Threw one in my ecosmart metro and it compared to the previous same ah lipo is 6x longer between charges. They are also safer and less effected by cold and hot weather. Less fire risk than lipo. The only draw back to lifepo4 is they are heavier than the lipo batteries but still lighter than sla batteries. My 48v 20 ah battery has gotten me to work and around town for almost two weeks before dropping one tick on the battery meter while the 7ah sla batteries only got me to and from work for about 2.5 days. Hello Jason, your videos about the UBER scooter are Full of great information. I have a 1600w original scooter it is a great scooter time has come to change the Baterries. I want to upgrade to lithium 48v, 254h and 2000w. I'm buying the Battery from the website you recommend. I had two questions. Question number 1. Do I have to change the original controller that comes in the scooter or I can use the same controller? 2nd question what type of fuse should I use for the Battery harness with two fuses holders in the red cable should I use 25 maps fuses? Thanks in advance for your great support to the scooter community
Sorry for the late response I just saw your comment. 1. You don’t need to change the controller the stock one will work just fine but it does give you more speed if you upgrade the to a 40amps controller. 2. It depends on which harness you have but it’s an 80amps fuse if you have one like mine which holds two fuses then you need two 40amp fuses if you have the newer ones with just one spot for the fuse then get an 80amp fuse.

Hey man this is an excellent video! Really informative and fun with the ride at the end! I am looking forward to getting a 1900W 48V machine sometime around April (I live in a northern climate). I am definitely coming back to this video in the future. Saved in favorites
Oh and a quick question. The machine I am getting is actually 1600Wbut it has a peak turbo mode at 1900. Do you think its going to be a significant difference in uphill speed?
It’s most likely the same as my scooter cause it’s 1600w but in the video we see it’s actually 1900w+. Make sure the controller has 40AMPS output. If it comes with a lithium battery yes it will fly uphill. Anything lower than 40AMPS on the controller don’t buy it, unless you planing to upgrade it yourself. Do you have a link to the scooter I’ll check it out for you

