I love watching your cooking videos! Can you maybe do/incorporate camp cleanup into a video? I would love to cook more in the backcountry, but live/camp in bear country regularly, which keeps me a home food prep/minimalist...
I love the videos where you are low key at a camp site and cooking. They are sooo relaxing! I got most of our camping tips from your videos when we first started camping 2 yrs ago!
Dear fellow camping cooking aficionado: a few years ago I retired the old white gas Coleman stove I had used (formerly my father’s) and I invested in Genisis stove by jetboil. Next to my amazing cooler (Engel), it has brought me supreme camping cooking joy.
I’m preparing for a PNW road-trip this summer. It’ll be my first road trip and watching your vids has been really helpful. Thanks for the great content!
I'd love a video some time on maintaining camping equipment. Like how do you clean your cast iron while at camp? how do you make help your gear last the long haul?
Great ideal, thanks. We have an „omnia“ (I don‘t know id you know that in the States, it‘s a scandinavian Kind of an oven). The dutch oven would be to Heavy for our van (3,5t limitation in Europe). We‘ve also Fried the preboiled rice on our Trip to norway. And we precooked baked potatoes and sealed them in plastic bags (I don‘t know the english word for that) because it is forbiden to bring raw potatoes to Norway.
I love a little bit of grilled chicken and rice with my Pineapple Salsa!! Looks absolutely delicious. Who says you can't eat well while camping. You make it easy with having the right kitchen tools, fresh ingredients, and some prep beforehand. Love all of your recipes! Thanks, Amanda, for the great camping videos!😊🍚🍍🍗🏕
I’m starting to binge watch your videos again in anticipation of our first camping trip of the season in 5 weeks! So excited!! And your videos have not only given me soooo much needed info, but they are also relaxing, inspiring and get me in the mood to be outdoors in my happy place more, even when we aren’t actually going camping. Just being outdoors soothes me. Thanks so much Amanda!❤❤❤
I dont know if you grow cilantro or not but its very easy to grow. It comes back saying "Hello I havent gone anywhere!" It is self sowing and is a beautiful delicate and flowery plant. Put it where it can have space and youll have a whole bed of it!
If you’d recommend it, what’s the coffee bean grinder your using? I didn’t see it listed anywhere. Thank you I’m new here so I might be asking questions that have already been answered but… Do you ever use a reflector oven? It’s my favorite campfire method to use. I’ve roasted chickens, beef roast, pork tenderloins, fruit pies etc. Pretty much anything you’d cook in your oven at home, you can prepare in a reflector oven. Most people think they’re only for biscuits lol
I just discovered powdered scrambled eggs. Game changer for limited (non-existent) cooler/ice camping. Pre-measure into snack ziplock bags, add a little water into the bad, swish and massage, and cook. It leaves room in the small cooler for frozen meats and some fresh veggies. Some fruits also do well with no refrigeration for several days, as do canned veg and fruit.
New subscriber here. Hello from the PNW! Your video just came across my feed and Your meals looked amazing. This was so fun to watch. Will definitely be trying your pineapple salsa with grilled chicken! Thank you!
We have had a somewhat rainy & windy winter in the Blue Ridge Mtns. of Southwest Va. (Meadows of Dan). Had a couple of ice storms with just a dusting of snow. Looking forward to nicer weather to get out and go camping, fishing, kayaking and the best of all outdoor adventures is horseback riding. Will definitely be trying out some of your camp cooking this year. 🙂🙂🙂
This looks like a great camping menu. Hats off to you for brining a fresh, whole pineapple to the backcountry. I would make it ahead for sure to avoid the mess, but I’d keep the pineapple separate until last minute as the enzyme in pineapple are quite strong and would start breaking down the other ingredients and make them all mushy. You make me want to have a pizookie right now! Thanks for all you share!
Love the look of these meals! I just subscribed today based on your video from 2 years ago about hiking footwear! Not sure if you know, but you can roll your lime around a little between your hands. It helps wake up the juices making it way easier to squeeze! :)
Omg , we eat alike, meaning I love avocados, fried over-easy eggs, breakfast sausage , but I use tortillas 😊. Love your channel. Even though I have been camping for many years, I still learn new things, thank you. Just came back from Joshua Tree National Park. Camped 3 nights with my 2 sons and 2 nephews. Showing them the great outdoors. I forgot my gas grill!!😂 Luckily I brought my Lodge Charcoal grill, but that was tiring using it for breakfast and lunch.
How do you know how many briquettes to use and how long? You mentioned in a video once you could control the heat when using briquettes, is there a video on this?? Thanks
... Enjoy your video's ..... Thoroughly love the car (base)camp meals ... learning something new or different with pretty much every video ... With Nick getting to be the taste tester ,, I'm surprised he's not big as a barn ,, I know I would be ....
I love that sound of my camp stove in the morning! I'm going to Pinnacles this weekend and camping. I'm totally going to make those cookies in my dutch oven!! We'll have them for dessert and maybe for breakfast the next morning, too. ;)
I made the cookies!! AMAZING! Browning the butter made these cookies so, so, delicious! I did burn a corner because it was too close to the wood burning in the fire pit because it was freezing out and I forgot to rotate the dutch oven regularly, but most of the cookie was baked to perfection. Pro tip: the cookie is so good dipped in coffee the next morning. ;)
Hey Amanda! I just recently discovered your AMAZING channel and...dare I say I have literally been binge watching all of your videos love them so much!! Please do not EVER stop making videos!! I love everything you share....the beautiful places you have hiked and of course all the YUMMY foods you make for your trips! Im 58 years old and live in Upstate NY but have been to Colorado (my daughter lives there!) and Utah in the last few years and have just recently discovered my love of the mountains and hiking! (its never too late right?) Your videos give me such peace and make me smile -thank you so much! I am headed to Colorado again to visit my daughter at the end of May - Im wondering - do you ever get there at all? I know when we visited Arches National Park in Nov 2021 it was about a 6 hour drive from Denver but SO worth it! Was the most incredible experience of my life! Thank you again for your wonderful videos - you and Nick are great! (that is my son's name too by the way!) 🙂❤
I used to be one of the people that didn't like cilantro because it tasted like soap to me, but pregnancy changed that so now I love it. Crazy how that can work.
I would love to see a video like “Camping Tips they don’t tell you” for how to store trash, use the bathroom, etc. New camper who needs help figuring out all the little things that may be obvious!
Thanks for watching! For more camping meal ideas, snag my free Camp Cooking Starter Kit here 👉 go.amandaoutside.com/camp-cooking-starter-kit Enjoy!
We should all enjoy coffee outdoors with freshly ground beans.
I agree 🤗 Thank you for your support!
💯
Love that you embrace a camp day… reading, naps and cooking. Essence of camping.
Love that Nick is a lot more comfortable in front of the camera.
Love you two!

