CAN'T WAIT TO UPGRADE MY BATTERY
Once you do you will have the ultimate electric scooter
What is the size of the scooter's battery container.
@Jason Evo Thanks Jason. Have you ever heard of the Speedway Mini 4 Pro? If so what do you think of it?
Use Styrofoam to fit it.
Where can i find that lithium battery?
To all doing upgrade on battery go to 52v battery I did and is running stronger and faster…oh and DON’T wrapp them they need to breathe as they get hot as you run your scooter please!!!!
mines 60v still slow
I have two of those scooters can you please let me know where you bought the lithium upgrade batteries
Hello brendon, just saw your comments. Thanks, I’m glad to have helped. 1. The lithium battery I got from AliExpress the link to the exact one I have is in the description of this video.
2. The standard battery charger is currently sold out on all the websites, I just checked

What he said about speed and miles with the original battery is WAY off. Even on the website they say you get about 10 miles max ON REGULAR speed, which is roughly 18 mph. Turbo gets you about a mile, if that. That's about 30 to 32 mph. Even fresh out the box. I don't know where he got his numbers from.
I just ordered that same battery he has. I'm not gonna hold my breath on the numbers he gave for that one, but hopefully I get some longer ride time at least.
agreeed
Where did you order The battery?
I have a couple of questions brother if your able to help me out please :) kind regards Neil
You pump thru the disc brake in the rear, no need to remove the tire!
Bro I got a 2015 36v 1000 watts uber can I do the same size battery or does it has to be a smaller battery. If so tell me what size to get and where from. Please respond asap
You need a 10s battery pack 😉
Did it burn out or anything cuz of the increase in watts
It’s still working great with no problems. New updated video coming soon