Jason, I have been watching ur vids for a couple months since I bought a used Superscooter 36v 1000w used on a humble. Best, most informative vids I've seen. U have helped me decide on my next scooter (same as urs), and battery upgrade, as I plan to give the 1000w to my wife. I have already ordered a 36v 20ah battery from aliexpress(thanks my man) for the 1000w. Great vids Bro. Keep up the great work, and happy scootering!
Thanks for the info. If i want to upgrade my batt for my 1000w uberscoot model just like yours, can you recommend what battery to upgrade to for longer rides?
Awsome video brother! Thanks a million! Ive got a 36v 1000w scooter and i love it. Had to buy new batteries 2 months agio and the range was amaizing until ive noticed it lasting less, and takes less time to charge. Sounds like a battery is faulty. I have informed the shop and ill be taking it for an inspection next week. Thing is. They can only check battery volts and not ah. 🤔 Ill see what they say then. On another note, where dis you get that battery from? What make is it so i could ask about it at my local battery shop? Thanks a lot once again dude.
awesome job on how to trouble shoot your hole scooter gave you thumbs up on this 1 .. One thing I would add is upgrade your power connectors and if you pass 20A dont use the yellow box and cut off end connectors ,use higher amp rated connectors ,like 40A Bullet connectors ,1 more thing, if you bypass the light, horn ,brake light plug add a On/Off switch . You will see a bit more range and power :)
I just wanna say holy crapp thank you for taking the time to teach me so much about scooters I didn't know before especially the Uber scooter holy crapp thank you very very detailed,
Bro your response to that drunk dude at the end was amazing, just rode my uberscoot for the first time today and I love it. The chain is kinda loud though should I be worried that it's too tight? It doesn't have much play in it but it can be moved. It's the way it came out of the box so I didn't know if should mess with it.
I love that you put a Lithium battery in there. I am thinking of buying an Uberscoot.. Question. Besides 12 Volts, what is the difference between the 1,000 Watt and 1,600 watt model?? Can it be converted by only adding or removing 12 volts?
Up to this day , in my opinion this the best scooter to have , most strong , easier to fix , easier to upgrade and more comfortable that any other scooters ,, i got it too and I love it ..i am thinking in putting a very powerful lithium battery with more ah / amps .. The only thing I don't like is the acid batteries that comes with it, too little life power ...
@@Scentedstyle You're certainly welcome Jason. I come to your channel often to get as much information as I can about my 1600W Uberscoot and you were the one got got me started in this AWESOME sport in the first place! *Thank You* On another note, I was wondering if you can also help me with a problem I've been having.........Every once in a while when, say I'm sitting at a red light and the light turns green, when I open the throttle, my scooter will not respond. I was having this problem a couple months ago and I figured the problem was a damaged control board. A few months ago while switching out the lead acid battery for the lithium battery, I forgot that the cables from the battery were still connected to the red and black wires from the control board and yanked pretty hard. As embarrassed as I am to admit this, I actually did this a few times because I guess I get careless when I am totally hooked onto something like this. Anyway, I noticed (back then) that the throttle would do the same thing it's doing now by not responding at times. This lead to more frequent times it would do this which then led to all 3 lights shutting off when I tried to open the throttle and finally the 3rd stage came with the scooter showing no signs of life when I turned the ignition on (on a fully charged battery.) At that point I figured I needed to order a new control board (which btw takes freakin' forever because every store online in the USA gets sold out of those in a matter of days!) When that control board finally came in, I switched it out for the old control board and I was having no problems until a few days ago when suddenly it starts doing the same damn thing at a traffic light, LOL! *So therefore my question to you is do think this problem is a bad throttle switch? I swear to you that I have been EXTREMELY careful to disconnect the battery and not accidentally yank on those red and black wires coming from the control board. Could I have been actually dealing with 2 different problems and solved the first problem with the control board while the problem with the throttle? If not, what do you think the problem is? As always, your knowledge and help will be MUCH appreciated!*
