I'm so glad you got it. During the '80 we didn't have the same "problems" we deal with today, but isn't it gold that our past can give us a better perspective going forward?
Hi, thanks for reacting to A-HA. I have been an A-HA fan for 39 years now. They are a criminally unappreciated and underrated band that consist of 3 men from Oslo, Norway. All are talented musicians and songwriters and have released 11 albums the latest one being in 2022. A-HA are always evolving and changing and no two songs sound the same. I’ve seen them live in Scotland where i’m from and England and they are brilliant. I hope you’ll react to more of their music especially Summer Moved On live at the Oslo Spektrum you’ll be blown away as it contains the longest note held and got them a guinness world record for it. Take care 😘🏴 ❤️🇳🇴❤️A-HA FOREVER❤️🇳🇴❤️
A-ha was very popular around Europe and even more popular in South-America (Brazil especially). They actually had the Guiness world of records of most paying attendance at an outdoor concert (198.000) at «Rock in Rio» in 1991. It was funny that people at that festival chose to attend the concert of a band from Norway over bands/artists like Guns’n Roses, Prince, INXS, Run DMC, Joe Cocker, Billy Idol, Faith no more, George Michael/Wham, Judas Priest, NKOTB etc...They all played at the same festival but A-ha drew the most attendance. Their first single was released in 1984 and 40 years later, their latest album released in 2024 «True North». They have kept their famous sound for all these years. That says something about how timeless their music is. Its a shame so many people only think of them because of «Take on me» when they had so many great songs. You have probably heard a few more of their wongs. They had the title theme song to James Bond «The living daylights» in 1987. You should react to some of their other songs. The 3 members of A-ha are now all in their 60’s. Morten Harket, who is 65, is the lead singer who was every girls dream-man (he was the one starting the trend with leather bracelets in the 80’s/90’s). He still keeps himself in good shape and has still an amazing voice.
Nice reaction, Saeed. I think it's cool that you get to see some of these classics by A-ha. Very much the sound of the era, but often combined with excellent lyrics for those who care to listen. The man who wrote most of their music is called Pål Waaktaar, and he is a genius in his own right. An ARTist of high quality 😊 Love from Norway ♥♥♥♥♥ (And thank you, Kari, for requesting it 👍👍👍)
Their live performance of "Summer Moved On" at Oslo Spektrum in 2010 is brilliant. Epically long note held by Marten and I love the arrangement, more so than the studio version.
So this performance was part of a 25 date tour of South America. Total combined audience of over 3 million fans, including 198,000 record breaking attendance in Rio . It was released as a 10 track vhs kind of documentary, the audio all from one show, but as you notice in the video the picture is from several concerts
Out sold the likes of guns and roses and George Michael during the rock in Rio festival were a-ha set that 198,000, guns and rose and George Michael got around 60,000 each
Thank you Saeed! Could it be that the line you recognized is from U2's Beautiful Day? They shamelessly borrowed from "The sun always shines on TV". A-ha is an amazing band, and as I wrote to you earlier, they have many songs that focus on the difficult things in life, but also on moving on. I love them!
Oooh!!! Now I have 2 reasons to follow you!!! Voiceplay and a-ha. The latter being my all time favourite band. They have released 11 studio albums over 40 years and I have them all. Prolific, talented and Morten Harket one of the best vocalists ever. Thanks Kari!🌹🕊
Aha have Many songs great : Manhattan skyline , swing of things , objects in the mirror ,cast in Steel , rolling thunder , you ll never get over me , Solace , white canvas , i ve been losing you , hunting high AND law, i am in AND More !!!
Hi , I love watching good reactions to my favorite band and my favorite singer. Welcome to the a-ha universe, I hope you will continue and I can assure you that you will be surprised again! 😅
Who are you talking about? They were an amazing live band. I have been to many of their concert and they were always on tune, so what is your point? Some flaws when artists sings live shows they are actually singing live. You dont think all the touring for 30-40 years can cause problems with the voice from time to time, or them being sick but still performing etc?

another gem on the stoty of music!

Quality reaction.
Thank you!
I think the “touch me” bit you recognized is from U2 “beautiful day”. It is very similar and people said it was plagiat
I think you are right and thats where i knew it from.
Homage or Plaguerism. Its a thin line.
Please react to Talk Talk - Such A Shame (Live in Montreux)
Thanks for the recommendation!
Да все фальшивят, два раза была на а-, ха , точнее никто в ноты не попадает
