I, for one, am happy to have been alive when they started to get "noticed". It did make me very sad when they broke up but, as time went by and I learned what actually happened, it was a good thing. "All things must pass"- George
One of the great Beatles tracks. Of a piece with their entire catalog. George could hold his head high forever on this track alone. Just beautiful, and what a sentiment.
I wish John would have added his usual middle harmony like he did on Think For Yourself and If I Needed Someone. I believe John had pretty much checked out of the band by early August 1969. Focusing (with George mind you) on tidying up I Want You (She's So Heavy) before quiting the band (quitely-because Allen Klein asked him to not go public) all together shortly after Abbey Roads release. RNB
@@vox1962 Hi vox1962. Sad but true. At least they gave us Sun King and Because as a going away present. Lord knows from Revolver through the Get Back sessions those fab 3-part lead vocal harmonies were virtually nonexistent. Cheers, RNB
It's a great song, but if it was done outside of the Beatles it wouldn't have been nearly as good as it was. Paul's bass and back vocals, Ringo's drumming, George Martin's strings arrangements. The Beatles staff and infra-structure performed miracles.
There's no John (or very little) on most of George's White album tracks and he's hardly on any George tracks going back to Revolver. He did contribute to Taxman (lyrics) and apparently this caused a little bit of tension between the two over the years .....
I don’t think they did “I, Me, Mine” in early ‘70. I think that and all of “Let it Be” was recorded in early ‘69 before the shelved it. In fact, i don’t believe the Beatles were never all 4 together after 1969.
@@BeatlesBible1 Wow. Was that the only “Let it Be” track that they did in ‘70, or were there others? I always thought they broke up in the fall of ‘69. But I guess John just left the bromance.
I HATE summers!! That TERRIBLE HOT HEAT!!! But I AM HAPPY for anyone who can enjoy summers! And, I did enjoy them when I was a schoolboy, but not NO MORE, especially in my old age with all my health issues. And I know a LOT of people suffer through summers ALSO!! Sorry to be such a buzz-kill. Guess maybe I should'a kept my big mouth closed?
Bummer you feel that way dear Sir or Madam, but I’m guessing most people in the UK, which has those “long, cold, lonely winters” are dang happy for spring 😂
It is something to hear that interview with John where he talks so favorably about a song he did not have a hand in the recording of.
I feel this way every spring. "It feels like years since it's been here."
These photos of George are terrific. Bravo on the video!

What a talent George was!
Amazing piece of art from an amazing human being. George is sorely missed.
The most popular Beatles' song streamed globally on Spotify by a long way is this one. Funny that!
George always will be remembered as one of the greats love this song and this channel ❤
The only such time in history where the two most popular songs on a Beatles album were written by George Harrison!
Most popular, yes. But also MASTERPIECES!! Both of them!❤
Well done. Great work. Thanks.

As the years progressed, those lovely Beatles harmonies became less and less, and eventually disappeared, very sad

I Still love this Hit
Love these videos! I really like the way everything is presented and condensed.

Good video as usual but, not a word about George Martin"s strings arrangement?
The string arrangement for the Abbey Road album will have its own separate segment. 😃
@@BeatlesBible1 Great idea!
The recording of the isolated strings for "Something" is really beautiful.
And no PID bs in this tune...one of the few
Awesome video from my favorite youtuber have a wonderful day ❤😊
Thanks!

The “I Me Mine” track that appears in Let It Be was recorded by George, Paul, and Ringo in 1970.

All this time and I thought the Capo was on the sixth fret
George saved that album with 2 absolute stunning tracks.
George was my favorite Beatle. Then Ringo. Paul… John hits last. Just my opinion. ❤❤
Your opinion is wrong, just so you know.
@@TangibleAndroid Ok that was pretty funny!
Mine, too: I think I just like angular faces.
I've heard in an interview from a german hare krishna monk who lives with George, that this song and "something" is about the god Krishna
One of these less liked songs. Maybe too light for me. However I love While my guitar...
One of the Few Good songs on that LP. Never was a Fan of "Abbey Road".
I love George , but he broke up The Beatles.
That is a ridiculous theory.
😂😂LMFAO😂😂