You need to change out the throttle because if one of those 7 wires from the throttle get damaged from yanking on it or just overheating can cause the controller to fail. Those controllers you see in this video are bought because i had the same issue as you, my throttle stopped working i figured it was the controller i swapped it out turned on the scooter it turned for about 5 seconds and died- turned out the throttle had a faulty wire (in my case a burnet wire hardly noticeable) and it caused my new controller to fry so i swapped out the throttle and changed the controller to 38amps controller and its been more than a year and no problems at all Since you the 1600w and the lithium battery i would highly recommend that you upgrade your controller to this 40A from aliexpress two downsides to it, one its missing the wire for the indicator for the batteries light but since you have lithium you don't need it as you know you'll probably get tired before the lithium dies. Two the shipping takes between 2-3Weeks if you can live without the battery light go with this controller you'll get more power and speed took a while but i found it goo.gl/ovPDmc
@@Scentedstyle OH COOL!! So I get even more power and speed now! This is great and it's because of these inside tips like this that I keep coming back to your channel! Thanks again for the advise man! One question about switching out the throttle.......Is it really easy to swap out like the control board or is it a lot more complicated? If it's really hard, do you have a video on how to do it?
Thanks bro for all your support these videos are for you guys and its my pleasure to help DAMN IT i know i forgot something. I should have included how to swap out the controller but its not hard if you do it correctly what you want to do is remove one harness/wire at a time and reconnect it to the new controller do it step by step you wont have any problems the throttle is pretty simple as it comes with the correct harnesses so you just plug it in to the same ones you remove from the controller if you have trouble just let me know and i'll make a video on it
hello Jason , I was watching your video after losing almost half an hour watching videos that did not help me at all. in my case I bought a used 1000W 48V Evo Electric Scooters from 2015. after watching your video I would like to know if it is possible to modify it to a 1600w, what dou you recommend? thanks for the videos Bro
You will have to change out the controller to a 1600w controller and also the battery needs to be replaced from 36v to a 48v battery the motor will still work after upgrading but if you want more torque you might want to upgrade the motor also. Pretty much it’s simple just swapping parts out from 36v to 48v the tricky part is finding a 48v battery to fit in the 1000w model as it’s a bit smaller than the 1600w. One option is when buying a lithium battery you can measure your scooter and have them custom build the battery to fit inside
My 1000w uberscoot battery is starting to die. Was wondering if I buy a 48v LiFe battery, can I just replace the battery and get more voltage or do I have to replace the speed controller as well? Great video, by the way!!!
AH means Amp Hours. It is how all batteries are rated. Hall is for hall effect sensor. It is only the position of the rotor so the controller knows how to fire the stator power.
Good video mate 👌regarding battery indicator, you can install a external indicator,I did that on mine 👍when I upgraded from 48v to 60v,my stock indicator still works but it's not accurate as I'm still using the stock 48v throttle 😊
I got the 2000 watt Mototec version of this (basically the same scooter without the lights) fast as hell with the stock battery (I believe it’s 4x12 volts=48 volts, not so sure about the Amps). Will be upgrading to a 60v 25amp lithium making it 1500 watt (60x25=1500). I know my scooters controller caps off at 2200 watts so I should be ok. I know I’ll have a faster scooter after the upgrade, I just hope I have further range. Plan on taking this to work and my trip will average 24 miles. I did also purchase the wire kit. Wish me luck, I’m hoping it all works out.
What’s up Jason?I have a similar scooter, what’s the best mount to buy for my Samsung Android phone?I have the speedometer app.Lol.Great Video man!.A lot of detail and things I should know to take care of my scooter!
@@Scentedstyle yeah it's hard to go wrong, but they were asking for the best mount. Ram mounts (x-grip),are super fast to mount/dismount and my phone never rattles or anything while on my motorcycle. very durable also.
Hi thanks for the great vid and info. I've been looking at battery upgrade options for my scooter and was just wondering. My scooter uses 4 12V 6-DZM-12 acid lead batteries. A Lithium upgrade is very pricy but I was wondering is upgrading to 6-DZM-20 batteries an option/possible?
Done some further research. Unfortunately looks like 6-DZM-20s are a larger physical size/format that will not fit in the battery bay :( But it turns out 6-DZM-15 are the same physical dimensions as the stock 6-DZM-12s :) Not enough of a jump up in capacity though to justify the upgrade cost, but I will definitely replace stock batteries with 6-DZM-15s when stock batteries die unless Li-Ion batteries have dropped to a more affordable price by then! :)
My uberscoot16 has recently been putting around slowly stop n go ...I've just finished swapping out the throttle assembly witch hasnt fixed the issue....i can pick rear wheel up off ground n it seems to spin normal up until the wheel touches ground then its stop n go......any suggestions on what to do please I've tried swapping the throttle assembly with no luck

