    Your channel is a gold mine. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I have been having issues for about 10 months, went to a gastroenterologist. Got some relief, for which I am grateful, but I am not even close to being the way I was before. I would think about all the things there are to know about gut, as I realized I will have to be my own doctor. Jokingly I would say, well there is a profession in this wishing there was a proper practitioner actually specializing in gut health (like what gastroenterologists are supposed to be)! Well there is, and you are it. Thank you, thank you, thank you! You are giving me a lot of plausible, hopeful and clear courses of action.

    Hi Todd Byron, ? How much ginger would you say is good for bad constipation atleast 3000mg? For a few weeks. Is broomilen from pineapple any good? And as far as senna goes that's what I've used the most over more than a yr, as I felt to backed up. But you are not the only one I've heard say no to Senna. Why is that? So I'm not going to use it anymore. I will try turkey tail. You are awesome, you explain things so that others can really understand! 😊 I appreciate that.

    Hypothetically speaking, if a patient had no gall bladder, daily stools but not completely emptying, hard time losing weight despite eating healthy, solid stools but not those bulky ones, strongly suspecting h2s sibo AND methane sibo, what might be a good combo? Thinking phgg, dandelion and or burdock for gallbladder, turkey rhubarb to start it all off, oregano oil capsules to combat both types of sibo, atrantil for methane (maybe some allimax when it comes back in stock), lots of ginger for motility, g. artichoke for gallbladder and some walking?

    I love this video and I keep referring back to this one. Thank you so much! 2 years ago I worked with an herbalist who wasn’t interested in discovering/treating any underlying overgrowths but I learned a ton from him. He put me on very low dose chinese rhubarb reum palmatum which helped my BMs and greatly helped my sleep until it didn’t. I was on it probably 1 - 2 months(?) before it stopped working. Turkey Rhubarb is very intriguing to me and I want to take it again but I have a question.
    Question: Now that I understand that turkey rhubarb is in the same category as Senna and should be short term and get off asap, how long is it safe to take but also effective?

    • @ByronHerbalist
      @ByronHerbalist  Рік тому

      Good question! That varies from patient to patient. I would look to get the foundations in place and transition as quickly as possible, sometimes that is 2 weeks, other times that’s 2 months

      There are several problems with coffee for histamine intolerance - it can be the fermented beans, mould, or the caffeine that are the culprits, or directly sensitivity to the histamine coffee contains. A lot of histamine intolerants are hyper sensitive to coffee. Some can tolerate occasional cups of decaf. I switched to Dandelion root & now I love it. Hey Doc, what if your case is so severe that Senna is the only thing that seems to do anything. I've literally been using 1-2 caps of restorolax a day, and NOTHING. Feels like my large int. is 100% in hibernation unless I take Senna or manually slap myself around or use a "Subpac" (subwoofer backpack for audio production) to literally wake it up with sonic waves lol. Severe methane SIBO suspected, an ungodly gas to food ratio which can produce gas for 12-16 hours after a single mistake snack. Doctors baffled, nothing on blood tests / x-rays, FODMAPS and carbs destroy me. A few nights ago I literally hit 100% capacity and could no longer hydrate myself as my stomach couldn't empty due to the backup (while I had been on almost on a complete liquid diet for days). Had to go to the ER and get a horrific enema that felt like I got run over by a steamroller repeatedly, which was legitimately traumatizing, I was 100% convinced that it was going to be all blood coming out of me and was pleasantly surprised that I didn't see any BUT it feels like it totally cut up my... exit, so now I am terrified to even have a movement 😢. Anything I can get OTC to heal as much as possible / prevent further injury before?

    Great video. I have been adding cumin to things like hummus and baba ganoush. I live off of ginger but too much of it, including too much dandelion root tincture can cause reflux rather than helping to move things downward and onward. Just bought the dandelion root "coffee" and am excited to try it. I have regular dandelion tea and bitters that contain it so not sure it's the dandelion in the tincture blend that causes the reflux. I do a cold infusion of marshmallow which is great for general hydration and is soothing. The naturopath I am working with suggested PHGG/Sunfiber and I am looking forward to trying it. I do a couple tsps of freshly ground flaxseeds a day but was a bit concerned to learn about phytic acid. Would you please consider doing a video on triphala if that's something you use.
