here’s what i love about c, xoxo: its experimental and camila trusted the creative process with her producers. camila knows she can easily put out palatable pop music that’s formulaic and will be loved by the GP but camila chose to put something out that felt most artistically fulfilling to her even if that meant some people won’t get the “weirdness” behind the album for another 2 or 3 years.
You can see that she is totally sincere and says everything that comes into her head in the sweetest way possible. She's so humble, honest, lovable, direct and down to earth that I can't unlike her 🫶🏻
im listening to this interview again. its some kind of therapy of seeing someone being so invested in the making the art not necessarily to be a pop girl but just really the driven passion, overcoming challenges of being the sole writer of the album and not caring about people's narratives. its intentional and i love that about her. this is why i can never be invested in another artist rather than camila because she excites me with versatility

The level of research, visual absorption, and lived experience she cosumes for the sake of writing a song proves that her singing behind it is emotionally invested.
