- Taking another trip northbound from Trondheim to Mosjøen. Starting out from Trondheim Central Station in a clear winter morning. As we are geting further north the weather is changing and we are getting snow and some reduced visibility.

Me too lol. I always thought driving a train would be a cool job but every time I watch one of these videos it puts me to sleep its just so relaxing. So I might not be the best person to drive the train afterall.

Me too but apparently when the volume is high on my phone and train honks his horn I immediately wake up 😂 the horn is like a nightmare but in a video not reality 😂

I am watching this video now since 2 hours and 13 minutes and am overwhelmed by the nature and the snow. It is fantastic when you drive through the snow with the tracks invisible. You seem to have the best job in the world. Great video - thank you for uploading this video.

Hi there. Thank you for this its so beautiful. I remember railroads stopping at all the small towns in wisconsin. But that wwas in the 60s whenbi was little. I remember it and this brings going to see my aunt veronica over the holidays back. I almost cried.

Thank you for a wonderful video. Although I was born in London, I now live in Trondheim (Saupstad) and my daughter lives in Overhalla. I have taken the route, Trondheim to Grong on many occasions, but have never seen views from the driver's perspective. Absolutely amazing.

Brilliant! The perfect perspective, lovely sound and a lovely place. I did the entire stretch in the summer of 1980 from Oslo to Mosjøen to visit friends working at the hotel in nearby Sandnessjøen. My best rail journey ever! On the way back, at night, a guy offered me coffee while we waited for the train. It took a few minutes for me to realise that I had to buy the coffee and then he supplied the hooch to go in it!
Passed down this line again in ‘92 on the way from Bodø to Oslo with two sets of reindeer antlers from Lofoten.
I am back for a third time to watch this video. Really like it. Thank You.

Jeg har vært der og fisket laks, fikk én på et kilo. En annen dag hoppet det en 10 kg+ foran meg i Grong, jeg hadde aldri en sjans.

this video is better than the original because it’s so much quieter and more relaxing. A different train me-thinks! Not an electric train, perhaps a diesel one. But the scenery is just beyond beautiful! Norway is very gorgeous in the Wintertime! The horn seems a bit antiquated though! 🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃

After a very patient and hopeful hour, maybe hour and twenty minutes, I felt like I should have had the cute snow bunny across the aisle from me by now sitting alongside me. Complete with hugs and kisses. I don't speak Norwegian and I didn't press the issue. So, when I spoke to her, it was only in Spanish. Probably I'll try English first the next trip. I fell in love with this route through the "slow TV" videos of the line in each season. There's been a few changes, and it feels like the line speed is faster, too. When those locos take power, I can almost feel my armchair pushing me!

Thank you for another wonderful video and all the other videos you have posted of this part of Norway. If it is possible it would be great to see this journey in the opposite direction. I appreciate that this may be difficult as, other than in the few months either side of midsummer, it is dark for most of the corresponding service in the southerly direction.

This is my go to sleep audio! Hooked up to my Bose Soundlnk, the engine, speed changes, occasional horn and sounds random noises of doors closing chatter, things being dropped…I thought I needed the click clack of iron wheels on rails to make me feel like I am on the train. The only thing missing is the gentle rocking motion. In sure the visuals are also great. I never make it that far!

@@src1973 Yea, i know. But that is because the daylight is over when I`m driving back home to Trondheim, and no one is interesting in watching a black screen :). But the days are getting longer now so in a few weeks i think I`m able to get a video from Mosjøen to Trondheim.

I live in the province of Québec (Canada) and I am amazed each time I see videos from Norway to see how this country resembles mine. The scenes in this vid could have been taken here, in Québec. Looking at these scenes I see places in the Saint-Laurent valley, or north of Montréal, or in the Laurentides, etc.
And, as I love my country, I just can't help but love Norway!
P.S.: BTW, the quality of the images is really dazzling!

Do these trains ever derail? There's so much snow on the rails, how can they be sure there's not a fallen tree or boulder on the track. Amazing. Here in Japan, if leaves fall, they're constantly surveying the tracks. ;)
