Dude I love the Mona Lisa story. Like it just really highlights how terrifying the flood are on a small scale. One interesting theory I’ve also seen about this is that Henry actually let her have the drop pod, as an elite likely wouldn’t fit in the pod designed exclusively for a human. It looks thinner that an elite and shorter too, meaning he likely would have been unable to fit.
Not only that, but he would have been executed on the spot, if not saved for later and cruelly experimented on / interrogated by UNSC that picked up his pod. But they likely did fight to the death.
Probably not, though. Either they took too long and both died when the nuke hit, or Henry killed Lopez, took the pod,and either was found and killed by the Red Horse or ran out of air and died in his pod. Lopez is badass, but she's a normal human with only an out of ammo MA5B to use as a club against an elite.
Technically its not a Human Covenant alliance. Because in Halo 2 sure you had Jackles and Hunters and Grunts fighting with you in Halo 3 its just Elites.
They probably left some forces to guard the ring in case the covenant came back and somehow found a way to activate it. Also you can see the tension with just the Elites and humans so I doubt the Arbiters forces would risk a pointless conflict by having more races there having tensions going higher.
Canonically a lot of Jackals, Grunts and Hunters sided with the Elites but Bungie decided not to show them in game because they were worried about confusing players especially after all the stories of people reflexively shooting the allied hunters and grunts in Halo 2.
They would have had grunts jackals and hunters as well but it wasn't put in the game because it could have been too confusing having you have both allied and friendly grunts jackals and hunters at the same time, so they only focused on the elites
Ooh... been a while since I've read that one, although, I wonder, wasn't that something that had no human intervention? Sorry if I'm wrong, but even though I have the epubs for most books, I haven't read them in 3-4 years, and well, if indeed I'm remembering correctly, then we need to remember that he's specifically talking about human/covenant forces...
Part of what made me really dislike Halo 4 was that since the end of 3 I'd been hoping to see a Human-Postcovenant alliance taking down the warlords that would take advantage of the power/ideological vacuum and seize remaining artifacts, no longer hindered by the religious rules against modifying ancient tech and adapting human tech. Instead we just got a "First Order" style "The covenant are back at full force using the same tactics and weapons exactly the same as before"

It would be I threshing to explore more as the lore shows us the elites actually questioned why the humans had not been offered a place in the covenant. Out of all the races the elites grew to respect rhe humans at least even though they wiped out most of the unsc.

Your narration of this is stellar. It would not be out of place in a WW1 or WW2 documentary mate. I will say that for World War 2, when you consider the talks between the US and Britain. Neither wanted to have to make nice with the Russians. None of the Western governments ultimately liked or adopted Communism. Few people actually liked Stalin, fewer still actually trusted him on the world stage. (Consider the amount of supplies the US actually could have sent on lend lease deals, but ultimately did not make those deals.) He wasn't antagonized because he wasn't being an aggressor initially before 1938/39 with the first half of the Winter War with Finland and the invasion of Poland to the east, and then the Continuation war in 1940 against Finland. But then when you have the biggest facist war machine plowing through you, you're a valuable ally. You're tying up the majority of that war machine. We'll help take the pressure off. Eventually... And the fact that the cold war basically started the second Berlin was sectioned off and hands weren't being shaken, demeanors towards each other quickly changed, tells the story of "Enemy of my enemy is my friend." more than words alone.
Another temporary alliance I particularly like is the one that was made between Spartan black team and a group of covenant to save their own against a rampant monitor of a flood immunity research facility which also had a device that weaponised gravity of something for some reason.
Really hope at some point we get post war humans working alongside more than just Elites and Engineers later down the line. Would love to see Hunters with UNSC armor and weapons.

