I found your channel by searching for how to play this game. This was a big help; I plan to try it out later today. Thanks for the fun informative vid!
That swirly effect made my head turn! 😂 I heard you guys say so much good stuff about the game, I actually purchased and received it yesterday (what are the odds!), and I can’t wait to play it with my girlfriend!
I was thinking Saturn and marble for "swirly", but also... "sphere" for both those things...?? (Closest other I saw would be apple, but those aren't actually spheres...) Fun playthrough! Thanks 😊
That's why we love playing this game for folks because sitting on the outside it's easier to be objective and see the answers but we're just stuck unable to use your help haha
What I don't understand about the version for two players is why they would be motivated to give clues for more agents at a time. Because the players are not competing against anybody so they don't need to be ahead of others to finish first.
So one thing we may not have made clear enough in the video (and sorry about that) is that you only have 9 clues you can give between the two of you. There are 15 words total that need to be guessed so if you go one at a time you’ll run out of clues you can give so you’re forced to at least find a couple points where you can give a clue that pertains to multiple words
Great video, thanks! I got this game for my wife and I to play together at Christmas, and being on the wrong side of several gin and tonics this was far more useful than attempting to read the rules. Merry Christmas!
Help me understand a rule… it says when a missed guess happens you can put a person on it or if none are left you out two green checks on it. So really you guys had several more turns based on that rule…. Unless I’m reading it all wrong
So this one being two player is all about working together and on a more full codenames it’s teams with each clue giver giving clues to their teammates to discuss. In this version there’s the fun thing of having more “assassins” you have to avoid and 3 words are shared between the two of you but you don’t know which ones.
I have regular codenames (2 versions, words and pictures), there must be a way to adapt it to be Duet without buying it again. BTW - I like the way you 2 emphasise the fun of a game and don't get all snobby like TV at DT is prone to. You remember that folks are just folks looking for some fun.
Thinking about this semi-glorified pile of words really angers me. I can't think of a more overrated game or something that annoyed me as much as this does. Could have been replaced by a block of Post-its...
“Hospitals have doors Mike” 😂 the best great job guys! Duet is the best Codenames hands down.

Hey thanks for being here!!!
Are you sure it's only 1 extra guess? I thought for the Duet version, you could keep guessing until you get it wrong or decide to stop.
I believe you’re correct!

That was risky with Country 2 as Bermuda is a country as well. Lol

+1 tiles does not apply in this version. You can guess more than one extra unless you guess incorrectly.
this is true
other than hospital 2... i got all your clues in a heartbeat. great clues boys :)
You guys are great. Really enjoyed this.
Love the playthrough. I literally was screaming the word "door" to my phone at the end there. So obvious 😂. Thanks. It was great to watch.

And you know it's a fantastic game when it is as much fun playing as it is watching others play the game 👍.
This is a really fun game. Great for date nights, or with a kid, or grandparent, or whatever!
It's always such a good time
I thought hospital clue was for game...for dice hospital! Gah!! Love watching this series 💜

super fun to watch you play, thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
You two are such good dudes!
Awwwwww why thank ya!

HAHA! Glad we could help and can only imagine your play of it was wildly entertaining!
Nurse and door - mayby "emergency room"? If multi-word clues are allowed.
Alas the one word limit makes life so much tougher
Can't recall... would "ER" be kosher under Codename rules? (Also FBI, CIA, ATM, etc...)
Help me understand a rule… it says when a missed guess happens you can put a person on it or if none are left you out two green checks on it. So really you guys had several more turns based on that rule…. Unless I’m reading it all wrong
Love your vids. Great bro energy!
Thank you! Got 30+ years of practice at it
I’m debating between this version and the original. How do they compare?

I thought it was pad for prescription pad. Nice try fellas. I still enjoy the original one with a big group

much appreciated we do always try to emphasize the fun so we are glad that is coming through!
Heartthrob. I had that as a preteen.
6th time's the charm. Hospital door. I bet the Gamehaus also has doors
Gamehaus wishes it has doors. it has one of those beaded curtains as an entrance
@@TheBrothersMurph oh makes sense, traditional German architecture loves those beaded curtains
Loved it
There’s 3 countries and he only says 2? That was an easy extra grab if he said 3!
I'm going to assume there was some next level strat for why we didn't do that. Chalk it up to our genius
@@TheBrothersMurph it is what it is lol. I’m the midst of a game we all do stuff like that lol
I was thinking of getting this for my brother and his wife but now worried it will lead to divorce 😁
High risk high reward for that Codenames Duet