I only want to potter along slowly on the pavements. Thinking about getting a bigger rear sprocket set up as I think it should increase run time when just ambling about.
No, don't waste money, just buy it and accelerate carefully as you need, of course lower speed saves battery as motor turns slower, if you replace the rear sprocket with a bigger one the motor needs to rev faster, think about it.
@@fatfat6389 indeed, I am kinda comparing to my RC cars and their brushless and lithium power. Thanks. Do you know if the 1000 watt motor on the Chaos 48 volt is lipo compatible as the weight diffrence and run time are big factors for me not being in best health. Thanks.
I don't know particularly for Chaos 48 volt, nor for Lipo for sure, but all motors should work with standard e-bike Li-ion batteries, it just matters from their controllers. Should be the same for Lipo as well, just need to have the right controller I guess.
Jason Evo! I just bought the 48v 1600w! I could've SWORN u did a vid on swapping out the control box, but I don't see it? Anyway, what are the specs on the controller u used? I can only find 48v 1500w controllers, with 38 or more amps. Thanks for any help u can provide.
The 1500w is the same as 1600w. My controller I got form AliExpress is a 1500/1600w 40amps. I would recommend to go with the higher amps Aldo 38 is still good 40 is better try not to go any higher

You can get a lithium battery from AliExpress check out my other video for link or anyplace you find a 48v lithium battery
Jason Evo is it hard to install the upgrade battery?
Awsome video brother! Thanks a million! Ive got a 36v 1000w scooter and i love it. Had to buy new batteries 2 months agio and the range was amaizing until ive noticed it lasting less, and takes less time to charge. Sounds like a battery is faulty. I have informed the shop and ill be taking it for an inspection next week. Thing is. They can only check battery volts and not ah. 🤔 Ill see what they say then.
On another note, where dis you get that battery from? What make is it so i could ask about it at my local battery shop? Thanks a lot once again dude.
Bat's from China
awesome job on how to trouble shoot your hole scooter gave you thumbs up on this 1 .. You will see a bit more range and power :)
at 48:30 i like your stunt moves ,having fun going home and forgetting you got food in a bag lol
Hello Are you still around just wondering how you install the headlights on the Uberscoot thank you
I just wanna say holy crapp thank you for taking the time to teach me so much about scooters I didn't know before especially the Uber scooter holy crapp thank you very very detailed,
Can you guide me on replacement lithium batteries for my 48V Go-Bowen electric scooter. Thanks.
My 1,000 w scooter batteries are dead. I need to replace my battery. It was 12v 12ah but I can use 12v 15ah instead?
Bro your response to that drunk dude at the end was amazing, just rode my uberscoot for the first time today and I love it. The chain is kinda loud though should I be worried that it's too tight? It doesn't have much play in it but it can be moved. It's the way it came out of the box so I didn't know if should mess with it.
Try WD40 spray or chain wax lube its probably loud bc uts squeaking or something but just try.
Got the same type E-scooter. One in choosing & Slo are, same bodies.
How do u change the engine sprocket ⚙️ is it all one piece?
*Jason Evo, you're awesome man! Thanks so much for this very helpful information!*
Thanks Chris, I'm happy to help
@@Scentedstyle You're certainly welcome Jason. I come to your channel often to get as much information as I can about my 1600W Uberscoot and you were the one got got me started in this AWESOME sport in the first place! *Thank You*
On another note, I was wondering if you can also help me with a problem I've been having.........Every once in a while when, say I'm sitting at a red light and the light turns green, when I open the throttle, my scooter will not respond. This lead to more frequent times it would do this which then led to all 3 lights shutting off when I tried to open the throttle and finally the 3rd stage came with the scooter showing no signs of life when I turned the ignition on (on a fully charged battery.)
At that point I figured I needed to order a new control board (which btw takes freakin' forever because every store online in the USA gets sold out of those in a matter of days!) When that control board finally came in, I switched it out for the old control board and I was having no problems until a few days ago when suddenly it starts doing the same damn thing at a traffic light, LOL!
Those controllers you see in this video are bought because i had the same issue as you, my throttle stopped working i figured it was the controller i swapped it out turned on the scooter it turned for about 5 seconds and died- turned out the throttle had a faulty wire (in my case a burnet wire hardly noticeable) and it caused my new controller to fry so i swapped out the throttle and changed the controller to 38amps controller and its been more than a year and no problems at all
Since you the 1600w and the lithium battery i would highly recommend that you upgrade your controller to this 40A from aliexpress two downsides to it, one its missing the wire for the indicator for the batteries light but since you have lithium you don't need it as you know you'll probably get tired before the lithium dies. Two the shipping takes between 2-3Weeks if you can live without the battery light go with this controller you'll get more power and speed
took a while but i found it

