Sir, I can not imagine in WWII a Senior Chief Machinist mate with 18 years of service and combat experience Letting a guy who was 1 year ago on a farm in Iowa and just made 3rd class get in front of him in line ! Not saying you are not right in theory, but I think the practice might have been different….