So counter theory of the 2 marines and two jackles. 3 marines and 2 jackles. Who’s the third marine? The crazed marine. Reason it’s my head canon is that they did fend off the flood temporarily but the fact the human bodies weren’t made into combat forms means there wasn’t a single infection form left. Then how did he get further up? You may ask. Well, adrenaline pumping got him only so far. His mental state deteriorated rapidly and he couldn’t go any further. Which is where we find him.
The statement about WW1 and WW2 is incorrect considering the communists in both wars had very different goals than the allies and it all eventually boiled down to the cold war. The germans and the entete both fought the red army in WW1 to stop the spread of communism and in WW2 the soviets only joined the allies because they couldnt fight germany alone.
Funny you use ww2 as an example of the enemy of my enemy is my friend as being rare. Really, the soviets and allies always were enemies, it was that exact principle that made them into our allies
Great video, though I disagree with how you characterized WWII. That war was absolutely about enemies becoming allies to fight a common enemy. The United States, Britain, France, China and others were all Imperialist capitalist countries. The Soviet Union and a large amount of the Partisan forces throughout the conflict were Socialist, Anarchist, Communist, and various other Left wing ideologies. The Allies and The Comintern were enemies and resumed fighting immediately after the war was over. Hell they fought a little even during the war if you want to include various resistance groups that were funded by or shared the views of the British or the Soviets.
There is one other alliance that I can think of. The Graphic Novel "Halo: Blood Line" where Forerunner sentinels took Spartan and Covenant troops and the remainder of the two forces teamed up for a rescue mission.
please for the love of all that is holy please use footage with higher fps please there's so many clips in this video where the footage is low fps its really jarring , 5:20 for example 8:0014:00
This, is why I hated everything post h3. Everything you worked towards was just thrown away. The allyship with the elites felt like a natural conclusion & was rewarding as a player but the reset button was hit just to fight the elites in a boring game, even though the elites redesigned looked like brutes, acted like brutes, fought like brutes…. They should have just used brutes.
This is why I fell in love with Halo, the lore and the little stories.
Thanks for the mention and hopefully we can do other things in the future :)

Will you be doing a Halo Outcasts spoiler talk?
*I’m surprised you didn’t mention the Insurrectionists giving the Covenant information about the Spartans in the hopes that they would be destroyed.*
I'd be interested in learning more about the lore leading up to and culminating in the battle at and destruction of Instalation 0 (The Greater Ark)
This is it, baby. Hold me.
Human nationalism probably exists as an ideology in the halo universe
10:25 the space birbs could have easily been humans best pals ♥ 🐔. Had to stop at 18:44. Im behind on the books.
Question, how much of a strain did humanity put onto the covenant during the years of the war
That animation is top tier
4:52 not chill
Patrick Rimmer?
I BARELY KNOW HER
im not sure if its youtube compression or whatever but the framerate of your background gameplay is not good, aside from thatawesome video

Is the Not Pipi channel link broken?
What did that red elite do to deserve getting whacked in the face?
The statement about WW1 and WW2 is incorrect considering the communists in both wars had very different goals than the allies and it all eventually boiled down to the cold war. The germans and the entete both fought the red army in WW1 to stop the spread of communism and in WW2 the soviets only joined the allies because they couldnt fight germany alone.
Only a dead bug is a good bug
I always love story time
What about black team?
The Graphic Novel "Halo: Blood Line" where Forerunner sentinels took Spartan and Covenant troops and the remainder of the two forces teamed up for a rescue mission.
please for the love of all that is holy please use footage with higher fps please there's so many clips in this video where the footage is low fps its really jarring , 5:20 for example 8:00 14:00
PC gaming has broken your eyes, plus this is audio content
sovieg union was a third party. other than that great video😂😂😂
BROKEN PIPI LINK
This, is why I hated everything post h3. Everything you worked towards was just thrown away. The allyship with the elites felt like a natural conclusion & was rewarding as a player but the reset button was hit just to fight the elites in a boring game, even though the elites redesigned looked like brutes, acted like brutes, fought like brutes…. They should have just used brutes.
Animation ruined by flamboyant flashing.