@@Scentedstyle OH COOL!! So I get even more power and speed now! This is great and it's because of these inside tips like this that I keep coming back to your channel! Thanks again for the advise man!
One question about switching out the throttle.......Is it really easy to swap out like the control board or is it a lot more complicated? If it's really hard, do you have a video on how to do it?
Thanks bro for all your support these videos are for you guys and its my pleasure to help
DAMN IT i know i forgot something. I should have included how to swap out the controller but its not hard if you do it correctly
what you want to do is remove one harness/wire at a time and reconnect it to the new controller do it step by step you wont have any problems
the throttle is pretty simple as it comes with the correct harnesses so you just plug it in to the same ones you remove from the controller
if you have trouble just let me know and i'll make a video on it
What is the red button under the battery range indicator?
Hi Buddy, Thanks for taking your time and post these helpful videos. are you running 30 mph or 30 km per hour. by looking it seems like 30mph.
Hi. Thanks for the video. What app are you using for the speedometer? Didn’t find an Uberscoot one. Thanks.
hello Jason , I was watching your video after losing almost half an hour watching videos that did not help me at all. in my case I bought a used 1000W 48V Evo Electric Scooters from 2015. after watching your video I would like to know if it is possible to modify it to a 1600w, what dou you recommend? thanks for the videos Bro
Ciao.. Complimenti bellissimo e velocissimo.. Posso chiederti che pezzi hai messo per farlo correre così?
Hey dude. Just inquiring. Have you done a full review of the fat tier scooter??
So I have done well with my 2500w 60v scooter sweet next buy in few years am.ok.now
Can you please put the link for brake pads need to replace mine!
Wish me luck, I’m hoping it all works out.
how did it all work out ??
i have the 60v battery shit ...
Why would u prefer a chain driven scooter?
At 37:25 , please be careful while cutting these and make sure they do not touch . Cut one at a time and solder 1 at a time .
Hey Jason, I was wondering if you have done a comparison of the 1000 and the 1600 without the lithium battery?
What’s up Jason?I have a similar scooter, what’s the best mount to buy for my Samsung Android phone?I have the speedometer app.Lol.Great Video man!.A lot of detail and things I should know to take care of my scooter!
Ram mounts are the best. they have configurations for every possible mounting scenario.
I have the cheapest mount from eBay which works great just type in bike mounts.
@@Scentedstyle yeah it's hard to go wrong, but they were asking for the best mount. Ram mounts (x-grip),are super fast to mount/dismount and my phone never rattles or anything while on my motorcycle. very durable also.
turtlepowersf Thanks to both you guys! Will try both “Ebay” and Ram mounts, X-grip!
Thank you so much for the great information!
Hi, how do you remove the break levelers, i would appreciate your help. thanks
Are you referencing the amps in the battery or the controller when calculating peak power?
Hi thanks for the great vid and info. I've been looking at battery upgrade options for my scooter and was just wondering. My scooter uses 4 12V 6-DZM-12 acid lead batteries. A Lithium upgrade is very pricy but I was wondering is upgrading to 6-DZM-20 batteries an option/possible?
Yes it’s possible it will in crease your range from 12 miles to 20 miles
Done some further research. Unfortunately looks like 6-DZM-20s are a larger physical size/format that will not fit in the battery bay :( But it turns out 6-DZM-15 are the same physical dimensions as the stock 6-DZM-12s :) Not enough of a jump up in capacity though to justify the upgrade cost, but I will definitely replace stock batteries with 6-DZM-15s when stock batteries die unless Li-Ion batteries have dropped to a more affordable price by then! :)
I put a 52 volt lithium battery and now it flies so far so good running awesome.
now i know how do a burnout. Unplug orange and white cable
Anyone know what is the correct name for the original battery connector ? Example the phone line socket plug is called RJ45. Thanks
Can you make the long stem shorter?
Could you make a video on how to do the conversion please
Are the colour codes always the same? please someone reply
no
My uberscoot16 has recently been putting around slowly stop n go ...I've just finished swapping out the throttle assembly witch hasnt fixed the issue....i can pick rear wheel up off ground n it seems to spin normal up until the wheel touches ground then its stop n go......any suggestions on what to do please

Hey what wire do I remove for the speed limiter?

Just Purchased Bullet 1000 Watt wanting more power. It’s came with 4 x12 v lead Acid. Can I up grade the battery to 1600 watt lipo battery? . Very informative vid will change my rear Gear drive ! ?
If you want punch get lipo but get lion for better distance and lions are not bombs like lipo lmao
@@fatfat6389 I will look into it when I talk with Funbikes UK as they are sending my fixed Chaos tomorrow 😋

Yeah, I followed the link for the controller on Aliexpress. They r out of stock(of course) I wanted to just do a lithium upgrade, but the budget won't allow that expense right now. So I'll just do the controller upgrade. Thanks for the response, info, and great vids! These things are a BLAST!

Hi maybe you can help me I have a 1000 watt EVO scooter which love but I haven't rode in 3 or 4 years because one day coming home from the store the chain came off. So I backtrack and found the chain but the chain clip was gone it took me months to get a new one. The cause of the problem was the the tension clasp bent I see on you scooter a different design and it looks good. I was wonder if I could incorporate that system on my scooter or find some steel clasp instead of the aluminum soft metal to keep back wheel axle strate in line so the chain don't pop off. Do you understand what I'm talking about rear axle adjusters.
I have the 1000 watt scooter and I need a new chain where do I find the right size please reply
How do you pump up the back tire?

So I haven't seen anything about an IP rating. Being a chain driven motor. Can this be riden in the rain ?
Where did you get the battery from
Can you upgrade the battery? Or will that mess with the scooter
