the council member of that district is simply bluffing. She has done nothing to house these people. She is simply collecting a big fat paycheck, benefits and a huge pension for her. It is terrible. I applaud that couple for doing such a great sacrifice to help these people who are meth addicts, drug addicts, alcoholics etc.. They will not succeed but the fact that they are trying is simply amazing.

@@Paiadakine I'm going to do the math. What is the homeless population vs how many Billions of dollars are being spent. You could probably make each homeless person a millionaire at this rate. If you made a dollar a second,, it takes 12 days to make a million. To make a billion it takes 32 years. People don't conceive how much money that actually is. I'm one of them. I'm paying $400/mo to rent one of these RVs from some guy I found on Facebook marketplace because I couldn't find anything else affordable. There's no electricity or running water. It's dark and cold at night. I work. I'm not on drugs. I'm not mentally ill. I've just have a lot of bad luck and debt and car problems since covid. I can't afford to rent proper housing at these current prices. Plus I have an eviction on my record from after when my mom died of cancer. I've spoken with cops and housing program workers but nobody can seem to help. No housing is available except for shelters, which I can't do. I have cats and work late and need my privacy. What's the solution for us? I'm already doing everything I can, and I can't afford to move. I recently tried getting a janitorial job to get back onto my feet, but then I got fired over too many homelessness related problems, ironically. Now I'm back to doing Uber/Lyft/Instacart until my car breaks again. Passengers with luggage hate getting me as their driver. My car is filled with important personal belongings that I can't keep in the RV because they aren't safe there. I don't know what I'm going to do once my car breaks again. The car is a lemon. I already put my dad over $3k into debt for the last transmission rebuild. In addition to over a year's worth in missed car payments, since I fell into homelessness. He can't help me again. I haven't even paid him back for last time yet. I just feel like giving up on society and turning to crime. Why do I even bother anymore? Nobody cares anyway. I'm sick of begging and suffering everyday and getting nowhere.

He can't help me again. I haven't even paid him back for last time yet. I just feel like giving up on society and turning to crime. Why do I even bother anymore? Nobody cares anyway. I'm sick of begging and suffering everyday.

This is bullshit

Damnn this is pretty sad. Pretty sure each and everyone of them had a different life before ending up like that. 🙏🏽

@@FightOstinFight nah. there are no jobs. it's either be in the top x% or end up homeless, and x gets smaller every year. Right now the labor force participation rate is 50%. You think half the country are on drugs?

I've been asking for help for months and I'm still stuck here paying $400/mo to live in one of these RVs. I work and I'm not on drugs.
