My sisters Lisa, Michelle and myself first met Mandy in November of 1985, after a concert in Toronto. We couldn't afford the show, and he kindly arranged for us to see his show the next day. He had me help lift Michelle (she was disabled) on the stage afterwards and sang Sondheim's "Children Will Listen" to her. We saw him a few times after that and I wish I could tell him that Michelle's now gone. I'll never forget his incredible generosity!!!!
Thanks so much for your generosity in Durham ! Letting an 89 year old great Grandmom come in at mid-night , in your meet and great , to get a hug from you , on her birthday, wow ! How many performers would bother with that ?! It was at the top of my bucket list ! Bless you ! #89
What a great guy! I hope to see him in something so special as the Princess Bride again one day. And for bringing us the Inigo Montoya we all love so much, thank you Mandy.
He's so intense and passionate and sincere about Everything he does ❣️ I've watched him for decades,{It's 2023 now} and still watch everything I can find of him.
Mandy Patinkin elevates his entire profession. I find myself hesitant to say he is an actor or entertainer because of the flotsam out there. Insightful and humble, why can't more in the industry be like him.
"I live 99% of my life in an imagined reality." Wow, that resonates. I feel like there are so many people who could describe themselves that way, but would never think to express it that way.
l'm so glad l got to see it in the theaters, and now l own the DVD :) He sound like an awesome person, and he's a wonderful actor too. They really did do the sword fighting themselves, which made the movie even more amazing.
Just dawned on me that he played Jason Gideon on Criminal Minds and I knew him as Inigo Montoya and both are my faves....WOW...I remember watching this movie as a kid and as a adult The Princess Bride is still my fave. My daughter even loves it.
so glad to see more of this interview. I listened to the whole thing yesterday. Mandy is the most inspiring person to listen to....and the interviewer compliments him perfectly.
And no wonder this movie is loved by everyone! Because everyone is trying to find their own true love. This movie will last forever. Thanks, Mandy (and Robb and the rest of the totally amazing cast!!!).
Holla! I am Inigo Montoya, you killed my father! Prepare to die! Greatest part ever. As I've grown older I have become aware of how impactful film has been on my life. This is one of the best ever!
What a lovely laugh in the morning sorry mandy I can't vote as I'm in the uk but it's so important for you to all vote in the uk I can't understand why people would vote for mr trump from a distance it's hard to imagine putting up with such a cold heart in charge of your country. Much love chris xx
BACKSTORY, anyone? The author of the BOOK, Wm. Goldman is a TRAGIC figure. His own childhood was a DISASTER. (he'll say so). THIS story was his ESCAPE from childhood, the one he TRULY wanted. THERE's the story about the story. Mandy P. is an affirmation of Goldman's DREAM~fantasy.

What a beautiful soul as well as a talented actor
My 14 yr old asked, “Why is Inigo speaking with an American accent?!?!?” 😂❤ She was so bewildered. That’s how deep it goes for us.

I DO remember thinking; ( wait, Hollywood is NEVER THIS good.) ~i was wrong THEN, too.

Thank you, yes! I'd read Goldman's books all my life, and learned about his life, too.
Ok quit messing around and post the whole hour interview!!!!!!
Provocative way of thinking.
Mandy playing another Spanish man... 🙄
