I feel my nerves aswell when going to any club in Berlin. It gets worse when you have been inside, atleast for me, because i know i like the vibe inside [insert club name]. My last Berghain visit was end of the summer last year, went on Sunday for just two hours, and no it was not because it was horrible, i had a train to catch ;)
i have been there the same weekend. i understand completely the nervous feeling even if guestlist. The place is just unique. I dont want to call it club, because clubs are all the others in the world. Every aspect fits in there the way it should be and it is an irreplaceable environment.
Sounds like a mixture of Paradise Garage/Studio 54/The Saint/Area/ The Boy/Bains Douche and the Palace and the Clubs in Ibiza before COVID, all in one club. From the stress of “will I get in”syndrome to being a star in your head because you got in. At 62 I’m glad I did all this before in all these clubs mentioned above BUT if I happen to be in Berlin maybe I will go, and DANCE the night away 🙏🏾
How I'd love to go there since I've been in the scene for years and going to Berlin in 2 weeks , however I feel like there is no chance for me to get in as I look like a really vanilla blond chicken 🤧
No that's the much more famous and talented Asquith. I am Fred Asquith creator of multiple low-to-mid level techno releases and being played at berghain is the peak of my career haha

"It is THE best place to consume dance music..." I'm glad you, sorta, pointed out that this was your point of view, and you Do seem to be fanboy-ing quite a bit. It's entirely subjective. That "sense of entitlement" that you touched on is at the forefront of why many people consider it a bit shit, and therefore overhyped. But if you've been 12 times you clearly enjoy it, and good for you man.
I think it's a given that a video called Fred reviews X on a channel called Fred is going to be a subjective opinion on something. Yeah I am in awe of the place (or 'fanboying' as you say). Obviously other people, presumably you it sounds like, have different opinions on the best clubs and also Berghain itself. I think it is highly hyped but, as I said in the video, seemingly impossible to overhype based on taking multiple people and it living up to their hype (including my own the first time I went). You clearly feel differently, and that's ok, I look forward to your review on your channel!
