8:04 Also, if your car has a dodgy exhaust system, carbon monoxide can leak into the cabin and that is extremely dangerous and can kill. Danger: DO NOT sleep in your car with the engine on! It wastes fuel, could get you idling fines in some places, and is dangerous because of CO poisoning.
How about opening the door between two floors, block it from inside and sleep in the cabin? If there are at least two lifts no one will care about a non-working one during the night time. Engineers wont come before 7am either. Wouldnt that be a good spot to sleep?
Sleeping inside a disused lift sounds best. An alternative to a mattress would be a Thermarest pad with a sleeping bag on top; the thermarest pads do cost from 50 pounds but it is a one-off expenditure.
I remember seeing lots of designated television sets in lift pits. It was a bit of a craze for a while to throw them down from the second to top floor in various buildings.
I actually fell asleep in a Orona WormDrive I fell asleep for about 45 minutes woke up realised I was on the second floor got out went to my apartment and went back to sleep
8:05 a Prius is very good option for this, as the A/C and heaters can work out of the battery, and the engine kicks on when the battery is low, no I'm not telling you to buy an Prius just to sleep on it but it's something a lot consider if you wanna cheap for sleep and travel a lot by car
Car lifts: better for sleeping and getting out of elements Normal lift: perfect for recharging phone, getting out of elements while awake, curing bordem, eating food. 😂
To be honest Id rather sleep in a hotel room and spend an arm and a leg for it because it would certainly be way safer and you dont have to set up a sleeping bag theres already a full bed in the rooms ready for someone to lay their head on

Better to have the windows just slightly open, yeah it can be hard to keep the warm inside however
What did the engineer say when he found you on top of the lift?
"Tea or coffee?" I hope.

I've known lift pits filled with fire extinguishers, microwaves and items from offices, it was a craze once.🙄
I think it is ok to sleep on a lift shaft.