I'm not a big coffee drinker, but man did that opening make me want to brew some to drink in the great outdoors!
Without coffee I would simply devolve into a rodent-like creature hiding from the sun. It would be horrible.
Howdy from North Florida 👋. I just found you and am so happy! This is my kind of video and great music!
I’m preparing for a PNW road-trip this summer. It’ll be my first road trip and watching your vids has been really helpful. Thanks for the great content!
That sounds awesome! Nick and I have been talking about a road trip out to the PNW. I've never been! I'm so glad the videos have been helpful!

Made my mouth water on several occasions!

Where is that little zipper ditty bag you were using from? What is it made out of? Having a hard time finding something like that online

Fabulous!what little sun there is feels so good.
I was craving the sunshine!! It sure was a nice change from the snowy mountains. 😁
Love these videos! I bought a 2qt cast iron saucepan with a lid and use it more than my Dutch Oven. Take a look into trying one out.

Awesome. Everything looks so good. The cookie looks amazing.
great content! I love looking at other people's food/prep ideas for inspiration.
Awesome video. Everything looked great except cilantro. Lol those meals were a 10 out of a 10. Yum
Cool video! Did you make the little camping table? Super cute!
Great, super great video as usual. Cannot wait to try the pineapple salsa/ salad. It looks so good and easy.
It's so delicious and it definitely gave me feelings of summer! I'm working on getting a written recipe for everything up on the blog this week. 🤗
Man all that food looks good for real
Y’all should come camping in Australia 😊
I would be interested in details on this book!
The food photography book? It's called Picture Perfect Food by Joanie Simon. She also has a great UA-cam channel called The Bite Shot!
Your food & snacks look good and awesome.
I am VERY intrigued by your shoes?! What are those??? (Loved the video also ;)
Of you don’t mind me asking what are the shoes you’re wearing in this video! They look so comfortable!
They are the new Bedrock clogs!
Thank you
I like to do breakfast for dinner at camp. I also like to do breakfas for breakfast!
I used to be one of the people that didn't like cilantro because it tasted like soap to me, but pregnancy changed that so now I love it. Crazy how that can work.
Apple and peanut butter is the best!
Did you set the Dutch oven on top of charcoal coals as well as put briquettes on top?
I put briquettes underneath and on top of the dutch oven for baking the cookie 🤗
@@amanda.outside ok, great! Thanks! Will try this summer.
I enjoy your videos!
Glad you like them! Thank you for commenting!

I can smell your video! That opening (:
Great 👍🏽
That looked amazing! Who says camp meals have to be hot dogs and beans. Now I need a chocolate chip cookie 🍪 😋
...cool video keep up the great content.. Thank you…
Lots of good looking food! You're definitely not in Northern Utah right now. Lol
Does the cookie dough not need to be refrigerated? If not, can you share the recipe? Lol
Ever cook low carb / gluten free?
You do you, but WHY green peppers when red, yellow, and orange are SO much better!! 🙂
Yummy I would have cooked the sausage before the eggs like my eggs warm…
No flies, no flying insects, too cold? … couple of good cooking/food tips … 👍🏼
where are you from ? 🙂
🍍🍪
Hey,
Do you need a video editor?
