- This recording is from my recent trip to Switzerland in January. We took the train through the alps with absolutely breathtaking scenery. I have cut out all the stops and when we were going through a tunnel(which was often). I apologise in advance for the reflections in the window, unfortunately if I opened the window it would’ve created inconvenient for other passengers.

We edit, mix, & master audio in Adobe Audition & edit video with Adobe After Effects 7 Premier Pro. We currently film with a Sony a6000, Fujifilm X-T2 & X-T3, GoPro Hero 7 Black. We record audio with a Zoom H2N.
Each video typically takes at least 24 hours to create. This includes:

I miss Switzerland so much!! Thank you for posting this, it makes my heart happy to remember this feeling of being on the train and seeing the most incredible scenery.

As a baby, I lived in a area where the train was literally right next to my window. Hearing this takes me back to that time, and I feel relaxed. Thanks for this video
I grew up a few blocks from the old Pennsy line in Ohio. Trains would run every 10-12 minutes all night long, often meeting in town.
After we moved to a town with no trains it took me a while to get to sleep without trains.

I've been in quarantine for 359 days, and I can't stand how trapped I feel. Train rides like this, just sitting and watching the world go by, are one of the biggest things I miss, and it just occurred to me to see if vids like this exist on UA-cam. Thank you so much for making this, you're making my isolation a little bit more bearable.

@@alexandraselesi My friends I live with and I are all extremely high risk/immunocompromised because we're disabled/chronically ill, we would be much more likely to land in the hospital and have severe, life-threatening symptoms if we caught it, so we had to stay quarantined this entire time. That message was from 4 months ago. We've recently gotten our vaccinations, and we're slowly reintegrating into the world again, slowly and carefully.

@@alexandraselesi Thank you so much. I mean that, sincerely. It's so nice (and tbh rare) to see someone hear about this and genuinely be kind and supportive. We've gotten so much shit this last year and a half, literally people saying folks like us should "take one for the team" (aka get sick and d13) so they don't have to be inconvenienced... I'm the least at risk of us and even my own doctor has told me I shouldn't "inconvenience myself" just for my friends' sakes. Shit's been pretty messed up.... I just hope we don't have another spike this winter with the new variants. The vaccines protect against a lot of the strains, but not all of them, so we still have to be careful.

I hosted a murder mystery party last Saturday, and the story was set on a train. My brother found this video and had it on in the background as we played the game. It was an EXCELLENT addition and really helped with the ambiance. 100% would recommend.

FINALLY! A Passenger view of a train ride in the snow. So many are from the drivers view. That is good so you can see everything down the road. But some times we want to escape on a train ride through the Alps, our on a rainy day or night on a train. This video is awesome. When you are sitting at your desk in the heart of the summer, it's nice to take a moment for a nice relaxing mini vacation aboard a train in Switzerland! Thanks so much for making and sharing this trip with all of us!

As a child I’ll never forget the freezing sledge rides in the driving snow through the Vallee de la Brevine in Switzerland with my old uncle Pernicus, and how when we arrived at his lovely, warm chalet, he’d get me drunk on kirschwasser, sit me on his lap and we’d play on his glockenspiel... To this day it brings tears to my eyes.
A most beautiful place... we spent holidays in Engleberg when I was young.

This is a great video . Very relaxing. The audio is used in several other UA-cam “railroad sound” videos. It is my favorite because it reminds me of riding in a Pullman. I especially like the fact the audio and video capture the locomotive horn blast and highway crossing bell. Makes me feel like I’m actually going on a trip. Great Ride! Thanks

This is nice. How do you filter out conversation and other cabin noise? I could see you were talking to people in the reflection. Is the audio track from somewhere else or is it special recording equipment?
The audio's been looped.
It's been done very cleverly, but notice how the audio doesn't change when the video cuts, and listen for the level crossing chime.

starting at 7:55, above the high mountain in the distance, you can see a plume of white smoke come from above and go on to the mountaintop. It's a plane landing elsewhere is my guess, but those dizzying heights sure affect perception! I hope to visit one day. Tell Tina Turner I'll just stay with her. ;)
The 3-D sound with headphones is insane. I keep looking around to see if I left the window open or if my desk is shaking!
